  1. After some research online, other people seem to be having the same problem. The common denominator seems to be that if you’re in a friend’s Springfield when the reset happens, you won’t get the bonus. You have to achieve the bonus in your Springfield, which means going to a friend’s town, getting GOO, then just as you’re about to hit the bonus, go back home, tap ghosts there and you’ll be fine. I think they say its got something to do with the level 36 update, which sucks. I had the bonus pop up before when in a friend’s Springfield, but its only now that this glitch happens. And people have been contacting EA daily and they haven’t done anything so far.

What a shame. That’s 3 donuts I now can’t get, unless EA decides to reimburse me.

As for the counter being off, mine says 20,270 ish, whereas my Spooktacular bonus counter says I’ve got 233/2000. So its definitely off, but despite logging off, turning off my phone and logging back in, the bonus didn’t pop up. The counter reset, but no donuts.

    • Actually, issue has been ongoing since event started unfortunately. I was hoping a fix with level 36 but nothing. It is hard to remember to go back each time. My mind isn’t on that. Just in n out trying to hit each neighbor as fast as I can. Lol

I’ve called, emailed, online chatted, no result. So just doing what I can to remember.

  2. Thanks for all the work you guys do.

I didn’t know where to post this but I’m having an issue with Tapped Out. I just hit 20,000 GOO today and since every 2,000 gets you a Spooktacular Bonus, with a chance at 3 Donuts, I should have gotten one today. I was tapping in my friend’s Springfield and noticed I had hit the mark. I went back to my Springfield to get the Bonus. Instead, I saw the yellow finger pointing to the icon in the task bar to the side. I tapped on it and the counter had reset to 0/2000. However, I didn’t get the Bonus.

Are you only able to get the Bonus up to 20,000 GOO? That doesn’t make sense to me because the task and counter are still there, which would indicate that I can still do the quest and still get the Bonus. Except for some reason I didn’t. I tried doing a hard reset and logging in and out, visiting other Springfields and whatnot, and yet every time I went back home, no Bonus would pop up. Its pretty irritating, since the event ends soon and that’s 3 less possible donuts to get, and since I can’t afford buying them, the ones I have are pretty precious. Losing out on 3 sucks.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas how to fix this?

    • I covered this issue in a separate post. There is an in game glitch with the counter that EA has yet to resolve. You have to restart your Spooktacular Bonus every time from YOUR town. If you do not go to your town to set the counter, the Goo you collect will not count towards it. In other words, if you hit 2000 in a neighbor town and continue collecting an additional 150 Goo from neighbors before returning to your town, the 150 Goo will not count towards the bonus. It is getting tedious to have to watch your count and go back each time. Mine is off by about 300 now. So I am off. It may be the counter wasn’t reset properly and you’ve collected Goo without it counting. If you know you had hit the 2000 and the bonus didn’t pop up, try logging out…restarting your phone…and logging back in. See if that resolves it. If your Bonus boxes still are not popping up, you may want to contact EA to make them aware of the issue. They may have you uninstall and reinstall your game as standard troubleshooting. Hope that helps.

FYI…this works for some…if you do get the 3 box option…press and keep holding the center box for a while as the dots circulate around. Let go. If it works, you will get 3 donuts in the center box each time. Just one of those random glitches that some are able to get. 🙂
