How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening? Everyone enjoying their weekend? Anyone else bracing for MORE snow??? Ready for Spring? I know I sure as heck am!
Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No, no it’s not time to pick the Cheetos out of Wookiee’s fur…I make the Grumple do that on Saturday Nights. Nope nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. It’s Oscar night here in the US (on ABC, starting at 8pm EST). Who will win best picture? What will everyone be wearing? Do you even care? (I know I don’t!) Mardi Gras is this week…will you be partying down? What will you be indulging in on Fat Tuesday? The Social Event hit our games this week…what do you think of the new Friend Point system? Are you making good use of visiting your neighbors? Are you racking up those free prizes?
So chat about the Oscars, TSTO, Mardi Gras or anything else you can think of! Can’t wait to chat with you all! You know we LOVE hearing from you!

Question: Do you think that there will be a St. Patty’s day event again this year? I really want O’Flannigan and I don’t care how many donuts he costs!
I hope so. I just joined St Patty’s last year and would love to get the stuff I missed.
Question about the availability of “tappable” buildings in neighbors’ towns: What are the rules for regeneration? I ran a few experiments, and the results are confusing, to say the least…
First, I went into a town and tapped only on the Simpsons’ House and waited for 45s – and the Dollar sign came back. Regeneration – check.
Next, I looked for a town with nothing to tap, scrolled to the Simpsons’ House and waited. And waited. And waited some more. After about 5 min still nothing happened – no regeneration?
Does anyone know why it does regenerate in the first case, but not in the second? Limited number of regenerations maybe?
For me…I think the regeneration is taking place on your neighbor side. Could be they were in there and happened to clear as you tapped the first time. I know I’ve done that a few times. Saw multiple taps in my Simpson house while I was there. I also experienced both scenarios while hopping through other towns.

So I have been playing the game for almost a year now and have everything you can have without buying anything premium. Currently I’m just stockpiling money to buy all the land and will finally “design” my town then.
Over this past year, I’ve saved every donut possible (with the exception of randomly tapping too quickly on a house or something). I’m on the verge of 250 and have been thinking about Barney since I also have the Plow King storyline.
My question is, is that the best use of my donuts? Obviously I’m hesitant since I’ve never spent them before, but I feel like now is the time. Any tips/suggestions would be great.
I would suggest looking through our “Should I Spend Donuts On” area. Weigh your options of what is most beneficial vs what is more just to have to say you have it. You can also look at our Top Ten Addicts choices. We have several posts on the donut spending throughout the blog. Just use the “Search” feature along the top Menus of our Home Page. It does a search similar to Google, but it links to just our blog posts here. 😉
Just a random TSTO idea: it would be cool if the Lard Lab Donuts produced one donut a day instead of however much money it generates each day. It is after all a donut shop and I don’t think one free donut a day is too crazy for them to consider. One things for sure, everyone would make sure to add it to their town. And as far as the Oscars, I’m glad the beautiful Lupita Nyong’o won for Best Supporting Actress.
Oooo I like that idea! That’s a great idea, especially since Lard Lad does cost donuts. So spend donuts to make donuts, a great concept! 🙂
Exactly, so after buying Lard Lad Donuts for 110 donuts, you would only break even by playing for 110 days by collecting your one donut each day. Though I imagine that EA wouldn’t be too crazy about incorporating a steady, free stream of donuts with one of the buildings. They could always increase the amount of donuts for L.L.D, so that you would have to play even longer to break even/ become donut profitable.

If u haven’t been able to collect from a friends town for a few days should u delete that person or still keep them?
That is a personal call. Keep in mind, some people cant play as often…and even if they do…there is just not enough items for EVERYONE to tap each day unless they constantly clear them out.
100 friends times 3 taps each = 300 total taps. I do not know many people that have 300 items available to tap at one time, unless they house farm.

Okay, I’ve been waiting for Sunday to ask about this: What the hell is up with Sideshow Bob? For the past two weeks he pops up in my town 2-3 times a day! He’s constantly in neighbors towns too. Yesterday I Tapped through about 30 towns and he was in twelve of them. At one point he was in three towns in a row! Is anyone else seeing him all the time?
YES! Sideshow Bob has been EVERYWHERE lately! Almost every time i’m in my town…boom! There he is. Wondering if it’s coding to help boost your righteousness rating.
Hasn’t affected my rating, partially because of training walls, but also because I’m so ocd about catching him!
I’ ve seen him more but my rating hasn’t moved so I’m not worried.
If I go into Other Springfield, he ALWAYS lurks at the Squidport entrance. Great thing to make some extra money – go in and out of Other Springfield and catch Sideshow Bob 🙂

I’ve been wondering how other tappers feel about this… Now that we can see how long it’s been since someone logged in, how long is too long for someone to be gone and still remain on your friends list?
It’s a common question among tappers. I’d like to know what others take on this is, but for me I usually give them about 2 weeks before I delete. You never know if it’s a glitch causing them to be blocked out of the game. 🙂
So I reached my max 151 tiles last night. 🙁
One of my neighbours seems to have 250+ tiles, is that a hack? Or am I missing a trick that allows more tiles?
Nope, not a hack. When the tile glitch was working you could earn more than then 151 if you kept at least 1 handshake over your Squidport. But once you tapped that 1 tile to clear it you wouldn’t be able to make anymore. I’m pretty sure I have over the 151 because of the glitch. 🙂
Awe 🙁 Wish I had found this website sooner, learned of the glitch sooner, and had more than 2 friends sooner. 🙁
