The Real Housewives Of Springfield: Lindsey Naegle

Welcome Addicts to a new addition to our posts. In this little game of ours, we tend to forget those characters that are few and far between. We get so involved in the game, so into the latest events…that we sometimes forget to pay attention to the little things. The little details that make the Springfield world go around. The thing that seems to be really lacking/missing from Springfield.

What exactly is it I am going on about? What is so terribly important to the game that would draw such attention. WOMEN OF COURSE! To be a bit more specific, The Real Housewives of Springfield (and maybe a mistress or 3. Gotta have the drama aspect in any series, right?).

So keep your eyes on our blog as we take you on a new journey into the lives of each of the women currently and NOT currently available in the game.

This week I will be covering a character I would like to actually see in the game…as a character…not just an image on the Level 38 pop up. The woman in question is none other than Lindsey Naegle (sometimes spelled Lindsay).

She has been around the Simpsons TV series for a VERY long time now. She has held several jobs around town. Everything from a network executive, marketing researcher, financial planner, public relations consultant, venture capitalist, advertising executive, cell phone company executive, insurance salesperson, and executive with the Child Development Group. She has appeared so many times, there was even a jab made at her in “Blame It On Lisa” by Marge. “We’ve met you many times Ms. Naegle…why do you keep changing jobs?” Her reply, “I’m a sexual predator.” Interesting. o.O

So let’s take a deeper look into her history in the TV Series and see just why she would make a great candidate as a new female character in our game. (HINT HINT HINT EA)

Season 8, Episode 14: The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show
Itchy & Scratchy were failing to capture an audience anymore, so the creator sets out to see what he can do to fix it. He brings his ideas back to the board room. This is the first time we see Lindsey as a BROWN haired Female Network Executive sitting at the table.

Lindsey Naegle 1

She showed from that start point that she was a take charge kind of gal. Not afraid to speak her mind in a room full of men. She tells them all just how she wants the new dog character (Poochie) to be in the Itchy & Scratchy episodes.

Lindsey Naegle 2

Season 9, Episode 21: Girly Edition
Lindsey tells Krusty the FCC feels the kids aren’t learning anything from Itchy & Scratchy. (Hey, she is still a Brunette.)

Lindsey Naegle 7

She suggests Channel 6 launches a news show called ‘Kidz Newz”.

Lindsey Naegle 8

He is not to happy as it will cut 10 minutes off of his show. Lisa of course is made an anchor, With Bart in charge of Sports. But Bart shows her up and is promoted to co-anchor. He has “Zazz, Zing, Zork, and Kapowza!” Lisa tells Lindsey that Bart can’t be an anchor…he is too dumb. Bart over hears it and is upset. He goes out of his way to make an amazing story. Lindsey is touched by it, she would cry…but she can’t…botched face lift.

Lindsey Naegle 9

Season 10, Episode 22: They Save Lisa’s Brain
The town has come out for a “How low will you go?” contest. They all make complete fools out of themselves. Wolfcastle declares himself the winner for putting up with them. All out riot ensues. Lisa is NOT happy. She writes a letter to the townspeople. Complaining of how they need to better themselves. She sends the letter to the newspaper. She later receives a paper airplane response to go to 13 Euclid Street (with a dessert).

Lindsey Naegle 10

She quickly realizes it is the headquarters of the Springfield Mensa Society. Here we finally learn Lindsey Naegle’s name as she is introduces herself to Lisa (and she is now Blonde).

Lindsey Naegle 11

She also points out she is the head of Advanced Capital Ventures. After some mix up with the park gazebos, they form together to go after the Mayor.

Lindsey Naegle 12

He skips town, leaving the Mensa group in charge to run Springfield. They end up fighting with each other over who is right. They initiate some pretty ridiculous methods and laws.

Season 13, Episode 15: Blame it on Lisa
Marge and Homer go to the Phone company (formerly Comquaqq, now Zovuvazz) to dispute charges for a very large bill resulting from a phone call to Brazil. (Lisa made a call to Brazil, to no one’s knowledge. She was trying to find an orphan boy she was sponsoring there.) Their customer service rep just so happens to be Lindsey Naegle.  Homer said he refuses to pay the bill. So she shuts off their services.

Lindsey Naegle 13

Season 14, Episode 4: Large Marge
While painting with Lisa on a Habitat for Humanity project, Homer takes off his wedding ring to keep it from getting paint on it.

Lindsey Naegle 14

Lisa points out it is just bandaids wrapped in foil. Homer states it is in a turtle. Just then Lindsey Naegle and Cookie Kwan pull up to the work site. They are looking for husbands.

Lindsey Naegle 15

They see Homer and the wedding ring tan line and assume he is new on the market, so they begin flirting with Homer. Marge just happens to be driving by and mistakes Homer’s innocent story telling of the birth of Bart for flirting back.

