Level 35 is here (woohoo!) and with it comes Jub-Jub, a premium character for the Simpsons Tapped Out. Wookiee talked about Jub-Jub earlier in the week, check out his post here for more about who Jub-Jub is. I’m sure you’re asking “Should I Spend Donuts On This?” Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding Jub-Jub to your Springfield.
Character: Jub-Jub
Donut Price: 90 Donuts
Pros:
-First pet to have a task! (12hr task to flick tongue)
-Has a very small 1 part quest with Selma
-Selma has a 6hr task with him (Cuddle Jub-Jub)
-Comes with The Springfield Pet Shop (boots your consumerism rating!)
-At 90 donuts it’s the cheapest character to come with a building
Cons:
-He’s an iguana that will walk around your town, so if you’re not a fan of iguana’s maybe he’s not the best choice for you.
-90 donuts can be pricey to pay for a character with only 1 task.
-Buying him will make Selma happy, and maybe you don’t want to make Selma happy
Final Thought:
Personally, if you’re going to buy a premium animal I think Jub-Jub is the best one you can get. First, he comes with a building (that generates income and helps your consumerism rating), second he has his own task that generates income ($600/12hrs) and 3rd he interacts with a character. Those are 3 things not one of the other animals in the game can do and that ALONE is worth the investment. But if you’re short on donuts and looking for characters I would suggest going with SVT, Moleman or Bumblebee man first. However, if you already have those Jub-Jub isn’t a bad investment to make!

Jub-jub and the Pet shop are right now in the vault for 90 donoughts with a 25 donoughts rebate. So for net 65 donoughts you get a character (okay, in this case a lizard) and a building. INSTANT BUY!!!
After reading the comments, this was a no-brainer for me. Instead of “Should I Buy”, it should have been “What are you waiting for! Buy already!!!”
I got Jub-Jub and the pet shop in the vault today. I love that Mr. Teeny has an 8-hr task there and Stampy has a 4-hr task there. Now I need Sexy Pirate and The Parson to have 8-hr tasks and Fatov to have a 1-hr task not involving Homer, and I’ll be all set! I am a Freemium player and have spent a total of $5 on donuts in 4+ years playing the game. But I have enough bonuts saved up for occasions like these!
Same for me. Had been waiting ages for this, my vault updated yesterday(i’m in Australia, so our vault updates & daily tasks change at 6pm) but nothing exciting, then i updated the app just now & BOOM Up pops the pet shop & jub jub! i couldn’t click buy fast enough.
I am going to say this was an EA sucker buy for me. I got stampy and all he had was his 24 hour task to break everything in the Simpson house, and I couldn’t do much until I got the radio station. So I am like if I want to make money with stampy better shell out. In the end it was one of the best buys ever.
Confirmed. Jub jub has a full set of tasks. TSTO should revisit this as a must buy! Character building for 90 donuts with character interaction and tasks for Mr Teeny and Stampy = win.

Today I brought this pet shop thinking it will have a premium payout for Mr. Teeny and Stampy….(I rarely ever read the comments area of any area of any website.) I am not unhappy with the buy but I do believe that some of the older should I buys needs to be updated. Level is 35 is far away from 59…. But If you do have E/A Ear would you Please ask them to update the payout for Mr. Teeny and Stampy. Thank you so much for for the time you put in to this site and the Family Guy one as well.

When I first got the Pet Shop I was disappointed. The shop has a weird strip of grass out front that makes it not line up with my other store fronts, and then now I’ve got this big honking ugly iguana walking around my town. But then, I clicked on the task where Selma cuddles JubJub and I was like, “Awww…” He curls his little tail around her like he is a kitty and she tells him sweet things. It is freaking adorable! (So unlike the crazy cat lady who only throws (!) cats.) i just wish he had another short task for when Selma is busy.
I made it to “much ado about jub-jub” quest and jub-jub has disappeared!
Maybe a stupid question for more skilled players, but where did he go?

Did you check to see if Selma is holding him? Selma does have a “cuddle Jub-Jub” task that unlocks with “Much ado about Jub-Jub”, so it’s possible that task is what’s causing Jub to go missing. If that’s not it try storing the Springfield Pet Shop to your Inventory and then place it again (following the methods here). This will store Jub-Jub as well and when you place it back in Springfield Jub-Jub will appear in from of the Pet Shop. Hope that helps! 🙂
