From the Mouths of Addicts: Well I’ll Be A Wookiee’s Mama!

wookiee mama

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out!  Wookiee here to introduce this week’s post.  Last week my Mom was out browsing the blogosphere and may have seen some stuff that made her angry.  After calming her down, I did encourage her to write about whatever she felt like for a Mouths of Addicts post.  Without further ado, here she is…WookieMama here.  First off I am not a dung beetle, not a gamer and really not that original.  I am just a cranky old lady who enjoys playing a silly game with yellow-fingered people and sharing the game with her family.  Events are fun but so is the time in between.

I have been playing for a few months now.  I visit my neighbors on an almost daily basis and enjoy looking at what they have done with their towns.  I started off just plopping buildings anywhere just so I could level up on tasks.  On experience points, I am at level 37.  I find it unbelievable that I have reached that level just from playing daily.  I have bought some premium items but I really have tried to keep this a freemium game as much as possible.

Recently I decided that my town needed to be more organized and to look better, at least to me, so I started moving things around and creating little areas.  I am on a mission for everything to have a place of its own that makes sense to me and my crazy imagination.  I had a “slum” of nine brown houses that really bugged me.  I do not like the look of tons of houses in rows.  The Wookiee and I were talking about the game and I commented on my “slum.”  He suggested that the brown houses could be used as cabins for Kamp Krusty.  He knew I had bought Kamp Krusty even though he wasn’t sure why I spent donuts on it since I have never seen the Simpson episode it is from.   I actually bought it because of the things we did together a long time ago as he was growing up.    I had tried to think of a way to make it look a little like a scout camp in our nearby mountains and the cabin idea was spot on.

Wookieemama Kamp Krusty

So now I needed to save money to buy land along the mountains and begin to rearrange things.  As I moved brown houses I realized I need trees – lots of trees – to nestle the cabins in.  In my head a story grew about the Kamp and the different uses of the cabins during the year.  In summer, lots of campers, in winter, cozy romantic get-aways.  The Kamp could be bigger because it was near the nuclear power plant and the land was cheap because of contamination LOL.  It is still a work in progress and will continue to grow.  Maybe some “nicer” cabins in the future.

So now the Valentine Day event starts and I am excited.  I am a hopeless romantic/princess waiting for my knight to arrive someday.  I visit my neighbors every day, leaving valentines when possible.  I moan and complain about how few of my neighbors are visiting me on a regular basis and leaving me valentines.  I am growing roses every day.  I have a plan for them.  I want to spin the wheel over and over.  There are certain things I want lots of because I have future plans for them once I have more land.

On FB, I see a picture of what one person did with Madame Chaos.  I like the concept and modify it for me.  A romantic restaurant with outdoor seating that gives a little intimacy, with a little romantic park right next door to sit in while waiting for a table.

Wookieemama Chao's

I have always kept my nuclear waste and it always seemed to be a moving dump site that didn’t belong where it was.  I am still buying land instead of buildings.  Heck if I don’t buy buildings it will mean that tasks will be there to complete once I have gotten over my greedy need for land.  I buy more land along the mountains and move my nuclear plant alongside Kamp Krusty.  Fits the storyline I have in my head but something is missing.  Once again the Wookiee has to listen to my whining and throws out a couple of suggestions.  My creative thoughts start running and my tapping starts going crazy.  I move my dump site outside the gates of the plant, have the plow truck pushing waste to clear a road and for fun put a choo choo train in with the waste.  Still needs more land to be completed but I love it.

Wookieemama Power Plant

I visit other blogs but I always return to Addicts and it is not just because I am the WookieeMama.   I play the game when waiting for shows and rides at Disneyland (I go a lot since I live close) and get into discussions about the game.   I have added neighbors during these times.  I always ask if they read any of the blogs and if so which one(s).  I have had parents tell me they will not allow their child who plays the game to go on any of the blogs because of content.  I always suggest they check out Addicts.  It’s family friendly.  No bashing of EA and other blogs, no vulgar language and you can easily pick and choose what content area you want to visit.

