With such a great community of Tappers here at Addicts (and we LOVE our fellow Addict Tappers!) we’re rolling out another new feature. Our weekly Sunday Night Open Threads!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. There’s no new episode of the Simpsons on tonight. Instead FOX in the US will be showing the NFL NFC Championship Game between the 49ers and Seahawks (where the winner goes to the Superbowl and plays against the Denver Broncos). So talk about that game, last week’s Simpsons Episode, being annoyed that football is preventing a new episode this week, Level 38 or anything else right here!

No real idea on V-Day just yet (nothing is in the files). BUT if I had to guess I’d say sometime between 1/28 and 1/30 it should hit our games. Just keep in mind…that’s just a guess. 🙂

My town is gone. I am/was on level 38, now I’m back at the level 1. Is anyone else having this problem? I logged off and back in to see If it would reset, with no luck. I refuse to start over. Any help will be appreciated.
Oh no! We’ve actually (unfortunately) been hearing this a lot with the new update. EA is aware of the issue. Check out this post to find out some troubleshoot methods.

Last year Whacking Day ran from 4/10- 5/16 (a social event, much like Halloween & Christmas). But in Springfield Whacking Day is May 10th. 🙂

I’m rooting for the Seahawks, because I don’t like the Niners. It seems I spend more time with sports these days rooting against teams I don’t like than rooting for my teams (because my teams are usually out of it early). Does anyone else wish EA would just do away with random tasks? It might be my OCD that just hates seeing tasks piling up on the left of the screen, but really, what’s the point of these completely arbitrary tasks popping up? Plus, they always seem to get more frequent whenever there is a level update or a seasonal event going on, so they end up messing up the storyline progress when you have a character doing them and you need them for a main task.
The random tasks drive me crazy too! I think it’s EA’s way of keeping you involved in the game daily when there is nothing going on. But I have noticed that right before an update the random tasks seem to pop up more frequently. Cause for massive frustration when a character needed to start an update is off on a random task!
This is EA messing with us, random tasks to divert us from updates, I actually like this and think its an example of their humour.
By the way this is Monday morning for us so grumpy old git mode as I head to the morning traffic. O:-)
any ideas on when VD starts or perhaps if Gil will make another appearance?
Gil just left right before the New Year. We may see him again around Whacking Day, but I don’t think it will be before then. As of now there’s nothing showing in the files for Gil.
As far as Valentine’s Day is concerned, right now nothing is showing up in the files BUT if EA is following their model of an update every other week (which is how it was before Halloween) I think it’s possible we will see Valentine’s Day between January 28th and 30th. But that’s just a guess on my part. 🙂

I’m rather ambivalent about it, no teams I support are in it. So I guess go Seattle. More importantly, oh how I wish that things could rotate 360 on TSTO! I often wonder what hiding on the backs of building.
