Friday the 13th, 2013….
Jason on television, Villains at Disneyland and of course Halloween coming to TSTO!!! For all of us Addicts, Halloween may be only a week away or like last year, some time in October (dropped on the 3 October 2012 btw). Homer is literally breaking down the door as we speak.
I just hope that pocket watch of his is set to now o’clock lol. This Wookiee is so excited even I am going a little batty!
Besides my anticipation, Addicts has a 2D Halloween Contest which still blows my mind and already I have heard buzz about it on the tapped-out community.
If you’re looking for like minded individuals to show your ideas or help you out, there are a ton over there including one of the best 2D artisans out there, the one and only Shelfcleaner. He is not an Addicts writer and is very helpful. There are also a few up and coming 2D desisigners over there too! The people over there are really amayzazing.
Anywho, back to my craziness! The Simpsons have a long history of insanity and with Halloween coming soon, I can’t help but think about their “The Shining” tribute in Treehouse of Horror V.
The Simpsons writers really do seem to love them some Stanley Kubrick.
I have read that Kubrick is the most referenced director on the Best. Show. Ever. and (IMHO) it is for good reason. Combine that with the fact that Stanley K. was also a Simpsons fan and you have something CRAZY AWESOME! Hopefully the EA programmers are fans also and this Halloween will bring us Bart in costume as Alex!
Back to Simpsons insanity. Who is crazier than Eleanor Abernathy? I mean, besides being known as The Crazy Cat Lady, she even seems to have a love interest who is dog crazy! Some might say she knits with one needle.
So many characters in The Simpsons have had their moments of madness, it would be impossible to list them all. Here are some of my favorite basket cases…
Homer’s kookiness could probably be a post in itself.
His insanity is probably genetic, poor Bart!
Of course, Robert Terwilleger isn’t crazy. He’s as sane as a peach orchard boar.
Ned got locked up at one point. Not his fault though as he was raised by Beatniks that didn’t believe in discipline.
Even Lunchlady Doris wants in on the action!
One of my favorite Simpsons insanity moments comes from Season 8, Episode 9 (El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer). Homer goes a little loco after eating Chief Wiggum’s chili that was made with Guatemalan Inanity Peppers.

While I would never eat something as crazy as this, I’m glad Homer did for no other reason than Johnny Cash got a cameo as Space Coyote!!! (FRAKKING JOHNNY CASH!!!)
Well, that about sums up my ramblings about Halloween, crazy Simpsons characters and Insanity Peppers. I know this whole post was pretty random but that was actually my goal. All the Wookiee ramblings might make you think I was the crazy one? WELL… YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT!!!
If you ever wonder how the writer’s here come up with all of the content we do, the true answer is probably a mixture of insanity, creativity, love of The Simpsons, TSTO Addiction and the clown that keeps me and Alissa up at nights!

It’s crazy to imagine I missed this post, and perhaps equally crazy missing the Michael Jackson episode when Homer was committed. I enjoyed the insanity none-the-less. Thanks for refrancing this post 🙂
I really hope that crazy cat lady gets her place in the game and halloween would be perfect for that! Id also like to see Jimbo and he could have a halloween themed quest to steal candy from younger children 😀

Nice post Wookiee. I loved Bart’s Clockwork Orange costume the first moment I saw it, and have always thought it would be cool to have it in my favorite game when I started getting outfits. So I’m wishing for this halloween outfit the most (fingers crossed). One of my first 2D works was Bart as Alex (if you want to check it out, it’s posted on flickr and on http://www.tapped-out.co.uk).