So… I’m gonna keep on tapping as long as it’s fun, ignore the negative things that other people say and enjoy my son’s blog.  Sure, I’m a little biased but there’s all kinds of bias to be found on the internet.  Mostly crank old ladies like me.  Like my son says and stole from me btw, TTFN… Wookieemama out!

P.S.  That is my origin name.  Still looking for dedicated friends to share the love of TSTO year round.

For the record, I’m pretty sure I stole it from Tigger.  My Mama may be a little crazy but I love her.  If you’re curious, yes, I was a cub scout and boy scout.  Seems mi madre may have caught the writing bug from her giant, furry baby boy.  Also possible it’s gentetic.  Kinda wish I’d let her write her original idea of a rant but there’s enough of that in the world.  Rule #1 might be let the wookiee win but it probably really should be don’t anger the wookiee’s mama.

Anywho… sound off in the comments below if you like.  Do you do any decorating with other tappers?  Ever get heated by what you read in the world? Got something you’re dying to show off?  Don’t let my Mom be the only person having her say.  I know there’s a ton of creative folks here on the site and can guarantee one or two of you can wordsling with the best of us.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

Once a week (at least) we plan on showcasing your words for the world, and TSTO Community, to read!  Here’s your chance to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out.  Simply send in your posts to our Addicts email account: TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com (many of you already do) and we’ll do the rest!  We’ll pick (at least) one post to be showcased here on Addicts every week.  So send us your posts…we can’t wait to see what you have to say!

  1. Thank you everyone for such positive comments. I am overwhelmed by all of this. If you sent me a neighbor request since this post please be patient. I am cleaning up my neighbors and hope to add new neighbors in the next few days.

  2. ADD ME UP!!!
haimovich <<<< is my id!!!! Everyday playaaaar

  3. Thanks everyone for all the great comments to my wonderful mother. She really feels a little “TSTO famous” and was a bit surprised by all the invites she got. Best. Readers. Ever.

  4. Maybe 2 days ago I accidentally used 18 donuts to speed up the hotel in Krustyland for 120 tickets (obviously not worth 18 donuts). I mentioned it on here and The Wookiee suggested I contact EA about it, which I did. Maybe less than an hour ago I noticed I had 20 extra donuts and found an email from EA about being given the 20 donuts. Thanks Wookiee for suggesting I contact them and for informing me about the confirm donuts feature in the settings so I don’t make that mistake again. EA’s got some pretty good customer service.

    • WOOHOO!!! This is why we suggest giving them a try. They really are doing all they can to help out the players of the game. Sometimes it may take a bit to get a response. Sometimes it is quite instant. I am glad to hear that they took care of you. 😉

  5. You’ve been my neighbor for quite a while now, but I didn’t think you were THE Wookie’s Mama. I get so busy tapping my neighbor’s towns, especially during events, that I forget to just relax check out others designs. I will definately stop and give your town a look. I like what I see so far. Check out mine.
    Your neighbor,
EFAVELA (my friend list is full but Iooking to clear some spaces soon)

  6. So Wookie, I see the apple does not fall too far from the tree!! Great post “Wookie Mama”, look forward to many more contributions…and nice design ideas too……also you bore (?) a very talented prodigy…

  7. Loved this! Request sent-we have a lot in common!

  8. Wookieemama is more than welcome to join TOuk where ideas are easily shared and feedback is fast 🙂 oh and to keep an eye on her cub. Tap my name for a personal invite 😀 that goes for Everyone btw.

    • tried to find you thru origin under your name but no luck. found similarities aka minicha1, etc

      • LoL Im a terrible neighbour! Only drop in once or twice a week and then tap whatever with no consideration for regenerating time, multiple handshakes and now FPs!
Join TOuk and PM me and I might add you if you still want 😉

  9. WookieeMama, thank you for accepting my invite. Plz excuse the mess! I am still a work in progress but come to think of it, Springfield was always a work in progress. Love the Madame Chaos deco and definitely love what you did with your plow! 🙂

  10. One of the top five things i love about TSTOADDICTS is the drama-free environment!!!! Everywhere else its negative this and negative that!!! i will stay right here!! No point in looking elsewhere!!

