President’s Day has arrived in Springfield! But, that are limited-time label it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. . But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Honest Abe to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this President to your Springfield.
Character/Building: Abe Lincoln and his Log Cabin
Donut Price: 150 Donuts
Dimensions: 4×7
Payout: $200/22xp every 8hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Indolence +10
Pros:
-Premium character, earns 50% more cash and xp on all tasks
-Neat looking log cabin, nicely fits in any woodsy areas of your Springfield.
-Building is animated, smoke comes out of the chimney.
-Great outside tasks, including splitting rails & walking around Springfield looking like a tourist in Disney World.
-Comes with his own questline
-Originally introduced as part of the 4th of July Event then gone from the game. So they brought back another Limited-Time Character.
-It’s Abe Lincoln!
Cons:
-At 150 donuts he’s quite the expensive purchase
-Not voiced, aside from a few groans
-After initial questline he has no interaction with any other characters
-A bit of a random character to be dropped in Springfield
Final Thought:
I am in the must buy camp on Lincoln. He’s one of my favorite characters and I snatched him up back in July when he made his first appearance. His cabin is a nice addition to my woodsy area (with my Brown Houses, Kamp Krusy & Fort Sensible) and you can often find him splitting rails back there in my Springfield. It’s just such a unique character to add to Springfield. Plus every time I have him “Attempt to Blend In” I imagine him wondering around Disney World as a cheesy tourist. Thus it combines my two favorite things…TSTO & Disney 🙂
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME character and once he’s gone, he’s gone…so be sure to get him before February 18th if you’re thinking about making that purchase!

I really want him too, but cannot spend the $$$ on the donuts… I am kinda sad now that I read the post cause he sounds really neat. My mom keeps telling me that something better will come along, but he is SO cool.
I used real money on the scratch-rs I won the jack pot twice that’s 200 donuts with just 2 dollars of real money I only buy them when I have a few bucks to spare

I had a few donuts saved up from the iTunes gift cards I got at Christmas time with the Gil deal. Then I played the scratcher a few times and woohoo! I got Abe! Time to start rearranging some stuff. I still want Shauna and the Up Up and Buffet. When is the VD event over? My bday is this week and maybe I’ll get more gift cards!

I got him last time. I was really hoping for the waterfall keeping fingers crossed that it will return. Abe is so awesome, wouldn’t mind Teddy Roosevelt so Bart and the gang could form the Brotherhood of the Spectacles
I would love a few more “old timers” too.
I bought Abe last year and he has brought much joy to my town. The story line in his quests is also pretty fantastic.

Ahh! I can’t get to the bank until the 18th, they’re closed today and tomorrow. Will it still be available ON the 18th or end at midnight on the 17th? I want Abe ! He was on sale the day I started playing, that was the first notification I saw. Darnit, why does it always seem my account is empty when things like this pop up, I spent all me sweets on S.A.D.! Oh and I adopted a cat, to make me less SAD. lol
It cost me 100$ to adopt a homeless 3 yr old cat, but hes had his shots, fixed, micro-chipped…etc… So well worth it. 🙂 His name is Fezzik.
So…, 18th still able to buy?
Game files show it running from 2/16-2/18 running from 3am EST-3am EST. So it’ll end at 3am EST on the 18th (so in the wee hours of Tuesday morning). On the plus side congrats on the cat 🙂
I got him. Made his quite a nice woodsy spread to live on too. Come check him out thaddeustu569. His estate is on the east side of town. That is if you assume the mountain range is north.

I got him and am happy I did. Then again, any character I spend donuts on is a character I have to really want. I agree with you, but which George Washington do you want? 🙂 I suggested in another post here for EA to introduce the robot Washington from Duff Gardens.

How does everyone get so many donuts. I am on level 14 and I only have 52 donuts and all these things cost so many donuts. Is the only way to get alot to buy them with real money?
You will slowly accumulate (emphasis on the adjective) donuts playing the game but the only true way to get a bunch is to spend your hardearned dinero.
