Due to POPULAR request….we’ve moving up our open thread time so that our friends outside of the US can participate too! Let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Now…enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? Time for another Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Open Thread. The Simpsons are all new tonight, what will happen in the new episode? The Terwilliger Event hit our devices this past week, are you enjoying the event so far? Sunday Night Baseball tonight features the Reds at Cardinals, will you be watching? NBA and NHL playoffs are both in full swing, how’s your team doing? Do anything fun this weekend?

Soooo close to 10 million, but the double edged sword strikes, missed the first chance for bonus donuty goodness, back by 150k.
On a good note (thanks to Sandra again for reminding me 😉 had my KL 5 sprinkle bonus today, and am up to 50 with FP taps.
Tossing up the two 10 million bonus aspirationals, but nervous about saving some money for act two…
Might as well wait. The big ones will be there for a while. You may need to buy an extra chance or two at the three donut bonus, there may be a need for cash in this event or there may be a million-plus dollar building come up in level 52. Yea, might as well wait a bit longer. I am only at $3.5 million so I am jealous at your predicament
Left a message on here that was “waiting to be moderated” last night before hitting the hay, and it seems to have gone *poof* so guess I’ll try and leave it again. Noticed something new yesterday when setting up my tasks for the night. Not sure if its something new with the latest update, but when setting Radioactive Man’s task, he talked. Don’t remember him doing that before (in game).
Not sure if its something I just haven’t noticed before, maybe my sound wasn’t up high enough, or if its something they added with the most recent patch, but after assigning Radioactive Man to a task, he now talks! They voiced Radioactive Man.
Color me impressed. A “freemium” player who (hasn’t???) spent donuts on seedlings has over 14,000 pts. on the leader board. How is this possible?
Lots of friends dropping seedlings? Friends might be “B” and “C” and “D” games, etc. Also, the player may have benefited from the “double-up” glitch with the box of 50 mutant seedlings.
As a completely dedicated Freemium, who just received our little Mutant friend, it’s easy 😉
Give up sleep, compromise commitments, develop insomnia, adjust to the pain of carpal tunnel, ignore social commitments…

It is not so much carpal tunnel for me. It is just above my elbow. I think it is from holding my arm still so my fingers can avoid spray cans (or hit fast moving green blobs). I have adjusted my sleep schedule such that I go to bed after midnight (gotta start that first daily quest).

etamni – Wow, you’re landing zone is really creepy-looking right now… It’s like it’s infested! 😬
Lots of mutants? Or the “Construction” sign? I’m getting ready for a major remodel of my city and have started clearing out some items that aren’t essential and that are in the way of the remodel I’m planning. I’ll be keeping the corner that has the Stonecutters, with the curved roads, but nothing else is guaranteed or even decided yet. (Well, Squidport probably won’t change much either, at least not right away.) Not going to nuke because of the time involved in making curved roads, and I’ve got corn growing in the farm.
No – it’s “infested” with all of the people, plants, and seeds all swarming within a fairly small square area. (You might have to see it through someone else’s game to see what I mean.) Most of the other “infestations” I’ve seen in other people’s towns were along a single long road; there’s something about the square that makes it look more like an infestation than a “traffic jam.”
Yeah, I forgot that when I moved the Monsarno building, the landing zone moved with it.

I will be going away to a folk festival this weekend, starting in the early afternoon tomorrow (Friday), GMT -4 (EDT). I will be back home on Sunday evening.
While I’m away, I’ll have VERY limited time to check in on the game – probably just some quick tapping in the morning and at night, before bed. So please don’t waste any seeds on me during that time, since I may not get to tap them in time!
Also, I may fall behind on keeping up with the posts here (which is even more time-consuming than the game!), so apologies in advance if you don’t get one of my usually prompt replies.
I would also appreciate if you would think good thoughts my way for a successful weekend…with the disability I’ve been dealing with this year, even attempting this trip is a big deal, but I felt I had to try because a) I haven’t seen my parents in a year and this was a more doable way of doing that than traveling all the way to NYC, and b) this festival is the most awesome thing that I do every year! 1) Is that definite? like, visible in the files ‘n’ stuff?
2) I know it’s early, and I’m not expecting you to know, but do you know what would happen to spades we have at the end of act 1? Do they convert to new currency or disappear?
2a) if they convert or disappear, do they do so at a fixed time, or is there some flexibility for us to ‘choose’ when to switch currencies?
I’m not “expecting” you to know, but you amaze me so often that I wouldn’t be entirely shocked if you did know. Sorry for asking so ridiculously early, but if I might need to modify any tactics I like to be forewarned.

1. Yes, it’s definite. (if you don’t believe me just look at past events…the currency for prizes (not crafting) always changes with each phase..when there are multiple phases.
2. No to early. Just like with Superheros, when the new act starts your count goes to 0, as it’s a new currency item. The spades will not convert to the new currency item. If they did you’d automatically have all of the prizes once Act 2 starts, and what would be the point of playing?
2a. N/A…see 2.
When Act 2 starts it’ll be just like when act 2 started BUT you’ll have neighbor actions unlocked and you’ll already have items for crafting.

Re, spades carrying over – of course, that’s obvious when you think about it, I patently didn’t! I need to time it well then, just in time to get my next batch of bonuts (thanks Sandra for le mot juste).
If past history is anything to go by, I’ll be about 3/4 of the way to the next batch when the new act hits.
Swiss – Just to be fair, I have to say that someone else here (etamni? Cube?) came up with that word…I just adopted it into my lexicon. (I’m all for anything that reduces the number of words in my posts, since I’m almost always writing these on an iPad, which is way slower than actual typing would be). I also fell in love with, and often used, the term “Friendville,” which I first saw used here quite a while ago.
Hi to all my awesome neighbors, thought I would let the ones from my towns, AreYou4Real2, 22mysweetie7, 70notagain403, addictivem663, and greenies5622, know that I have not let these towns go to seed. I know, bad pun.😉 By removing all the streets except for around the Monsaron Research Center, I am hoping it will make it easier for u to get the tall dudes. The streets will be replaced after this fun event. Also, thank you for the seedlings u r sending my way. I hit everything before I get them, but I always get my seed. Another bad joke. Lol. I hope everyone is enjoying this latest event as much as I am. Mary Jo
