Just a little reminder about our Cross Blog Monthly Shout Out contest where we’ve teamed up with TSTO Topix and TSTO game to find out more about YOU!
We want to feature YOU! Your town, your words anything/everything about YOU! Each month we’ll pick a handful of readers across the three blogs to be featured in our Monthly Shout Out, where we’ll feature your town and some fun information about you. Then at the end of the Shout Out we’ll let the TSTO Community vote for their favorite. That winner will be declared our Tapper of the Month! Oh and did we mention the Tapper of the Month wins FREE DONUTS?!

If you’d like to be considered for the Tapper of the Month for April be sure to submit your images and details to TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com by 11:59pm EST on Friday March 21st. So the staffs of Addicts, Topix and game can pick the top 5 and setup voting the following week! Don’t worry…if you don’t submit yours by Friday we’ll hold your submission and you’ll be considered for May’s Tapper of the Month!
So now I wanted to take a moment to address a few questions that have popped up over the last few weeks and give a few more specifics:
I Don’t Know How to Stitch my Town, do I have to send in a full photo?
No. While we prefer stitched photos (so we can see how awesome your FULL town is) they’re not required to enter. You can submit just a few screenshots of your favorite areas of your town (ie your forest area, your squidport, your prison etc).
However, if you’d like to Stitch your images together to create 1 big image of your town we’ve got a post for that! You can check out Bunny and Wookiee’s take on Stitching photos (Android vs. iOS) here.
Remember a stitched photo of your town is great…but not required!
Can I Only Submit Images from my Springfield? Does it have to be building design only?
No. Feel free to send us images from your Springfield OR Krustyland (or both if you can’t decide!). It’s also not limited to building design. Feel free to show off your creativity! Into 2D Art? Send that in! Love designing in 3D? Send that in! Have a really cool waterfall effect you want to showoff? Send it on in!
This is a contest about YOU. The point is to get to know YOU the amazing community of Tappers at Addicts, Topix and game…so really we want to see how you Tap! If it’s more artistic we want to see it…if it’s more city designing show it to us. The only rule for images submissions is it has to be from Tapped Out! (so don’t send us your Candy Crush screenshots 😉 )
What do I need to send in with my images to be considered?
In addition to photos please also send us:
-Your origin ID
-A few sentences about YOU (where you live, what you do for a living, any hobbies etc)
-How long you’ve been playing TSTO
-Why you love TSTO
And
-Why you should be featured in our Monthly Shout Out
That’s it! No fancy stories to write, no complicated questions to answer…just tell us about YOU 🙂
How Do I Share My Images With You?
Don’t worry…we have a post for that! Need help taking screenshots? Check out this post for the variations on iOS, Android and Kindle.
Need help sharing the screenshots you just took? Check out this post for help with dropbox and this post for help with Flickr. You can also share photos via Facebook. Just upload your image to Facebook, right click on the image, select copy image URL and paste that image in your Shout Out email submission!
Note: There is a website out right now that will do a full shot of your town for you, specifically relating to TSTO. HOWEVER, in order to have it done you have to give your Origin ID and Password. This is a direct violation of EA’s Terms. So if you plan to use that site be aware you’ll be violating EA’s Terms and you do so at your own risk.
Will the runners up win prizes? If you’re picked for the Top 5 does that mean you can’t enter again?
No. Only the Tapper of the Month will win the $10 gift card. It’s more that the prize is being the Tapper of the Month and the gift card is just a perk for winning it.
The good news is…if you’re picked for the Top 5 but don’t actually win you can submit your town again for the following month! The only time you can’t submit your town is if you’ve already won Tapper of the month!
I Live Outside of the US, Can I still enter and win?
ABSOLUTELY! This contest is not restricted to the US only. However, we reserve the right to offer a different prize (same value) if we are unable to obtain a gift card for your country.
How old do I have to be to enter?
Unfortunately, because of varying laws across different states and countries about minors and contests we’ve had to limit entry to those 18 and older only! However, if you’re under 18 you can still submit your town (just let us know you’re under 18) and if we like it we’ll still display it for you! We love seeing the creativity of ALL Tappers..not just those 18 and over 🙂
Only $10?! Really?! 3 blogs and you can only come up with a $10 prize?
Keep in mind this isn’t a contest about the prize, it’s a contest to get to know YOU better. The gift card is a bonus awarded to the person crowned the Tapper of the Month. Also keep in mind this is something we plan to do EVERY SINGLE MONTH, which works out to $120/ year, on top of other contests we may run (and to date Addicts has given away over $400 in gift cards and prizes…with A LOT more planned in the coming months). This also allows us to have multiple winners…because after all this is a contest about YOU guys…not how much money we can give away! 🙂

I have missed may’s tapper of the month…I’m actually gonna do it this time (nervous!!) When’s the next deadline so i can try next time?? 😉
For any month we usually like the submissions to be in 4-5 days before the end of the month. So we can go through and pick the top 5 (across 3 blogs…not an easy task when you’ve got 13+ different opinions 😉 ) and put the voting up. Normally voting should be up BEFORE the new month so that the winner can be announced on the first, but with the travelling at the end of April we had to push it back a little bit.
Don’t worry though we’ll make an announcement about a week before the deadline (usually we don’t decide on it until it gets closer). 🙂

Oh my goodness first time ive seen this article/ blog. Its 6:30 pm on March 21st . Looks like I better hurry but my towns not the best right now. I suppose you could say I tap-oodle (my word for doodling with a tapping action. Does that make sence?) too much. So ive been doing alot of moving just to see if it looks better. Im very short on space now..need to cut back some decor. But anywho ill give it a try to enter. If not this month, for sure in April. I better start reading everything daily. My bad. Lol
I have to figure out how to do a screenshot on my Galaxy !!!
