Christmas 2019 (Abe’s in Toyland): Full Dialogue Week 2, A Foggy London Christmas

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Christmas continues in our pocket-sized towns!  Yes, the snow is still fresh on the streets of Springfield, as the residents do their best to win out on the holiday hustle and bustle!

Now that we’re wrapping up week 2 of the event, it’s time to look back at the dialogue.  Just in case you missed it by tappin’ too fast…

A Foggy London Christmas Pt. 1
Auto starts

Grampa: And so, I spent that whole Christmas Eve with Santa and his elf. Sliding down chimneys and eating people’s pies…
Death: What about delivering presents?
Grampa: Yeah, I don’t remember much of that.
Death: Doesn’t seem like you actually saved Christmas.
Grampa: Oh, that! That’s *another* story.
Make Grampa Tell Another Questionable Story- 4hrs
Make Death Heat Up Some Popcorn- 4hrs

A Foggy London Christmas Pt. 2
Auto starts

Death: So now you’re going to tell me how you saved Christmas, right? I mean, tick tock.
Grampa: You bet! It was World War Two, and I was a soldier stationed in London. We were getting ready for D-Day, or as I called it, Crap-Your-Pants Morning, when I met my soulmate…

Young Abe: Excuse me, miss. Can you tell me the way to Carnaby Street? I’m terrible at reading maps.
Edwina: This *is* Carnaby Street, soldier. What outfit are you with?
Young Abe: First Recon Division. I’m the pathfinder for the entire invasion.
Make Grampa Have Tea with Edwina- 4hrs
Collect Souvenirs-
x100.

A Foggy London Christmas Pt. 3
Auto starts

Grampa: Me and Edwina fell hard for each other. We were young, and life was short, and I had a lot of army-supplied cigarettes to share. We were out walking on Christmas Eve, when the anti-aircraft guns started going crazy. Next thing ya know, a flying sleigh crashes out of the sky, and Santa climbs out.

Santa Claus: Achtung, Englander schwein! I have been shot down!
Young Abe: Santa Claus?!
Santa Claus: Er, ja, das is correct. I am Der Weihnachtsmann… I mean, Santa Claus. And definitely not a German spy in disguise. Nein, nein, nein.
Make Grampa Reminisce About Edwina- 4hrs
Collect Souvenirs- x100.

A Foggy London Christmas Pt. 4
Auto starts

Edwina: Abe, I don’t think that’s actually Santa Claus.
Young Abe: Sure it is. Look, he’s holding a present for the children.
Santa Claus: Ja, a nice exploding bomb for Churchill. I mean, children. I mean, a present for Churchill.
Young Abe: Oh, you’d have to get past so many soldiers to see Churchill.
Santa Claus: Ja, und I haf so many other presents to deliver. Perhaps you could give this to Churchill for me? If you do me that favor, you can have this bottle of elf magic.
Young Abe: Yum! Smells just like German peppermint schnapps!
Make Death Stare in Disbelief at What He’s Hearing- 4hrs
Collect Souvenirs- x100.

A Foggy London Christmas Pt. 5
Auto starts

Death: You never delivered that present, did you?
Grampa: Nah, me and Edwina got drunk on peppermint schnapps. One thing led to another, we got romantic in the back of a Jeep. No idea what happened to the package, although I heard later on that a spy got blown up trying to get away in a Jeep. And that’s how me getting drunk saved Churchill!
Make Grampa Save Churchill and Get Romantic- 4hrs
Collect Souvenirs- x100.
Death: What did that story have to do with saving Christmas?
Grampa: Nothing! That was the story of how Homer’s half-sister Abbey was conceived. Edwina was her mother, and cheap government cigarettes were her father.
Death: Uh, this is taking way longer than I figured. Can I use your bathroom?
Grampa: Okay, but number one only.
Death: *annoyed grumble*

And with that you’ve completed week 2!

Thoughts on the second week?  Did you finish the prize track? Ready for week 3?  Thoughts on the event in general?  Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’m really disappointed in the lack of Christmas items available. So far, The Vault has had ZERO Christmas items and the first two parts of the game has offered only a couple of small items. I really hope that parts 3 and 4 offer some Christmas buildings and decorations.