Lindsey Naegle 16

This episode turns amusing as Marge, attempting to impress Homer, gets liposuction…or so she thinks. There is a mix up and she instead gets the breast implants intended for Quimby’s interns.

Lindsey Naegle 17

Season 15, Episode 8: Marge vs Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens and Gays.
Maggie is introduced to a kids show, Roofi. She becomes obsessed. Driving the rest of the family nuts. After seeing a promo by Roofi that there will be a concert, Marge gets tickets and brings Maggie to his concert. It’s oversold. The episode takes a twist as the concert turns  Woodstockesque.  A rainstorm turns the concert into a disaster of crying and hysterical babies. A riot ensues and the babies go mad. A town meeting is called to deal with the situation. The Babies caused 1 million dollars in damages. Having enough of dealing with kids, Lindsey starts the local chapter of SSCCATAGAPP (Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples And Teens And Gays Against Parasitic Parents).

Lindsey Naegle 19

Lindsey Naegle 18

She wants to be able to drink, swear, and act however she wants without fear of offending someone. She wants nudity and “F” words on TV. So she sets out to rid the town of all things children.

Lindsey Naegle 20

Marge confronts her in the parking garage. Trying to reason with her. Introducing her to Lisa (apparently she’s already forgotten her from Mensa).

Lindsey Naegle 21

Lindsey just keeps poking fun at her. So Marge fires back, with a voter sponsored initiative. Lindsey is later seen on a date with Sideshow Mel. (Love interest?)

Lindsey Naegle 23

Marge is losing hopes that she can win, so Bart & Lisa hatch a plan to help. The kids give hugs to all the adults, passing germs, making them sick with “child germs” so they can’t make it to vote. Marge’s initiative passes.

Lindsey Naegle 24

Season 18, Episode 22: You Kent Always Say What You Want
Homer is on Smartline with Kent Brockman talking about the ice cream cone he just bought. He spills Brockman’s coffee on his lap, causing Brockman to swear on air. Brockman assumes no one caught it, but nosey Flanders with his VHS tapes did. He fires up other Christians to revolt. The FCC steps in with a 10 million dollar fine and Brockman is demoted to Weatherman. All the shows on Channel 6 are having to cut back. Including Krusty. Lindsay approaches Kent in the hall. He asks if he is fired, she told him that the station stands by its reporters. Then asks if the powder in his coffee is cocaine (“kah- cane”). He states it is Splenda. She promptly fires him.

Lindsey Naegle 25

Brockman then turns to the web, thanks to Lisa’s help, and points out the FCC is just funneling money to the Republican Party. Cut to the Republican Party Headquarters. Lindsey is there next to Krusty…quite fondly touching and looking at him. (Another love interest?) Even Wolfcastle thinks something is going on with them.

Lindsey Naegle 26

Season 19, Episode 4: I Don’t Wanna Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
Homer is patiently waiting at the school for Lisa’s Student of the Millenium Award. Marge is stuck at the Bank of Springfield. Who just happens to be in line right next to Krusty?

Lindsey Naegle 28

Marge is getting annoyed at the wait. She starts a conversation up with the man in front of her. He just so happens to be there to rob the bank. She calls Homer in a panic. She tells him she is a hostage, and if she doesn’t make it…he can marry anyone on the bulletin board in the closet. Guess who’s name is top of the list? Lol

Lindsey Naegle 29

Season 20, Episode 4: Treehouse of Horror XIX
During the start of the minisode “How To Get Ahead In Dead-Vertizing”, do you notice a familiar face on one of the buildings in the background?

Lindsey Naegle 27

Season 20, Episode 11: How the Test Was Won
It is the start of school season. Marge notices the Insurance bill is due and gives it to Homer to make sure it gets paid. (BIG MISTAKE! This is Homer we are talking about.) He loves his insurance, he gets hurt…he gets paid. Boy does he get paid a lot. 2 weeks later, Homer gets a lil hungry and checks the “pantry” aka glove box…guess what is still sitting there…unpaid?

Lindsey Naegle 3

He realizes that he forgot to pay it as he is entering the Power Plant for work and flips out. He doesn’t want to be financially responsible for his “accidents”. He tries to drop off the payment at the insurance company, but they are gone til 3pm. So he goes home. Marge is there with the book club and asks Homer to help host it.

Lindsey Naegle 4

He is daydreaming of all the horrible things that could go wrong with the ladies…

Lindsey Naegle 5

…then in typical guy fashion…he “daydreams” Marge and Lindsey making out. “WOOHOO!”

Lindsey Naegle 6

Have her join the rest of the Mensa group already meeting at the gazebo. Work at Channel 6. Work at Krustylu Studios. Just so many possibilities.

Do you remember seeing her in any of the episodes I listed? Have a favorite moment I didn’t share? Let me know what YOUR thoughts are.

Until the next time…
