Still no update to speak of…but like I said yesterday…it’s ok! We’ve got TONS of great posts to keep your Tapping minds and fingers fresh! I’ve got another little poll I want to conduct this morning inspired straight from the comments again. (and yes this time it’s an actual poll…just for you Freak!)
In reading your comments over the course of the Valentine’s Day Event it’s been interesting to see the different items that some of you have been having difficulty getting. That elusive final item to clear the wheel if you will. For me it was the Train. I only landed on it ONCE. Yes, that’s right 1 time in ALL of my spins (about 50+ I lost count). However, Bunny has like 10 trains.
Now it makes sense…in my mind anyway…that the train has been the hardest for me to get because the odds of landing on it are the worst (5%). BUT for some of you the hardest items to land on have been the fountain or the bird bath, and you have multiple Trains. Which is interesting (to me anyway) because the odds on the fountain and bird bath were at 10%.
So what I want to know is just how accurate (to an extent) those odds were. (I know to truly calculate the accuracy of those odds I’d need to know how many of each item you earned and how many spins etc. But this is more a basic accuracy test) I want to know which items you had the hardest time hitting AND which items you seemed to land on the most often. NOTE: I’ve left the fence off of the landed on the most. At 15% odds I think it’s safe to say we all have multiple fences in our towns!

Now one more thing….I want to know if you’ve cleared the wheel yet. Last time we ran this poll over a week ago 40% of you say yes and 60% said no (with 38% of you saying you only had 1 item left). So I want to know if those results have improved. This time it’s just a simple yes or no:

During events, I play with 2 accounts: my normal account and an anonymous account (for testing gameplay for articles in my blog).
Like during the Christmas Event, again, it was one different item I missed for quite a long time. It seems that the probability for the last missing 10% item could be different 🙂
I never got the balloons! 🙁
After much nail biting and hair pulling the wheel is finally completed. Got the final item right before the notification of update from the play store came in. How close is that. Phew! Of course I used the 3 item and counter clock wise much talked about trick. Et viola a pink gazebo. Did the trick really work or just pure coincidence? Well when one is pushed to the corner one will try all sorts. No harm no foul. Thank you for the tip. Cheers.

I was fortunate enough to clear the wheel in the first week. Then I kept getting lots of gazebos and fountains so my town is very pink. I wanted more of the balloons for my Duff Party park by the beach to decorate my car show and shine but not much luck. I did manage to get another pond on my last spin before updating though so the bonus multiplier was nice 🙂
I really didn’t spin that many times, but I got 7 of those darned gazebos! The most of anything else I got was 2, I think. I did clear the wheel about a day and half before the end of the event, which was a huge relief since I was afraid it was going to come down to the wire, and I refuse to buy hearts for this wheel.
Here is my list of v-day freebies. I was most disappointed to get so few fences and lamp posts, as I wanted them to decorate my town. Also, giving me less and less hearts as I visit more neighbours was a stupid idea.

Thanks for the kind words, Alyssa. By this carefully-crafted scheme of tasks, including setting an alarm multiple times tonight to resend Marge or Ned on their tasks, I could have 201 hearts by 11am tomorrow for 1 last attempt at getting that elusive gazebo.
Am I crazy to try? Or is this exactly what any self-respecting tsto addict would do? Haha

Many a Addicts have tried to extend the event and not update as long as they can. Doesn’t hurt to try, right? 😉
now if they’d only let us sell the excess junk from the wheel. last checked some items can’t be sold. i hate a cluttered inventory of stuff i don’t need or want.
I do not know how many ponds or trains I won, and how many were left over from last year, but other than that: 56 Fences, 11 Fountains, 11 Balloons, 7 Flower Carts, 5 Gazebos, 5 Lampposts, 5 Bird Baths, 4 Benches. For me it was pretty easy going with the Wheel, I cleared it just a couple of days in.

you shouldn’t be able to sell stuff like the volcano lair ect. why the @!#% would i wanna sell that for cash?` however i really would like to get rid of some of the ugly vday items .. .
do you think it will be possible to give items to our neighbours in the future?`for example stuff i got multiple times from the wheel .. that way no one would be annoyed.
That would be cool to be able to “gift” items to a neighbor. Kind of like Animal Crossing. Just drop it off in their town. I would welcome that. Not sure EA’s thoughts on it. A lot of coding involved. Lol. 😉
I actually got the train on my first spin, then proceeded to get gazebos and benches (soooo many ******* benches) for what seems like forever after that. Only got about 4 fences in the end, despite the odds.. And finally won my last item (fountain) today in a last ditch attempt, I’d nearly given up all hope of ever getting the tunnel of love!

While I love this game, I am so sad with my outcome for the Valentine’s event. My results were the exact opposite of most tappers here. Here most tappers had difficulty getting balloons, and found the gazebo the easiest to get. Out of 52 spins, I received 40 fences, 12 balloons, 7 lamps, 5 fountains, 4 trains, 4 ponds, 4 flower carts, 3 benches, and 3 bird baths. NO gazebo.
I tried spinning every way I could think of. I followed the directions here for the 4 underneath/counterclockwise spin many times. Nothing worked. At Christmastime I was able to do this but for this event, my wheel could no longer be spun lightly. I was at the mercy of the wheel every time.
I really wanted that Tunnel of Love!!!

