Twas 3 weeks before Christmas and all through the blogs
Everyone was scurrying to cover their jobs
The stockings were hung by the myPads with care
In hopes that EA would drop donuts in there!
The Addicts were all rested all set to prepare
Tons of great posts for the readers with care!
With the Wookiee in the Attic and the Bunny in the basement
Christmas surly would be covered by their recent placement!
When down in the basement there arose such a clatter,
Alissa ran down the stairs to see what was the matter.
Away to the corner where Bunny was twitchy,
You see this holiday season she was feeling quite grinchy!
The moonlight shining through the windows that night,
Lit up the basement to reveal quite a sight!
Bunny had used all of her donuts for 2D art,
Quick we need to do something to warm her grinchy heart!
So Alissa called up to Wookiee, “we need to do something drastic”
Then Wookiee suggested “how about a contest, wouldn’t that’d be fantastic?”
A contest where Tappers can design their own art,
Might be just what we need to warm Bunny’s heart!
The prizes shall be donuts, so the task won’t seem like a chore!
We’ll give away Boats, Stores & Trucks full of donuts galore!
Bunny’s grinchyness has been lifted and replaced with some crazy,
Now I think it’s time to end this, the Tappers eyes are looking glazy!

Ahh Christmas time. Is there anything better than the smell of freshly cut Christmas Trees, Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, candy canes in hot chocolate and……another Addicts contest?
Another contest?! What? Already? Didn’t we just do this at Halloween?! Well Tappers, I think the Christmas spirit has taken us over here at Addicts, and we’ve lost our minds YET again! (actually did we ever get them back the first time?) We’re giving away $175 in FREE Donuts!!! We’ve really & completely lost our minds! So let’s talk about this Christmas Contest (before we change our minds)…..

Here’s the deal….
Once the Christmas update arrives pick one area of your town* and design it to the max with Christmas decorations (there is no limit to what you can do here, we want to see your cheesiest, brightest, craziest Christmas display. 2D, 3D, premium or not just make your town look awesome). Make it look like the North Pole exploded on Springfield! Then…send us your screen shots (post them in the comment section below). Best designed town, as picked by the fans, will be crowned our ultimate Homer Griswold!
*The “area of your town” does not have to be your entire town. It can be a section (like a neighborhood, the woods, squidport etc) or it can just be a building. Of course if you want to submit your entire town that’s cool too, just remember whatever you submit will be judged.
Here’s how you win….
All designs must be submitted by 11:59pm on December 17th, 2013. The TSTO Addicts team will go through all entries and pick the top 10 that we think are the absolute best designs. We will post the top 10 on our website the next morning (sound similar to Halloween?), and then open it up to the readers of TSTOAddicts.com to vote on which one they like the best. Voting will open once they are posted and voting will close by December 21st 2013 at 11:59pm. The top 3 vote getters will be our big winners. Winners will be announced on December 23rd, 2013.

-3rd Place- A truckload of 300 Donuts (in the form of a $20 iTunes or Google Play Gift Card)
-2nd Place- A Store Full of 900 Donuts (in the form of a $50 iTunes or Google Play Gift Card)

Valid email address must be provided when submitting an entry, this will be how we will contact you to let you know you’re one of the top. (email address provided in the comment form, they are not published on the blog and only viewable by the Addicts staff.)
Unfortunately, because of the nature of the Gift Cards this contest is only open to Tappers in the US 18 and older.

You must let us know within 1 week of winning which platform (iOS or Android) you’d prefer the GC on.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas with those special movies, so I did something a little different and created a Movie set back lot. They are currently filming ‘The Simpsons: Miracle on 34th Street’.

Merry Christmas I hope you can see my Springfield. I caught an Abominal Snow Monster bar hopping…I have almost every christmas light skin as well. Out of the shot is Merry in nut crackers and the C in Christmas.

I designed the Christmas section of my town to mirror Rockefeller Center as much as possible. I couldn’t figure out how to make an outdoor skating rink that looked good. So I used the new indoor skating rink surrounded the square with stores that would belong in a downtown upscale shopping district, and used the Claus Co. skyscraper, and Channel 6 (which would be NBC in the real Rockefeller Center). Hope everyone enjoys it. Merry Christmas!!!!

How do I save a screenshot of my city?
Once you take a screenshot with your device, it should be in your photos. What type of device do you use? On an iphone, you take one by pressing the menu and power button simultaneously.
Usually it auto saves on your phone or device, check your gallery to see if it’s there. Check out this post for more 🙂
Okay, I got a screen shot. It is a HP slate 7 tablet, by the way.
Now, how do I submit it?

Why is it that the contest ended so early? Is there any way to do a contest that has a better use of all of the components of christmas. I have been working on my ville and I have premium items mixed with the giveaways upto santas chair. I propose a new contest for everyone until Christmas morning. What do you say? Are you the person to get in contact with?

We closed the contest after 1 week so that there would be plenty of time for voting and the winners would be awarded their gift cards before Christmas Day (and the Gil Deal). We wanted to make sure we gave the winners time to use their Gift Cards to purchase holiday premium items.
This was the second contest we ran (the other was a Halloween 2D contest) and we WILL however be offering more contests in the future.
Unfortunately, at this point the contest has been closed and so has the voting. The winners will actually be announced shortly.
