Should I Spend Donuts on the Wailing Wall and Spooky Wall

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Wailing Wall to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this store to your Springfield.

Tapped_Out_Wailing_Wall
Decoration:
 Wailing Wall
Donut Price: 50 Donuts
Unique?: No

Pros:
-Another spooky looking decoration for your town.
-You can add as many as you want to your town.
-Animation of faces pressing out through the wall.
-Releases Ghosts. 6 ghosts every 12 hours.
-Limited-Time Decoration.  Would look really cool as something to compliment/decorate with alongside the other Halloween items you have acquired in your town.

Cons:
-You already got one for free if you logged into your account on 10/31/2013 (USA).
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield
-Once event is over, it will really only be a decoration (unless EA allows it to continue to generate in game cash).

Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one isn’t worth it for me. 50 donuts is a lot to spend on a simple single decoration wall. The 2D/3D artist in me sees the value of designing with it, but the donut hoarder in me sees it as a waste at the high cost. So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters/buildings or you’re a completest, I would really wait on this one and save your donuts to decide towards the end of the event if you really want it.

Next up…

Wondering if you should also add the Spooky Wall to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this store to your Springfield.

Tapped_Out_Spooky_Wall

Decoration: Spooky Wall
Donut Price: 1 Donut
Unique?: No

Pros:
-Adds 0.05% bonus money and XP to all jobs.
-Unique looking wall to decorate with.
-Least expensive decoration of those offered for the event.
-Limited-Time Decoration.

Cons:
-No animation
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield

Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, this one is a difficult choice. I do like the extra multiplier you get for each one. The 2D/3D artist in me sees the design value in it. But also knowing just how many pieces it does take to make an item, several will be required to accomplish the task. (I normally use between 50+ walls in my designs). So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters/buildings or you’re a completest, I would really wait on this one and save your donuts to decide towards the end of the event if you really want it. Then stockpile a ton if you do, especially if you plan on creating something cool with them.

  1. Hello, it’s been said that wailing wall increases all XP and cash by 2.25%, so that everybody tries to get as much as they can while it’s available to craft by zombie brains ☺️
Is that true? It’s written nowhere..

  2. I feel bad for thoughs that actualy bought it, because in 2015 its free (250 brains for wailing wall) and also for spooky wall (200 snake eggs)

  3. Nice job, Bunny — are you surprised, like me, that Gil Gunderson hasn’t shown his face this week?
Well, I initially bought one Wailer to generate ghosts, thinking our goals would be ridiculously difficult again (those WD snakes have scarred me for life!)
In hindsight, should’ve never used donuts for a decoration. Glad to have a second one for free… dig that animation: reminiscent of the endings of two great 80s movies, Poltergeist & Raiders of the Lost Ark!

    • Thanks heliox 🙂
I’m shocked no Gil or sales. Maybe cuz the freebies?

I had Whacking Day PTSD too. Thought for sure it would be difficult. Pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I hit the goal within a week. Then focused on here. Lol.

I also like the animation, but the cost…just too much. Which is why I’m fine with all the other free stuff. I’ve earned over 120 free donuts now during Halloween. I’m happy 🙂

  4. I say no to both.

My donuts are hard to come by and very precious !!
