-Gift Cards are the new “currency” in the game (they replace GOO).

In This is my first Simpsons Christmas. Can you tell me how to add lights to my houses?
You need to collect gold coins. They are generated every 24 hrs by the egg nog bar. Once you get cold coins, you get to spin the holiday giveaway wheel. You win house and building lights from there. Does that answer your question?

What was the farm and channel 6 glitch?
It was a tapping glitch where you can earn more xp and cash on tasks. Check out this post for more. 🙂

can someone help? on the task it says ‘have types of decorated houses but I don’t get what it means it say I have 8/10? but it’s not the decorations on the houses?
Are you referring to putting up the actual Festive Decorations task (like the lamps, nutcracker, angel, etc)? Or are you referring to the several houses around town that you need to “put up lights” on?
One more change, the clean up Springfield task, new waste/rubbish doesn’t appear when you enter the town like it used to
before this update I was gonna spend my 90+ donuts on two warheads which at 45 donuts each would net me 4.5% on all cash & XP. but glad I waited.
the jet engine bike is only 30 donuts and gives you a whopping 2% per bike. So I bought 3 bikes and netted 6% instead of 4.5!!
Other premium items for 30 donuts only give you .75% on all cash & XP!!
TOTALLY worth the purchase.

Wowza… iPhone’s were the first to get the update in the app store. I’d do a refresh of that and then if it doesn’t work maybe hard reset the device. Good luck!
Another addition I noticed that I haven’t seen mention of yet: Now when you send your characters off on jobs, once you’ve sent a character off, the next one you tap will have their menu default a job of the same time length to the top. So if you send one character on a 12hr task, the next one you tap will already have their menu scrolled down to their 12hr task if they have one. Pretty neat.
Hadn’t noticed that one yet. Almost seems too good to be true.
I don’t see this Holiday Tree premium item anywhere. Am I the only one who can’t find it?
It should be in the Holiday menu of event items.
I figured it out. It doesn’t show up in your menu until you unlock the one for collecting 1500 gift cards.

Atanyx: It is essential to know, that the button only shows up, when one of ur characters ain’t having a task. (just saying this, as some ppl send their characters to longer tasks and u might be one of them?)

A poster on one of the forums tried out the SP tile glitch by speeding up his tile construction with donuts and then visiting his town from two of his feeder towns. He said he was able to collect two handshakes on the tile so it looks like the glitch is still there. It seems that the update just erased any completed tiles, Channel 6 programming, farm crops or stage acts, but you can restart them and start collecting handshakes again. Too bad for those that had completed corn sitting on the field get erased…
I have friends who seem to still be able to collect tiles through the double handshake. However, there’s a max limit of tiles you are supposed to be able to get. And those of us that reached that (or surpassed it) during this glitch can no longer start a new one. Which is probably fine, because I was actually running out of room of places to put them!
Yah…it works off n on for some. It was a great glitch.
The Character Finder also seems to scroll automatically to your favorite task for the char. When I tapped through, the characters’ task list started with 60mins which is what I use most of the time.

HELP!!! What are the 10 different houses that you need to decorate for the first task?? I can only find 9 and I have all the types of houses you could have so which is the 10th? Any advice?
they fixed the glitch? arghhh was 7 days awy from corn “Real Corn”…lol oh well i di manage to acrue 267 sp tiles…happy holidays to you all!!
Loving the update!!! But quick question…I had a task prompted to have ten decorated houses, which as I was playing last year was completed right away. But my other half, who started playing during WD, has not had this prompted? Any ideas? All my characters were busy at the time of prompting too. Can anyone help? He really wants the decorated houses!! Hehe 🙂

New feature: When tapping on friends towns, there are arrows on the bottom left to navigate through friends without having to go back a screen. Huge time saver.
yepp, this should be rlly mentioned in the text above! saves ten minutes of the day which could be spent on decorating springfield.

A boardwalk tile I had purchased glitch-free is gone! Any suggestions? They take forever and cost a fortune, and it’s just gone!
My tile went away too. I think it is due to the glitch we were promoting to use up. They fixed it and with it cleared out any and all tiles sitting on the boardwalk 🙁
If you had one free and clear, you can try contacting EA to see if they will help you in getting that lost income back.
By the way, when visiting neighboreenos, if you hear the Gremlin sound that means they have a Tile waiting for you. I have collected about 3000 experience since the update!
I think one of my favorites is the arrow to visit neighbors!!!
