Hello Fellow Tapped Out Addicts!
When Levels 30, 31, & 33 were introduced into TSTO fellow Tappers saw, less than regular, Simpsons characters unlocked and they they were all voiced (Eddie, Lou, Wolfcastle, and even Herman!) But, Mrs. Krabappel, Martin and Milhouse are all regular characters on the Simpsons, yet their voice is strangely absent from The Simpsons Tapped Out. Why is that?
In all honesty? I don’t really know but I’m sure it has a lot to do with royalties and licensing. Here’s what I do know, so far the only characters in the game that are voiced are those that are voiced by the 6 lead Simpsons actors – Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer.
Wonder what that means for future characters added to Tapped Out? Well here’s a list of characters that are voiced by the main actors. With this list we should be able to figure out which future characters are likely to have a voice and which ones will be permanently on mute!

So based on this list you’ll see that Milhouse, Mrs. Krabappel, Agnes Skinner, Hank Scorpio, Fat Tony, Rod Flanders and Martin are not voiced by a main actor and are also not voiced in the game.
Also, you’ll see that there are not a lot of female characters voiced by main characters (aside from the Bouvier family) this could potentially be a reason why there haven’t been many female additions to the game recently. Of course speculation would be…maybe EA is trying to work out a deal with the supporting actors to have those characters voiced?
Here’s hoping, because this game is way more fun when you have a sarcastic comment coming back at you from a character you just tapped on!
Personally, whether a character is voiced makes a big difference on whether I buy them or not.
Hi tappers, first time poster here… I have noticed that all the phrases voiced when a character is tapped are from something said in an eppisode. As far as why characters voiced by tress McNeil or other non full time voice actors do not speak, I would venture the same guess that it is contractual based. Here is too hoping Millhouse and the others someday soon speak to us in game!

This article has proven to be correct. The characters in this list that have appeared have voices and characters that have been added that don’t speak aren’t here. This is definitely the reason, but if I were a voice actor for the simpsons I would be more than happy for my catchphrases to be added to the game so I don’t see why they haven’t been able to add their voices.

Just throwing this out there- Ms. Krabappel will never be voiced now. The actress that voiced her in the TV series has passed away so unless they voiced her after this was written (I don’t have her) there’s a very slim chance she will ever speak in the game. Well, unless the creators get permission to use previously recorded vocals from the TV series.

So? Comment to a year old or not, tiffany just answered something that I wondered about for a while.
I was pointing out the fact the discussion on the post was dated BEFORE her death. So her death changed many aspects and ways the post applied. That is the “so”.
As for the voice, still same issue. Gotta get copyright releases. Now from her Trust. Without it, no voice.
