Looks like an Episode Tie-In for this week’s “War of Art” episode just hit our devices. Working through the details as we speak, but this is an in-game update. Meaning it will download automatically once you start TSTO, so you don’t have to go to the App Store looking for it!

You may have trouble getting it to start in your town, if that happens try all of the usual troubleshoot methods (hard close and restart app, restart your device. You may have to do it more than once)

Mayor Quimby Auto Starts
Mayor Quimby: Residents of Springfield, do not panic, but we are experiencing an invasion by an alien species. Every neighborhood, every street is being overwhelmed by —
Lisa: GUINEA PIGS!!!! Dad, I’ve always wanted one, and here are dozens wandering the streets, desperate to be rescued, and I’m the FIRST LITTLE GIRL on the scene!!
Homer: Hmmm, don’t you think we should just call animal control? Or lots of speeding cars?
Lisa: No, Dad! Let me take them. I’d be the perfect guinea pig owner. I even know their common health problems, which include wheezing….crusty eyes, receding eyes, drooling, watery diarrhea, anorexia, bladder stones, limping and mange mites.
Homer: That sounds like a lot of fun, honey. But how about anything in the world else?
Lisa: We have to rescue them. Guinea pigs are mistreated everywhere. Did you know that in Peru people eat them? (Note from Alissa…true story. Once worked with a woman from Peru who used to tell me all about how they ate them, and the different ways to cook them. Kinda gross!)
Homer: Wait, they what?
Lisa: Nothing, Dad! They nothing.
Homer: I just have one question: how long are they cooked and at what temperature and are they brined and what sauces bring out their delicate flavor?
Lisa: They’re getting away! Help me rescue them!
Rescue Escaped Guinea Pigs- x40 To get things going you have to find and tap 40 Guinea Pigs in your town. They’re hard to spot but they are EVERYWHERE. They’re roaming around Springfield and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are fluffier than others too! When you Tap on them they roll into a ball and disappear! Again do this 40 times to get this going in your town!
Lisa: Where did all these poor guinea pigs come from?
Wiggum: It’s common for people to dump unwanted pets in Springfield. That’s why there’s a flock of ferrets living under Moe’s, and hundreds of monkeys in Professor Frink’s lab. It’s strange that so many people didn’t want their monkeys
Lisa: That’s horrible! But I’ll never give a single one of these cute guinea pigs away — ow! Hey, that white one just bit me!

Homer Starts
Homer: Uh-oh, I see blue hair coming this way.
Marge: Homer! There are 40 guinea pigs in Lisa’s room!
Homer: I know, honey. I’ll find a tactic to make her get rid of them right away.
Marge: Good.
Homer: Um, what tactic do you suggest I use?
Marge: Parenting!
Homer: Okay, I’ll try, but I haven’t had much luck with it before. Lisa! You can’t keep these guinea pigs here. You have to find a home for them right now or you don’t get to go to Janie’s birthday party.
Lisa: Okay
Homer: Good lord, this “parenting” thing is some powerful mojo.
Make Lisa Locate a Guinea Pig Sanctuary– 12hrs, Earns $420, 100xp
Lisa: Dad, I found a guinea pig rescue center on Craigslist!
Homer: Ah, Craigslist — the site that killed off classified ads, the yellow pages, and escorts having no where to advertise.
Lisa: The land the rescue center was on was taken over by survivalists so the center’s looking for new land. Apparently it’s easy to move — it’s a “manufactured home.”
Homer: In my day, those were called “mobile homes” and the residents were proud to be called trailer trash. But there’s no no name for these “manufactured home” people! Why must we ruin everything?
Lisa: Dad, I’m a little tired of hearing your “take” on things. Can’t we just find some land?
Homer: Land! The only thing in the world that God’s not making any more of…except during the Squidport update.

Lisa Auto starts
Lisa: I’m so glad we finally found a home for all those adorable guinea pigs. Can we go there right now and make sure that the workers are calling them by the names I gave them? It’s easy to confuse Iphigenia for Clytemnestra.
Homer: Sure, we can go. My shoes can always use a few minutes of standing in shallow pails of bleach.
Place Guinea Pig Rescue Center- Free building, takes 24hrs to build.
Make Lisa Faun over Rescued Guinea Pigs- 8hrs, Earns $275, 70xp
The Guinea Pig Rescue Center is in your Inventory! (Woo-hoo free building!!) Requires Level 5, Earns $200, 20xp every 12hrs. And it’s 10×10 in size. Takes 24hrs to build.
Lisa: The guinea pigs look so happy! And only a couple of them have bumblefoot or slobbers.
Homer: “Bumblefoot or the slobbers?” What are those?
Lisa: Guinea pigs diseases. But not to worry, I don’t think humans can get them…Dad, you tripped! Are you okay?
Homer: Yea, that’s weird — my foot suddenly doesn’t fit in my shoe. And I’m drooling like crazy.
Lisa: Oh, Dad, Pokey the guinea pig is looking at you! Can I please adopt him?
Homer: *slobbering no*
Lisa: Please, please, please, please….?
Homer: *unintelligible slobbers*
Lisa: That’s great, but I wanted a guinea pig.
That completes the Episode Tie-In Main Questline.

Pokey the Guinea Pig- 40 donuts, non-playable character. Part of the more pets and animals character collection.
Strupo Statue– 20 donuts, Adds a .50% bonus to all cash and XP, Requires Level 5. 2×2 in size. Pretty tall. Can be placed on the grass, beach, pavement or boardwalk.

Hey All! Just a heads-up/reminder to check your “confirm donut spend” settings with all the new updates recently. I lost 4 donuts this am because mine had reset themselves to “no” without my noticing. (Come on free Stampy donuts! Papa needs to break even!)
Wait how do I do that?
Go to your menu. (Buildings/decorations/etc). When the item list pops up in the center…look to the top right corner of it. The italic “i”
Click on it. There you will see all the settings for the game. You can turn sound up n down, notifications off and on, and set the confirm donuts to ON. 😉

Hi, when this episode tie in will end? I just started the first task but the second task which involve Lisa doesnt shown.is there anything i can do? By the way, all of my springfielders are on the last mission of beer bash (D’Oh!), could it be the problem?
According to info, 3-25-14 8 GMT. So in U.S. Time…essentially EARLY Tuesday morning. The tie-ins usually roll off after the new episode airs anyway. It is only a 3 part quest line.
If you have already tapped your 40 pigs, then the next part actually started by Homer. He has the dialog with Marge, so he needs to be free. Are you on that part?

Well actually yes last night, the first task already completed but at that time homer and marge are doing their 8 hrs task. This morning i just sent all of my springfielders for 16hrs task of beer bash last task while lisa isnt free
