Well another event is upon us and you know what that means…no time like the present to start to those fingers Turbo Tappin’!
What’s great about this update is that even though the brought back a building from last year & a character from last year…they’ve definitely changed up the dialogue and it’s great! Actually includes one of Bunny’s favorite animations!
So let’s get to it shall we?
We’ve already covered the first part of St. Patrick’s Day in Training Day so now we’ll pick things back up with Lisa and Tom O’Flanagan in Dye The Town Green…..

And with that the Dye the Town Green AND St. Patrick’s Day qestline is complete!
Dye The Town Green takes 2 days, 6hrs and 45 seconds to complete.
Overall the St. Patrick’s Day Event takes 6 days, 11hrs and 45 seconds to complete…assuming you had to build O’Flanagan’s Pub AND you send characters on the multi-character quest at the same time. If you already had the bar you can knock 1 day off of the total.
Take your time with this questline Tappers! There’s some GREAT dialogue in it so be sure to not miss it!

So did anyone notice a certain detail in this storyline? Particularly if you have Rex Banner, when you have all the springfieldians go to have a drink at Tom’s Pub he’s the only one (sans children and/or prego brandine) who doesn’t get the option. At first I thought it was because they forgot him but if you remember the episode he came from, he enforces prohibition and ban on alcohol in Springfield. It’s that attention to detail that makes me love the hell out of this game.
I placed 4 dumpsters, but it still says 0/3 :s
Try loggin out, restarting your device, then logging back in. Let us know if that works.
It didn’t work 🙁 every time in place a dumpster, I get a finger pointing to the leaf in the left, thus the system recognizes my action but it keeps saying 0/3.
If placing the blue dumpsters does not work and restarting your device doesn’t clear it, the next step is to uninstall and reinstall the app itself to see if that refreshes the game. Beyond that, if it still doesn’t work…contacting EA is the next step.
Still didn’t work, but thanks anyway. When I log in I get the message that my device didn’t save the old game. Maybe that has to do something with it?

Yeah like that message. But I always just continue as that link also suggested. I really don’t know what the problem is. It is very strange. When I place a dumpster I get a hand pointing to the quest logo as it always does when you complete a part and when I tap that logo, I see: 0/3.
Granted I can’t go back and confirm, but the game made me buy Green dumpsters, hence the term “paint the town green.” And then you get nothing for it but -30 donuts….so pissed off at the game right now….
The game said the Blue Dumpsters actually. The Green was in regards to “going green” ie recycling. The game would never require donut purchases on any item. The Blue Dumpsters is actually what it tells you to get.
Someone tell me why i wasted 30 donuts on dumpsters for NOTHING

I bought the blue ones, coins only. You did not need to buy the green ones.
Don’t like the update. I had hoped for some new buildings or characters (not the one you can buy with donuts). Or maybe some game or wheel of fortune like the christmas update with the hearts.
It’s hard with updates like St. Pat’s and Thanksgiving. They’re both considered minor events. Usually there’s a new questline and 1 free item (and free decorations) and then something completely new for premium. I remember Thanksgiving we got the Sacagawea Lisa skin for free with a funny questline but the Casino and Tribal Chief cost donuts. Then some balloons wer efree and others cost donuts. It’s just what happens on these minor updates. They’re slightly bigger than an episode tie-in but not as big as the big social events (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Whacking Day…if we get it this year). I think if you think of it in the lines of it being a minor update it’s not as disappointing 🙂
Do the “Dye the town green” questline start after “Training day”? Or do they run simultaniously? (Currently, only the “Training day” Questline is in my “taskbook”)

What is needed to unlock these quests (first time posting the question it didnt show up, sorry if its a double post afterall). Recently started and only level 12, but the first quest for this is not showing up, and would love to get the rewards of it.
First off, WELCOME TO ADDICTS!!! 😉
For this event, you need to first of all be to at least Level 5 (which it sounds like you are past). Homer and Lisa should auto start up the dialog. If they have not yet, you may need to log out and restart your device.
The file also says “My Pad quest”, so you may want to make sure Homer has done that too. Don’t forget to get your “hidden easter egg” in the game…Jebediah and FREE DONUTS!!!

Thanks for the welcome, logging out, restart device and logging back in seem to have triggered the quest. So the pub is being build now. Also thanks for pointing me towards the Jebediah statue, didn’t have that one yet either.

Kind of disappointed that there isn’t more on offer in the St Paddys day event this year ! I was hoping to spend up big on a lot more things !!
Great St Paddy Day fun. Next is Whacking Day I guess. Lots of stuff I didn’t get last year with that.
Loving it but wish they had chosen a different shade of green. I have problems distinguishing it from my grass

No donuts after this quest. Most TSTO questlines don’t end in a prize or donuts. There’s actually less than a handful that do that I can think of. BUT it is a funny little questline 🙂