Funny thing is…a TON of players complained to EA to make it so they don’t “accidentally” sale off those limited items. So they changed it. Now everyone is saying “change it back”. Kind of humorous in a way. Lol 😉
I don’t mind them only if for my designing, but I can see where others just want them gone. (Just don’t get rid of the trains and ponds…they add bonus to your $$$ and XP)

I second that…never got my own in the 40+ spins I had…
i don´t see the problem with the wheel .. . it´s annoying ok i know but
i visited all 92 neighbours daily and did every task for gettin more hearts ..
so i was able to clear the wheel .. .also i got 5 trains and 6 ponds + the other useless ugly stuff.
i would love to give neighbours stuff that i collected multiple times but there´s no option. yet?`
I didn’t see fences on the what you got the most of poll. I have soooo many pink fences. I cleared the wheel, but, I’m still bitter about missing out on the snowman while earning over 120,000 GC. Yes, bitter…I tried so darn hard to get him.
Yup because we figured everyone has a million fences (they had the best odds). We wanted to know what else you had the most of 🙂
So weird… I only landed on the fences maybe 4 times — not complainin’… got Love Tunnel on day 8 or so — so sad to see an entire fourth of the group not finish in time. How random! (or should I say, non-random). I feel one of Wookie’s TSTO Anon posts coming on…
12 sets of fences (48 sections), 9 lampposts, 10 benches, 16 pink water fountains, 4 birdbaths, 6 trains, 8 heart ponds, 6 gazebos, 7 flower carts and 11 balloons (88 spins + vday gift)…if anyone has a use for that many fountains, I’d love to hear it.
I have had the wheel cleared since Valentine’s Day. I have since gotten tons of everything else. I have 6trains and countless ponds. I have at least 10 gazebos. I have had to make a giant park just for v-day stuff. BUT I only have 1 lamppost. I mean, what am I supposes to do with one lamppost? At least give my ocd self 2 so I can put them out. UGH!!
Interesting, because I have the fountain, bird bath, love pond, and the train and I must have spun the wheel, maybe, 10-12 times in total.

8 trains, 9 bird baths, 18 fountains!!!!!, 11 benches, 11 lamps, 8 carts, 8 balloons, 9 gazebos, 5 ponds, and I don’t even want to could the huge amount of fences I have stored in my inventory. I accidentally purchased 30 extra spins so I have more items than I would have without it. The ponds and balloons were the things I wanted most… so of course I didn’t get many of those. The one that took me longest to get for the first time was the bird bath.
I’m thinking of starting a wedding rental service with all the fountains and gazebos.
I have a gazillion (11) gazebos ahhh!
It took me awhile to get the fountain and I have the least of them but I do have 3. Second to that is my bird baths (4) and flower carts (4). After that I have 5 trains, 6 heart shaped pools, 6 benches, 8 lampposts, 10 balloons.
I have to include I won the fence 12 times.
That makes 69 spins in about 20 days. I averaged 3.5 spins a day. And at least 20 of my 100 friends are lazy and did not participate. I am slacking on cleaning up my friends list.
I had already cleared the wheel by the 12th so on V-day I received the normal wooden fence.
I have tons of fountains and gazebos and want to sell them all cause i don’t need them all so as benches and others
I gotta agree with you David. I have a lot of wheel prizes that I would love to be able to sell.
I’m shocked to see the train was only 5% because I ended up getting 5 trains from the wheel! I guess I’m finally getting a lucky break!
I couldn’t get the love pond at all. so when the event ended and I took my last 3 spins I ended up shelling out the 30 donuts to buy it. Then when I went back to the wheel it counted as me “landing on it” and I got the tunnel. I guess 30 donuts for the Tunnel is decent since I couldn’t clear the wheel. Just frustrating. I saved 12 spins for the last day hoping EA would change the odds (like they did the final days of xmas) but to no avail, I had to use the donuts.
I had to do the same exact thing except I had 23 spins for the last day. I needed bench and pond. Got 3 benches and had to buy the pond. I’ve kept playing, maybe 6 more spins since but still no pond
I think I have eight of the fountains. I have a bunch stashed in inventory because they started taking over my town!
I am still unable to get the Valentine’s Pond 🙁
So I couldn’t obtain the tunnel of love.
I have several gazebos, bird bath & trains… is there any way Ea can reward us with the missing item?
I have not seen this done as of yet. In my A freemium town, I never got all the Christmas prizes on the wheel either. Maybe in the future they will bring it back?
Since the pond is purchasable with donuts does anyone know if this would count towards the wheel?
I have seen both the pond and the train count towards it. Just make sure you do NOT update before making that decision.
I have more fence than anything else. But I can’t select that option for the second poll.
Yea that’s because it’s the easiest to get on the wheel. We figured everyone has a million of those, we wanted to know more about the other items. 🙂
I received train as a special reward. Never once landed on the train via the wheel
I actually got the train as my Valentine’s Day gift. Now I’m waiting on the stupid lamp post. I’ll probably miss out again thanks to the RNG Wheel of Lame. V_____V
