Real Housewives of Springfield: Francesca Terwilliger

Welcome Addicts to a new addition to our posts. In this little game of ours, we tend to forget those characters that are few and far between. We get so involved in the game, so into the latest events…that we sometimes forget to pay attention to the little things. The little details that make the Springfield world go around. The thing that seems to be really lacking/missing from Springfield.

What exactly is it I am going on about? What is so terribly important to the game that would draw such attention. WOMEN OF COURSE! To be a bit more specific, The Real Housewives of Springfield (and maybe a mistress or 3. Gotta have the drama aspect in any series, right?).

So keep your eyes on our blog as we take you on a new journey into the lives of each of the women currently and NOT currently available in the game.

With Sideshow Bob the center of the New Simpsons Episode: The Man Who Grew Too Much, I wanted to take a minute and focus on a part of his life some of you may have forgotten or not even have known. Sideshow Bob has a wife. Seriously! No, NOT Selma. His OTHER wife. Her name is Francesca. A hot Italian firecracker of a woman that you do not want to mess with. Perfect match?? Hang tight while I break down a bit about where we are introduced to her and why I think she would make a great addition to our game. (Especially if EA makes Bob a playable character **hint hint EA**)

Season 17, Episode 8: The Italian Bob
Mr. Burns is having a bit of car trouble with his antique car and decides to purchase a new one. Lamborgotti Fasterossa (ooooh, I’d like to have THAT in the game.)

He wants Homer to travel to the factory in Italy so he can pick it up and send it back. Homer asks if he can bring the family too. So off the Simpsons go to Italy. At the factory, Marge pleads with Homer to allow them to explore a lil more of Italy. And explore a lil more they do.

But as all Simpson travels go, they end up wrecking the car…by encountering a cheese delivery truck spilling its contents (no thanks to Homer watching the TV in the car and swerving into the wrong lane).

They push the car to the nearest village, Salsiccia. They are directed to the Mayor of the town (as he speaks English) and go to….AAAAAAAAHHHH THE MAYOR IS SIDESHOW BOB!!!

How did he end up there? Well, of course after another attempt to murder Bart. He was tired of it all and needed to get away. So he decided to go to Tuscany. He was shunned at first, until the townspeople grew tired of squashing grapes with their tiny feet. With his ginormous feet, he was able to do 10 times the work as others. The next Spring, he was elected their Mayor. But…he won more than the love of the town. (In walks Francesca and their son, Gino.)

The Simpsons realize really fast that she has NO idea who he was before he came to Tuscany.

He begs them to not spill what terrible things he has done in Springfield to his wife.He shows them around town, plays sports with the local kids, he is basically everything Sideshow Bob wasn’t.

The Simpsons play along…

the is until Lisa has had too much wine to drink and spills EVERYTHING…along with her wine. He pleads with Francesca, but the townsfolk now know the real person behind the Mayor and want him out of their town.

He swears a vendetta against them as the Simpsons hop into the newly fixed Lamborgotti and quickly leave town.

He follows them, but Francesca follows him too. She explains they will get revenge…as a FAMILY!! Now THAT is a woman. Standing by her man to the end.

The Simpsons try and hide out at the Opera the Krusty is doing (yah, he is there too) but they are spotted by lil Gino who just so happens to be watching the Opera with Bob and Francesca.

Bob drops Krusty through the trap door in the floor and takes his place so he can sing the Opera while his wife and child surround the Simpsons with stabby knives.

Krusty manages to drive in with his limo and rescue the Simpsons just in time. The Terwilliger family are left behind, but with devious smiles on their faces.

I think Sideshow Bob has met his match in Francesca. The perfect Yin to his Yang.

So do we get to see Francesca again? We do indeed.

Season 19, Episode 8: Funeral For A Fiend
Homer has just purchased batteries…and a TiVo. Marge loves how she can fly through programs with no worry of commercials. But a nightmare forces her to start watching them all. A commercial comes on for “Wes Doobner’s World Famous Family Style Rib Huts” and the Simpsons are sold. However when they arrive, the place is deserted. This isn’t a Rib Hut…it is… SIDESHOW BOB!!

After tying them all up, he begins a SLIDESHOW BOB montage of what has happened since they last met. His family fled to England after the Simpsons escaped him in Italy. It seems that him, Francesca, and lil Gino were quite happy.

But Sideshow couldn’t keep killing Bart off his mind and found a way to sneak back into the U.S. (Hey, where’s Francesca? Did he leave her behind?)  He decided to lure them in with the Rib Hut and blow them up with a faulty laptop that would overheat and blow up a pile of TNT. His plan to blow up the Simpsons is thwarted…again Lisa stepped in. He is arrested. We finally see Francesca again at his trial. (Side note: during his trial we see his Mom too sitting next to her. Dame Judith Underdunk.)

Sideshow blames Bart for his evil ways. While trying to take some nitroglycerin (for his congenital heart defect), Bart swipes it away (not knowing)…and Bob…dies! His entire family shows up for the Funeral. (Even Cecil was let out to come say goodbye.)

Poor Francesca.The loving Italian wife is now a grieving widow.

The Simpson family appears to pay their respect, but Homer ruins it when he says, “I still can’t stand him” and it echoes throughout the chapel. Poor Francesca. They leave the funeral. Later that evening, Bart feels guilty and finally goes back to the mortuary to pay his respect to…a quite ALIVE Sideshow Bob. Once again, Bart fell for Bob’s plans and is tossed in Bob’s coffin to be cremated. Of course, his ever loving wife Francesca was right by his side all along. (What a beautifully evil woman.)

Lisa (of course) realizes Bob’s plans and rushes the rest of the family to the funeral home. Just in time of course. Wiggum and the cops burst in to arrest Bob and his entire family. (Mom, Dad, and brother were all in it too.)

So now Francesa, Gino, Cecil, Bob, Judith, and Robert Sr. all get to spend MANY  MANY years in prison together. Or do they? I wonder if she will return in tonight’s Episode with Bob? Stay tuned to find out! 🙂

So there you have it. A strong willed, beautiful, devious, evil, and loyal Italian woman that has your back AND would be a great addition to the game. Anyone would be very lucky to have such a woman. (Heck, why not just bring in the ENTIRE family. Mom, Dad, Brother, Wife, Son, and Bob! THAT would make for some fun times in Springfield.) They could bring in a Tuscan style house for them to live in. That Lamborgotti as another cool vehicle for them to drive around. Tormenting all of Springfield. The tasks….oh the tasks have endless possibilities.
