Valentine’s Day has arrived in Springfield! But, with all of the new Valentine’s premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Brandine to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this Spuckler to your Springfield.
Character: Brandine Spuckler (and Birthday, Dubya & Whitney Spuckler)
Donut Price: 100 donuts
Pros:
-Premium Character Earns 50% cash and XP on all jobs
-Another Female Character for Springfield (Finally!)
-After you’ve completed the main quest she unlocks a special task that births 3 Spuckler kids.
-Birthing Spuckler kids task earns a lot of cash and xp.
-Spuckler kids will earn you additional money
-Humorous outdoor tasks
Cons:
-Expensive. At 100 donuts she’s one of the most expensive premium characters in the game, with out a building.
-Not voiced
-It takes 90 days to birth a Spuckler, or 30 donuts to speed up.
-Spuckler kids do not have any tasks, but they do earn income (similar to Krustyland).
-After the initial quest-line she no longer has interaction with any characters in the game.
Final Thought:
Personally this one is a toss-up in my opinion, but I do intend to purchase her in my town. I LOVE the fact that EA finally introduced another Housewife to Springfield (are they reading our Sunday posts?!) but at 100 donuts she is a bit pricey. Although she does come with the ability to add 3 new characters to your game, but it takes 90 days for each one (9 months for all 3) AND they don’t come with their own set of tasks (although they will earn you additional income via pick-pocketing). So I think this one comes down to how bad you want Brandine & what your donut budget is.
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME character and once it’s gone, it’s gone…so be sure to get it before the event is over if you’re thinking about it.

How the Spuckler Kids Earn Money:
Whitney, Dubya & Birthday Spuckler all generate additional income in your town (they have a knock of nicking). They generate income throughout the day and the longer you let them earn the more they’ll earn (like tickets from visitors in Krustyland). Here’s the payout:
At 4hrs: They’ll Earn $100
At 8hrs: They’ll Earn $200
At 12hrs: They’ll Earn $300
At 16hrs: They’ll Earn $400
At 20hrs: They’ll Earn $500
So as you can see the longer you let them go, the more they’ll earn!

Long time wanted character, just purchased her 🙂 Just a quick note to add that she also helps with the monorail. She has tasks for 75 trash / 30s and 15 metal / 1h.
Nice. She sounds like an all around good character to purchase. I’m at 90 donuts and am getting her ASAP for her 100 donut price during this Country Fair event
I got her and she is one of my favorite characters already. Very funny dialogue I think with her quest. She is awesome with her metal and garbage earning, but also has an awesome animated task where she defends Springfield in full camo like Arnold and gives birth to multiple Spucklers. I can’t wait for them and am happy I have started the birthing process now. No regrets with this purchase, even at the full 100 donut price I paid.
No bad, picked up Molloy yesterday with rebate, and today got Mary Spuckler, Amber Dempsy, Luke Stetson and Brandine. Happy birthday to me. Balance 2 donuts. Time to get back to farming. Florence of Arabia remains in my Vault for a rebate.
How do I find my spuckler kid to collect their money? I tried the town hall, but they’re not on the list. Is it just good luck to stumble on them like my leprechauns?
You’ll see money hovering above them when they’re ready for collection.
So then how do we send them on missions for a certain# of hours or whatever?
so the first major event I got to do was the around the world event I got hooked on this game just as the winter event was out the door. I have got to say that Brandine is for some strange reason one of my top 10 persons in the Simpsons, and when I build the farm I ran around to find out if you could get Brandine in the game, and was a bit upset when I found out I may never see her. Then she came out in the love gift box and the EA gods smiled on me as I got her on my 1st try. I am happy to say that in 3 days she will give birth to her first Spuckler. Dear God 90 days takes forever thank goodness she was not needed for any of these events lol. I am wondering if I should go for Spuckler 2 and 3.
Just got her from the Valentine’s day mystery box and I do not regret it! In the end, it’s like having 4 20-donut characters!

Regarding the kids (I love your description of them as “moving buildings” by the way Melissa 😂): they earn $100/4hrs. So it doesn’t matter whether you tap them every 4 hours or every 20 hours right? The payout is the same. But when I tap on them when they’re in the middle of gathering their well-deserved pickpocket cash, eg. 2 hours after I’ve collected cash from them, they do a little funny animation. Does this also somehow reset the 4 hour earnings? I was thinking maybe part of their earning is to avoid tapping them accidentally or something…
I didn’t start playing until Halloween of 2014. Is it to late for me to get Brandon’s?

I like the whole pregnancy idea but it’s a long wait. And alot of donuts….
When it comes to spending donuts I always have doubts 🙂 should I stick with building and character combo’s? I’m mostly a freemium player but have made a few purchases and just not so good at decision making lol.
I just rushed Brandine’s second Birth a Spuckler task for 7 donuts to get her involved ed in the monorail madness. Unfortunately, the quest task cleared and Brandine was available for new tasks, but no Dubya. I’ve looked all over my town and checked my inventory, but nothing. I even stored Whitney to make sure I was looking in the right place in inventory, but tree she was the only Spuckler sitting there. Do I need to contact EA to find my lost Spuckler kid?
Yup. They won’t be able to restore it for you, but they can refund the donuts.
Do you know why the Spuckler kid can’t be restored now please?

😱 This happened to me, too, on Tuesday. Brandine was so close to delivering Birthday that I decided to spend 10 donuts to speed things along for Monorail stuff. I only noticed last night, when I wanted to get the 10-hr. “Carry a food baby” quest/task going.
Sad to lose 70+ days of gestation (I’d really love to have the kid), but I will hold out hope that EA will make their error right somehow.👀

Secondly–Is Brandine’s 90 day “pregnancy” outdoors? Like maybe she waddles around all preggers, (which would be soooo cool!) ? Or does she just disappear for 3 months (not so cool) 🙁

The Spuckler kids don’t have /regular/ tasks, but can they be sent on special “event” tasks? Like during one of the events when you could make a lot of event currency off of kids, were the Spuckler kids available for that?
Nope they’re basically like moving buildings. They’ll earn you money after a certain amount of time…but they don’t participate in any events.
I cant find where to purchase Brandine and I’ve looked everywhere! Help, thanks! 😆 😀 😀 😀
Go into your menu, into the extended options (swipe the arrow to the right to open ALL the Menu tabs), then tap to look in either the Characters or Homer Buddha (premium) section.
