Episode Recap: Bart’s New Friend

Hey hey hey amigos. Wookiee back with another episode recap from the current season of the Best. Show. Ever. We really like this as a feature on the site and even though real life and event goodness sometimes delay their arrival, we’re fairly caught up actually. You can see previous recaps here. This one is for Season 26, Episode 11: “Bart’s New Friend”. I know some people prefer to watch these on their own so only click more if you don’t mind SPOILERS. I know everyone can’t watch them so sometimes reading them can be a nice replacement. Also fun to see what others took away from an episode.

From the Mouth of Addicts: Mail, Make-up, Murals and More

mouthsofaddictsmailcall

The war may be on but what else is going on in the world of The Simpsons besides nerds, barbarians, shield and shenanigans?  Well… you”re about to find out because other players/readers wanted to share some cool stuff

Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out!  This week’s post comes to us from a few different tappers.  Everyday we receive TONS of emails from you guys with fun shots of your town, random thoughts about the Simpsons & of course…we’d be lying if we said it wasn’t our favorite… admiration for TSTO Addicts!  So we thought this week we’d share.  In addition, we also get quite a few comments with neat-o stuff.  I personally hate when I think something might get buried in comments and not seen so to stop that, we included them here.

Our first item was an e-mail sent to us from a reader who asked to stay anonymous.

(I say this anonymously, being that I work at mac I’m not allowed to spill the juices, but ya didn’t hear it from me! Just wanted my TRUE Simpson addicts to get first dibs! Keep up the awesome blog!!)

Simpsons MAC announcement

The MAC line launched already so if this seems like your thing… check it out!  You can also see more at the MAC website.

Next up, reader Bloodangel736 popped by in the comments to share this:

I was looking through local news today and found this though!

I don’t live there, but I figured you would appreciate some Simpson news!

I wish I lived closer to Portland to see all this awesomeness.  If I’m ever up that way, I’ll be sure to check this out in person.

Another great comment from the past week was from reader Inés Álvarez. She wanted to make sure everyone saw this hilarious video of Homer taking the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is serious business and I applaude anyone who took the challenge and/or donated money.  MyTube is full of celebrities and others doing this.  My beautiful Ewok did the challenge and donated this past weekend even if California is in a drought.  At least she watered the front lawn in the process.

Speaking of the little fuzzball, last on the list is a clip she made sure I saw the other day and I just wanted to share it.  We talked about Judd Apatow writing a Simpsons script a while back but as Season 26 approaches, it’s coming soon.  Mr. Apatow starts talking about the episode around the 1:48 mark.

That wraps up this edition of From the Mouths of Addicts.  What did YOU think of it all?   Sound off in the comments below.  You know we LOVE hearing from you! 🙂

And keep sending us those emails!  You never know when you might end up on the next From the Mouths of Addicts!

Once a week (at least) we plan on showcasing your words (art or video) for the world, and TSTO Community, to read!  Here’s your chance to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out.  Simply send in your posts to our Addicts email account: TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com (many of you already do) and we’ll do the rest!  We’ll pick (at least) one post to be showcased here on Addicts every week.  So send us your posts…we can’t wait to see what you have to say!

Simpsons News: Judd Apatow

Eye on Springfield

This is just a quick little blurb to share some info I found during an Oogle search. The most recent episode, “Steal This Episode” (S25:E9) was a very enjoyable one.  I especially liked that Judd Apatow made an appearance in it lamp0oning himself.  For fun, I did a search of “Judd Apatow Simpsons” and found out some cool news besides his recent cameo.

Judd Apatow wrote a script for a Simpsons episode apparently and to say I’m excited would be an understatement. To read that it was written in 1989 has me nostalgic for the early years of the show.  The episode is supposed to be a part of the next season of The Simpsons.  I knew Season 26 had been picked up by FOX but to see more about episodes in it really makes me happy that TSTO may be around for a little while.

I have been a fan of Judd Apatow since his amazing show Freaks and Geeks (he was an executive producer).  A lot of his favorite actors that he works with come from this gig and I always get a good laugh out of his movies.  You may not realize he has produced some awesome comedies as well and tweaked the scripts of others.  I linked his wikipedia page above if you want to know more.

Here is the full article for your enjoyment.

And that’s about it.  Told you I’d be quick and if you don’t think that’s newsworthy, go talk to Alissa.  TTFN… Wookiee out!
