Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Back with another Tappers 101 Class, this time we’re talking about what to do when see, every TSTO Addict’s nightmare, Bart pulling your game and the inability to connect to the servers. This is something that’s been popping up more and more lately with the introduction of the larger holiday updates, and way back when Addicts first started I covered this topic and some tips to help you manage if happens to you. Usually when you first see Bart appear panic sets in, and you start to think ‘Ahhh, What happened?’ ‘What did I do?’ ’What can I do?’ ’WHERE DID MY SPRINGFIELD GO?!’ ‘WHY YOU LITTLE…’
Well first of all…R-E-L-A-X. There’s nothing you can do. So, don’t panic. Just wait and be patient. It’s a problem with the servers, and they’ll come back up again they always do (usually within a couple of hours). And I promise you…your Springfield will still be there when they come back up. I know it’s hard for us Addicts, but TRY to find something else to do until the servers come back up.

From time to time Tappers new and old can get caught up in the game and forget some of the basics, that can cause a delay in your game. While we have a full New Tappers Guide on Addicts, sometimes you just want the information at your fingertips right away so you can get back to tapping as quickly as possible. Lately I have a really hard time getting into my game from my iPad, I get loads of Bart screens, and when I finally get in, it only lasts a rather short time, before the Bart screen appears again. I am also getting the “you have been logged out” message on a regular basis. Strangely enough, this doesn’t seem to be caused by actual Server outages, because at the same time I can log in via BlueStacks without any problems. Any tips what I can do?
Which generation of the iPad are you using? EA no longer offers support on the older generations and I often run into the same problems with mine (I have an original iPad). Try running through so of the usual troubleshoot methods first, hard close the game, uninstall and re-install the app on your iPad. If those don’t work you can check out this post here for another method to “kick-start” your iPad. Hope that helps! 🙂
Thanks for the help. Rebooting seems to help, right after it works ok for some time. I also removed stuff to free up some space. If all else fails I can always fall back on BlueStacks, I just don’t like playing with a mouse instead of tapping.
I’m sure you’ve tried closing all background iPad apps & restarting the iPad… usually works for me!
