Chicago, IL USA is famous for dying the cities rivers green this time of year or perhaps Mr. Burns takes a yearly trip to Chicago to hide his nuclear waste (IL does have a Springfield, maybe it’s The Springfield ) Below is a picture of Chicago’s dyed river it looks pretty close to the color of the rivers in our towns.”

I had the Lisa Frink beer quest thingy two days ago, so it’s not part of somthing new for today,
At least we don’t have to cancel any quests in progress by storing houses just to get a rare quest done for today.

It’s 10mimutes after 3am EST and no update, what’s supposed to happen?
I don’t know if I’m on a late quest or a new one, but O’Flannagan screwed up the beer.
No it’s not going to start till 4am EST, files are coded for 8GMT, which is usually 3am EST but when you take into account Daylight Savings in the US you’ve got to lose the hr when converting, which I forgot to do!
A Happy St. Paddy’s is supposed to start, at least that’s what’s in the files:
So this is odd. First time I’ve seen these happen where something was in the files to launch and didn’t. BUT i think daylight savings time may have impacted this. Files are in GMT and i forgot to take that into account, so it’s 4am EST. Grrr stinking America moving DST up so early!

It could still auto start, which a lot of them do.
Then again it is 4 am, I’m sure they would give you time to finish a quest if it has to be done in one day..
Well, that could be it… But didn’t daylight savings time affect you too? Or is daylight savings just in the US?
US and Canada have moved it up from the European countries. However, the files are coded in GMT. And GMT does not change with DST.
PS I’m in the US too…just completely forgetful!

Mine went all weird on me. I even took a picture. Doves were flying from the church, but frozen.
They’ve done Easter before, you had to manually put down each egg, it was a big pain…. very slow process and only for little amounts of cash. I want whacking day again.

Apparently it the hot trend these days… never made much sense to me, though.
I’m almost always up all night. Chronic Insomnia. Tonight I’m tired tho!!! Not good! Pulled all-nighter for the Valentine’s update. I can do this. I just know it. I just yawned. Not kidding. More soda! I always push the cherry button at our “6 and 12”.
I got insomnia too. Comes and goes as to when I want to sleep. If I sleep longer than 3 hrs at a time, I get a headache. Lol 😉
Now I feel bad making jokes about sleeping… And it doesn’t help that I’m on west coast time, so it’s not even 10 o’clock yet. I do tend to stay up pretty late. It’s not insomnia on my part… I’m just weird.

Meh…only if I sleep too long. So when I do sleep, it is in “stages”. Lol. A lil here n there when I can. Funny part is, I am most creative when I am tired. So…makes for a lot of creativity. 😉
Sadly, Springfield, IL isn’t Groening’s Springfield. It’s actually the one I was born in. My whole life I told ppl it was based on mine, but until Matt recently let everyone know, I was laughed or argued with. I’m proud to be from Springfield… OREGON!!
Lol yup he did admit it. But don’t forget he retracted it later on. I think he likes to keep the mystery alive 😉
Matt started with a newspaper comic in the Eugene Register Guard (Eugene is Springfield’s sister city). The name was Life In Hell. Years later, after The Simpson’s grew popular, Matt began adding elements of pretty much every Springfield in America. Tiny fact: The Nuclear Power Plant’s actual name was Trojan. The Trojan Power Plant was Eugene & Springfield’s beautiful backdrop.
I like the mystery too. But even the retraction didn’t stop Eugene & Sringfield having a massive party. Sadly I missed it bc by then I lived on the East coast : (
By now it’s everyone’s Springfield everywhere! There’s a little something in all our towns that all Springfielders & even any American town can relate to. That’s why it’s awesome!!
Whenever this comes up I always think of the chalkboard gag from “Beware My Cheating Bart”… The true location of Springfield is in any state but yours.
