Ever see our friend Bart pulling the plug on your game? Doesn’t it drive you crazy? Almost makes you want to smack Bart around a little bit doesn’t it?
Usually when you first see Bart appear panic sets in, and you start to think ‘Ahhh, What happened?’ ‘What did I do?’ ‘What can I do?’ ‘WHERE DID MY SPRINGFIELD GO?!’ ‘WHY YOU LITTLE…’
Well first of all…R-E-L-A-X. There’s nothing you can do. So, don’t panic. Just wait and be patient. It’s a problem with the servers, and they’ll come back up again they always do (usually within a couple of hours). And I promise you…your Springfield will still be there when they come back up. I know it’s hard for us Addicts, but TRY to find something else to do until the servers come back up.
Starting to get TSTO withdrawals? Here are some more proactive things you can do while you deal with the servers being down:
-Check the Origin server status (here) If it’s a server issue, and they really are down, you won’t be able to get in. And if they’ve been having problems you shouldn’t be able to see your friends (the account server controls logging in, the social server controls seeing your friends).-Determine whether it’s a game issue or origin issue. Go to your computer and try to login to Origin there. If you can log in it’s a TSTO game issue, if you can’t login then you know it’s an Origin issue.
-Check the clock. Usually if it’s between midnight and 2am (US Central Standard Time) it’s related to server maintenance. They’ll come back up when it’s done.
-Check out the Tapped Out Facebook Page (here) and see if more Tappers are having the same problem. This will help you relax knowing others are experiencing it too!
-Try visiting a regular web page (like TSTO Addicts!). If it loads extremely slow, or not at all, the problem could be with your connection and not Origin or EA. Check your WiFi connection, your 3G (or 4G) status, or your ISP to verify.
I know going through TSTO Withdrawal can be difficult, but while you’re in a state of panic here are some things you should NEVER do:
-Try to create a new account with the same email (even if you’re prompted to do so). That’s one way to ensure you’ll lose your Springfield or misplace it for the unbearably long time it will take for EA to find it again.
-Get angry – well, a little angry is probably okay if you’ve spent real money on the game. But don’t overdo it. No need to punch walls (or Flanders!).
– Panic – after you’ve been playing for a while you’ll have gone through this a time or two before. Everything should return once the server problems are solved.
Of course you could always come back to TSTO Addicts if the servers are down (and when they’re up and running too!). We always have tons of things for fellow Addicts to do to prevent the TSTO Withdrawal!
Literally have this happen like once every 3-5 towns when I’m visiting my friends towns for my daily duties. With 100 friends you can imagine how frustrating this is getting..kicked outta game, back to my town, click on friends, find what town I’m up to, complete 3 towns actions, get kicked outta game. Repeat this process over and over. Something that should take 15-20 minutes is taking up to a hour. It’s honestly making me not want to do the social side of the game. If anyone else experiences this or has a solution please let me know?
I also see Bart a couple of times while visiting neighbors. I only have around 45 friends so I might see him more if I had more neighbors.

Still having problems connecting to server last few days not been right since mono rail install flooding out on a character when so close to getting him I use my kindle never had issues before

Heads up! The servers are down again 1/1/15😰. A lot of ppl r complaining on other sites. It started w Homer’s new year’s day questline. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.*fingers crossed*

I’ve been playing tapped out and wanted to buy more doughnuts, but it says connection error when I try to connect to the in-app store. Any ideas as to what it could be? Thank you !
Could be an issue with the app market itself. Try exiting out of your game, log out of the app market, restart device, log back in to app market. Then launch app and try again.
Can somebody please HELP ME my son has deleted Bart and Martin and these are needed for sacred parchment missions can anybody tell me how to recover these characters my son is 13 and has special needs so it wasn’t do intentional thankyou my email address is ********
Oh no! First, check to make sure they’re really deleted. In other words go to townhall make sure they’re not on the list. If they’re not, then go to your inventory (the 4 way arrows bottom right, than the cardboard box on the bottom left) and make sure they’re not listed in there. If you don’t see Bart’s Treehouse or the Springfield Library in your inventory (those are the buildings they came with) then go to your store. You should see Bart and Martin (with their buildings) in your list of buildings, where you can purchase them. Hope that helps! 🙂
DRATS!!! So frustrating server up & down all day, plus when I can get in my quests won’t unlock? I hope they are turning our rivers blue again, which might be part of problem. Would be awesome if we are getting something new. Alas this is a game & not worst thing in life (but pretty close) 🙂

I DO want to smack Bart! but Bart isn’t the worst that can happen, so I’m (kinda) cool.
The lingering nightmares of the Harp of Death still plauges many Tappers *shudders* for the past three updates I’ve heard the first chord of that dreadful chime…. only last about 30 sec but long enough to freeze my blood and paralyze me. Takes me hours to get warm again. Other reports tells us it can last up to 15 min! Horrible! Still, it is better than when the Harp was at its terrible peak, then we were shut out for DAYS even as long as a week! Talk about withdrawal! So, think about the Harp when you wanna whine about Bart 🙂