  11. Cool, I was Just friended by a Wookieemama!
I see how you are buying lots of open land, I was going to save some nuclear waste, but I found that sometimes when you have Homer clean it up you get Doughnuts, so I’ve been doing that.
I look forward to seeing your town again tomorrow for a daily visit.

  12. Mamawookiee, you have got to submit a “caption this” with Milhouse and the Grumple. That is awesome!

  13. Pandi (@LadyPandi)

On brown houses, I only have one now because I couldn’t stand it when the Grumple went to other ones to do his “thing” I want him next to Homer’s house! I do make sure and have lots of 3h purple houses around and I don’t click on them until someone visiting does.
But when I did use them… (yes I know I’m crazy, I’m ok with it) I used them as cheap ocean front rentals. I used to go to Old Orchard Beach in Maine with a friend who’s Mom took care of some rental cabins, and they reminded me of those. Cheap little shacks but they got BIG$$$ to rent them out because they were a short 2 minute walk to the pier. Best thing about Old Orchard Beach is the pier fries!!
Oh darnit now I want some…

While I’m at it, I want one for my Squidport! 🙂

  14. Hi Wookieemama! would love to have you as my neighboreeno!!!!! I already have your very talented cheeto loving son as a neighbor. I cannot stand all that clutter either! I was taught that a cluttered anything brings cluttered minds! So very valid in all you said!!!

  15. A really good post, Mamawookiee. I think we see where Wookiee got his writing skills. There are some curmudgeonly, ornery geezers on the web who claim to be compassionate and socially-minded, yet their words betray them. Today, MW, you choose the higher road… HAGN and keep on tapping. 🙂

  16. W mama love your Spfd innovation – I also design via storylines. Glad you rose above rant mode. Lately have noticed the overused word BORING to describe the root of every game inadequacy. So sad such venting closes off creativity. I too share TSTO with my adult son – great fun to talk TSTO live with him.

  17. Pandi (@LadyPandi)

Hi Wookieemama! (waves) I enjoyed your article, you sound a lot like me, I can’t deal with things that don’t make sense (to me) and I love your Kamp Krusty! Great idea.
I can’t get my son to play lol he’s 16 and doesn’t see a point in it. But he plays minecraft… go figure.
Anyway, a pleasure to “meet” you.
I sent you a friend request, name is misspandi.
Oh and I think your son is very clever and funny, good job! (shh don’t let him see that, it’ll go right to his head) I mean… he gets fur all over the place!

  18. It’s nice to hear someone else have the same methods to their maddness. Everything in my town has a purpose. A lot of my friends jst have tons of houses cramed together not many towns make sense. That bugs me I like to see peoples imagination. I sent a friend request to ur wookiemama in hopes she accepts I can’t wait to see her town 😉

  19. What a great read. Wookiemomma has some design skills! I enjoy the waste dump the most I think. I created mine next to the power plant as well, but I built mine as sort of a landfill with the tire fire. The plow idea is fantastic!

    • Pandi (@LadyPandi)

I tend to stash the waste behind buildings in case I need it, because it drives me nutty… wish you could pile it in a proper pile. I had a few pieces in front of my plow but it just didn’t look right. The idea of clearing a path through the debris is quite good though!

  20. In my nearly 7 months playing, I’ve only once had an issue adding a friend prior to today; where it said “Failed to invite friend at this time”. That was for none other than the Wookieeman.
Well now I have a second person who has given me that error: Mama Wookiee.
Does your family not like me? LOL.
Eventually Wookiee and I were able to become friends. I’ll try adding WookieeMama again later. If Mama would like to try adding me, I’d be honoured. User name is safizaidi99.
