Tapped Out on Christmas: What to Tap Now? Neighbor-eeno Guidance

Hey Howdy Hey New Year Tappers!

How’s 2014 treating you so far?  Sticking to those resolutions…2 days in?  🙂

I’ve been noticing more and more in the comments many tappers asking what’s next?  You’ve completed the Gift Card prizes (although if you haven’t…don’t panic you still have plenty of time…until next Tuesday to be exact), won all of the wheel prizes (again if you haven’t don’t panic…or feel one of the F words…you still have plenty of time) and you have no clue what to do until the next update.

Should you still be tapping Neighbor-eeno’s houses with Gift Cards?  Should you still be dropping gift bags?  Should you still be tapping your own presents?  Well over the next couple of days we’re going to take a look at things you can do to prevent yourself from becoming Tapped Out on Christmas and still keep your head in the game.

Today’s tip?  Some Neighbor-eeeno Guidance.  Let’s take a look at some ways you can help your friends and neighbors and prevent the Christmas Burn Out…

Should I Still Be Dropping Gift Bags?
Absolutely!  As of this writing we’re about 65 million Gift Bags away from collecting our FINAL Community Prize…The Candy Cooling Towers.  So keep collecting AND dropping those Gift Bags to your neighbors.  And try to pay attention to your neighbor’s Gift Card Counters.  Try to drop the max of 5 bags off in towns of neighbors who haven’t yet reached the magical 30,000 Gift Card total.  Help them reach their personal goals!
Have all of your neighbors completed the personal goal?  Then make a game of it and drop gift bags in your friends towns in the strangest places (my favorite spots are the water..and the Calmwood Metal Hospital.  I like to think I’m dropping presents off for Bunny!).  Have fun and be creative with it.  Only 65 million more to go so have a little fun!

I’ve completed my Gift Card Goals, what should I tap on when I visit Neighbor-eenos?
Well, try going back to basics.  Check out this post for what’s the best to tap on for your Neighbors and yourself and decide if you’re a Flanders or a Simpson!
You could also go back to the Squidport Tile Tapping Glitch (and Channel 6).  I know we reported when the update first hit that it looked as though the Glitch had been removed…however many Tappers have been reporting that, while initially the glitch stopped working, it’s now working again.  So feel free to tap away on their Squidport Tiles and Channel 6 tasks!

Need a Tile tapping glitch refresher?  Here’s the run down:
Methods for both Squidport and Channel 6:
1)      When your Squidport tile is ready… do not tap it.  Leave it be.
2)      When your friends visit your town, they will see the tile floating and be able to tap it for a nice XP bonus.
3)      In your game… you will see multiple handshakes floating above your SqP Entrance.
4)      Carefully tap one handshake at a time allowing the tile, cash and XP to be collected by the game for each one.  IMPORTANT: Ensure you leave at least one handshake floating to keep going.  Two can sometimes look like one so it is a good idea to zoom in on the entrance to distinguish how many you have.
5)      Once your done, go back to your neighbor-eenos and see if they have any tiles you can tap.
If you give a neighbor a tile, you will not be able to give them another until the first one is collected.  If you have a good line of communication with a friend though, it is possible to give each other 3 tiles in one day.  If you don’t care, tap one.  You can also tap the tile, leave their town and then re-enter for another big XP tap but this only helps you.

What to know what to leave for your neighbor-eenos to tap on?  Here’s some basics: 

-For Squidport make the tile as normal and again let it be so neighbors can tap away for you!
Remember when you go back into your Springfield be careful to tap each handshake carefully.  And don’t clear them away until you’re happy with the number of handshakes over your task.

-For Channel 6 (if you have him) setup the Arnie Pye 2 day News Report and let it be so neighbors can tap away. (if you don’t have Arnie Pye, go with the 24hr task) 

So Tappers…I hope that covers some things for you to keep from getting Tapped Out and helping your Neighbor-eenos in the process!

Remember….TSTO is a game and games are supposed to be fun!  So have a little fun with Springfield…and if you need to take out some aggression remember you can always Spray Paint in your neighbor’s town a little!
