so it’s kind o disappointing that the promise of double gift cards didn’t make good for my game yesterday… but now my card counter has decided not to track and give me tokens. GAH. I still need Clausco. I feel Grumpley rage
I have been hearing reports off and on that the issue of coins is spreading. My suggestion is to keep in touch with EA to let them know how far it has spread.

I contacted EA Help via chat; the advisor was courteous but had to transfer me to a different help team for the Spin Token pay out glitch, and then had to tell me that the appropriate department was on holiday and the email team would contact me as soon as possible. Will follow up here with whatever email I eventually get from EA… ~to be continued~
Bah Humbug…
I, like quite a few others I’ve found, are not getting any more spin tokens. It’s been about 6,000 gift cards since I got a spin, about 3 days (I think?)
I did send a letter to EA and got a fairly canned response, but at least I know they’re aware of it. But it especially sucks today.
Many people (on the EA forums) have said they aren’t visiting neighbors, but I told them they really should. We are still getting the currency even if it’s useless atm (they might regret that later!) plus if they stop dropping gifts in neighbors towns, it’ll slow down the community prize! AHH!
Anyway, I thought I’d post the response I got here, in case anyone else is in the same boat as I am. (hi! there’s baileys in the cooler 🙂

Update.
I’m not getting double currency either. To say I’m bummed out or let down is …well, a huge understatement. 🙁
I’m really starting to think EA’s version of “event currency” is just gift bags. It’s all I’m seeing double of.
Double currency is only for presents, I am finding that my small presents have anywhere from 4-6 GC and my large presents have anywhere from 6-12, about double the usual amount. Tasks are not affected and multipliers don’t affect GCs
I was wanting a reindeer but didn’t want to spend donuts. Now I have a reindeer of my very own! Currently he’s hanging out by the Buddhist temple. Yay! Merry Christmas!!

I got my free reindeer and a notification about the double gift cards, but I’m not getting double gift cards? Same as always .. doesn’t matter too much as I’ve got all my personal prizes and most of what I what from the spin wheel but I really want the snow monster so was hoping to get as many spin coins as poss today!

No info on double coins. Just the gifts. I’ve gotten double gift bags from my town and neighbors.
Thats what I mean – I was going to collect as many gifts and go on all my towns to get the spin coins for every 1000. So as I have 100 friends I was hoping that would = 6000 giftcards instead of the normal 3000 from neighbours – but still the same as before. On my own town and other peoples 🙁
Visiting neighbors doesn’t give you double gift card reward :/
