Not to sour you on the topic (haha) but the lemon tree can ONLY be won in the Mystery Box. (Please know that anyone who claims they can get you a lemon tree can only achieve this by a hack)
The sweet thing about the lemon tree is it’s another item that provides cash for your town! Every 6 hours the game hands you a basket of lemons and when you click on them they turn to cash!
When the game first came out if you saw a lemon tree in a friends’ town you could steal it from them and plant it in your Springfield. Then, after 24 hours any of your friends could steal it from you!
However, with the October 2012 update the ability to steal the lemon tree was disabled. EA describes this as a glitch and say that they hope to get this ability restored in the future.
Have you been lucky enough to get the elusive Lemon Tree?
I love my lemon tree. It took me a few months before I got one. Personally, I hope EA never fixes the glitch that stopped neighbors from being able to steal it, because I don’t want to lose mine.
Is there a limit of one tree per town? I’ve never noticed anyone having more than one and I wondered…
It’s not a glitch. They intentionally put a stop to it. Recoded it and everything. I see it all the time. Lol
It seems like a really cool friend action and throwback, but I suppose it’d be unfair, and allow people to have heaps for a day.
I’m at level 43 and still don’t have it 🙁 getting mystery boxes every 5 days as I’m a daily player!
It randomly hits. Some players have been at it for 2 yrs and didn’t yet. Others for 2 days and get it. Everywhere in between too.
So what you are saying is that I should not be frustrated at level 40 without one, I think I am just jealous of everyone else!!

Yes, this is my tenth day playing, and I won the lemon tree from the sign-in mystery box. It was driving me crazy because I couldn’t find the tree in the store (I wanted to know how much I’d saved, heh.)
After not finding it in the shop, the first thing that popped to mind was TSTOAddicts. I just knew your crew would have the answer, and you did!

I had a Lemon tree when the game first came out and every time I switched to the friends screen and came back it would reload and drop more money!!!
My son is at level 36 and still hasn’t received the lemon tree. I thought this was one of the first things you received from the mystery box. Our friends who just started already received one. Is this common?
It’s all chance based. I know it took Alissa a long time to get it. Eventually your son will win it.
Just an update. He’s at level 48… still no lemon tree. I’m tempted to just buy the damn mystery mixes to be gets it. He’s so bummed out about it.
