Crook and Ladder and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Space Tappers!

It’s getting hot in Springfield, as the Crook and Ladder mini event has invaded our games for the last week plus bringing several  new items to our pocket sized towns. With all of the new items  added to Tapped Out I thought now would be a good time to take a look at how all of these items impact the Conform-O-Meter ratings (especially since this might help you decide what to keep out & what to put into storage).

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Crook and Ladder brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring us a new items to add to our Springfield.  Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

Item Cost Category Points
Fire Truck Prize Obedience 150
Fire Hydrant Prize/10 Donuts Obedience 100
Fire Station Prize Obedience 500
Vehicle Pileup 75 Donuts Obedience 150
Box of Fireworks/Pinwheel Firework 60 Donuts/40 Donuts Vanity 600/400

And there you have it…the conform-o-meter impact for stuff that’s too hot the handle….

How’s your Conform-O-Meter doing?  Any items your surprised about?  Any items you’ll put away because of what they impact?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Am I reading this right? The Fire Station alone provides 500 Obedience, but you only need 360 total to get 5 stars at level 59?

If correct, with all the items this event provides, one’s obedience needs should be fulfilled for the life of the game.

  2. Finally! These items have buffed my obedience so much. I’ve gone through levels 34-52 in under two months and I’m still doing the level 36 tasks lol, so I can’t build the new buildings that count for my obedience yet!

  3. Hi Alissa,

Thanks for the post, always so helpful.
I’m struggling to get my tree hugging up to five stars. I’m lvl59 so I know I need a lot of points but how many trees do i need to get? I only have 1 1/2 stars for tree hugging 4 1/2 overall. I have heaps of trees/plants (well I think I do) as well as a ton of stuff from last Halloween event but still strugle to get it up. Any suggestions? Btw I’m a freemium player so don’t want to spend donuts to get it up.
    Thanks heaps

    • Honestly, it’s all about trees. Place as many as you can…of varying types. It helps 🙂

    • I use the flowers (the ones that cost $365, I think). They give more points than most trees/shrubs and since they’re 1×1 they’re easy to stash in small dead space behind buildings.
You can also make a small garden plot quite easily to boost the rating,

      • Thanks for the tips Alissa and Jeff.
Guess it’s time to start tapping.
Time for a forest and some gardens 😀

    • I’m a fan of using my plants to spell things in game or making cool creations with that to help keep my Tree Hugging at 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s.

I thought you may want to check out the as of yesterday new special promotion in game for some special items that are giving back donuts when you buy and not all but some help tree hugging – https://tstoaddicts.com/2016/04/13/41316-in-game-update-spring-field-cleaning-gil-offer/

The starter bushes are probably what I used at first then trees. I had over 100 bushes and 50 trees I vaguely recall when I was leveling up.

      I hope this helps.
      ✌️❤️🍀
      Happy Tappin

  4. Have just noticed my righteousness is at zero stars, it hasn’t affected my overall conform-o-meter & I have no vandalism in my town

    • have you recently leveled up?

      • Leveled up to 59 before the casino event but just started the quest line as was gathering cash! Not sure when the stars changed😐

    • Assuming there’s not a glitch in the matrix… Whether or not the change in your overall conform-o-meter is discernible would depend upon 1) what it was before, and upon 2) your overall rating. Keep in mind that the overall rating is an average of all eight of the individual categories, and it generally rounds down by half stars.

For example: If you have five stars in all categories but one, and zero stars in that last category, the math says you should have an overall rating of four stars. Just add one star to that last category, and you should jump to 4.5 stars overall… but you have to get *all five* stars in that last category to get five stars overall.

    • Same thing happened to me. My righteousness was 5 stars and now is 1/2.

      • For me the same thing happened. I noticed that my rightouesness rating dropped to 0.5 star, and my overal to a 4 star (from 5 star). This happened after one friend (I should say ex-friend by now) tagged my elementary school. It was however just one tag, and I can’t imagine that this would cause the drop to 0.5 stars…

    • I have the same issue… but with half a star

    • Mine dropped to 1/2 star… I wonder if it could have something to do with the Spring Cleaning event. Maybe we’ll have to “clean” things to bring it up…
