I must confess I sat on my game and watched the last 5 million or so GOO that clicked off on the community pot. Life. Well. Spent.
SO AWESOME! As I already had a Lard Lad’s, I am even happier that we all got another (or your first) donut shop for Springfield!
There has been a lot of speculation about the community prizes but it seems like EA will give us one present with each goal met. This is basically what we all figured, especially considering the little arrow on the Community Prizes screen pointing to The First Church of Lard Lad.
The next goal is 10 BILLION GOO and the prize is the Clawing Zombie. Considering it only took 7 days to reach this mark, we should be good for all 5 prizes considering the event is 38 days long.

So many people didn’t finish the Whacking Day event without the extension. It seems they have made the prizes for this Halloween easily obtained by all, which is why they gave an extra set to work on.
I like the idea of it, but not that you can avoid the entire event and still jump in the last day and claim that awesome skyscraper.
Oh, and this day gets better and better – I’ve only got 20 GOO to go until I hit those first three donuts. 1980 GOO in one day – I’ve clearly mastered that double tap trick 😉
Woke up this morning to find I’ve got the First Church of Lard Lard, then collecting all my haunted buildings and ghosts tipped me over the 10,000 mark to get the Gingerbread House! It’s a good day so far and I haven’t even visited my neighbours yet! Off to tap furiously – I’m working on my first three bonus donuts now 🙂

They’ve knocked it out of the park. My only complaint would be the lack of trick-or-treating tasks for Ralph and the other new kids, not even so much to the get the GOO but to see their costumes, too. I could also live without worrying about the Homer/Lisa glitch, but since that was obviously not intentional, can’t blame them for that. Otherwise, amazing! Thank you EA 🙂
Has anyone found out if there is a little quest line associated with the building? All my characters are still on quests and I never “rush” them with donuts …

My counter was actually going real fast and then slowed down for the last 500,000… figured it was just more of EA’s sense of humor. I would laugh to find out it is just an in-game timer built into the files. Doesn’t matter to me as long as we get all the goodies lol.
doffy – try going to your Krustyland or tapping your friends’ screen and then go back into your town. It will re-sync with the EA server, and the number should update.
Yes but as players will reach their 10k target by next week, who will be tapping as hard?
I’m hoping every one since that’s the only way the can get these prizes. We shall see… I’m not giving up until I have another skyscraper in my town!
Mind you some item are still unlocked like the ghost bombs. That might play a part at some point
