Staying Obedient to EA: Breaking Down the Obedience Rating on the Conform-O-Meter

Obedience…a submission to another’s authority.  In TSTO public buildings all help contribute to your Conform-O-Meter Obedience rating.

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

So what items help your Obedience rating? There are actually quite a few. Let’s take a look at how you too can obey EA…

You can open up your Conform-O-Meter and check where you’re currently sitting with your Obedience rating by tapping the stars on the bottom left of your main screen, while you’re in Springfield (Krustyland has it’s own Krust-O-Meter which you can read about here). When you tap on the stars this is what opens up:
obedience

Your Obedience rating is impacted by the number of public budilngs your town has (or as TSTO says, ‘Buy public buildings to keep society docile.’). Like other ratings before it, most public buildings contribute a total of 10 points each to your Obedience rating.  However, unlike other areas there are a few decorations (premium and not) that also help raise your Obedience level.

So just how many points do you need to max out your Obedience Rating? Here’s a handy little guide to help you max out at any level:

Level Points
1 Thru 8 10
9 thru 10 40
11 70
12 thru 13 80
14 90
15 100
16 thru 19 110
20 thru 21 120
22 130
23 160
24 thru 27 180
28 thru 29 200
30 thru 31 210
32 220
33 230
34 250
35 thru 36 260
37 270
38 thru 41 290
42 thru 45 310

When it comes to buildings/items that help max out your Obedience rating for the most part they’re all worth 10 points, however there are a few exceptions to that rule.  We’ve noted the exceptions in the list below…

  1. According to the chart above I should have well over 310 points. Yet I only have a 1 star rating in obedience.
Any ideas why this might be?

  2. Potentially dumb question; there’s no asterisk next to the Lady Justice Statue in the chart above, but it appears that I can place multiples. Do I not get Obedience points for placing more than one Lady?

  3. I think it’s odd that the Duff Brewery contributes to Obedience…in my experience, breweries (or the products thereof) usually are more likely to contribute to DISobedience! 😉

  4. Any idea how much points the tied down blue and red nerds are worth?

  5. Any idea why the police station and penitentiary are only worth 1 point? Or was that a typo?

    • They contribute to both Obedience and Righteousness. So Obedience is only 1 point each for them, which Righteousness is 10 points each. 🙂

  6. Sigh…. looks like a “Stop Sign Maze” is in my future….

  7. When I first bought donuts I put down a couple of police cars, since then no trouble with obedience. And in my other game, I just plunked down lots of stop signs behind buildings. It is rather a pain though to move any of those buildings.

  8. Update is here!!!

    • Thanks! Was already on it and screenshotting (that’s a word right?) away til my lil tapping fingers were sore. Lol. It should all be there now in the post. Dialog and pics both. Completely updated. 🙂

      Happy Tapping
