Springfield Showoff: Forgotten Krustyland

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”. Showoff krustyland This week…that sad sad lil Amusement Park that we were all SO excited to get in our games…and then quickly just forgot about it. Little by little, slowly, and agonizingly…EA has given us things here and there to add to it. Recently and FINALLY some more decorations. Pink lovey dovey ones, but something new just the same. So I decided, since my Krustyland is more a wasteland right now, I need inspiration. I am sure MANY readers need inspiration.

So I asked YOU to show me, just what have you done with YOUR Krustyland? How have YOU decorated? Well, here are the results…

2Kate made a cute lil cozy area for her Tunnel of Love.

Lots of really cool designs and ideas. A few I may put to use in MY Krustyland. So thank YOU very much. What did YOU think of the designs? Any favorites? Any suggestions to the creators as to what you think would add to their designs? Sound off in the comments below.

  1. Cool, i didnt know you can put those valentine craps to krustyland 😀 now i know! 😀 whopee!!!! 😀

  2. My Krustyland is hands down the best. Please add me and check it out. gessertj

  3. I’ve noticed that of these, my favourite designs are ones with lots of trees. I’m not sure why, but I think that trees make it seem a lot more diverse and interesting, especially when there are varying types of trees (that is, a combination of light, dark, lime green etc). Anyone else think this, or is it just me?

  4. You know, I was thinking earlier this week when I finally got Stampy, I’ll go ’round and see what everyone has done with their KLs.. Lo and behold, 95% of my neighboreenos have neglected their theme park.. Even the towns that are nice and spiffy have seemingly shrugged off the thought of building a nice Krusty Land.. and here I am thinking of dozens of things to expand upon it *cough, Mt. Splashmore ride(s), The 7Duffs, & the Itchy and Scratchy Land robots cough*..
Anywho, here’s a few of the highlights from my town :

    http://imgur.com/a/Ns1LS

Images 1&2 – okay so this is my “Itchy & Scratchy Land” area (definitely could use an expansion, amiright?? *cough the restaurant & disco from I&SL episode cough*.. but I thought I’d show off that guests can walk through the garden display.. for the few rides I have for it, it’s one of my favorite sections of my whole Tapped Out town..

Images 3 thru 5 – My “Go-Kart” area.. I brainstormed the entrance in image 3 the second I saw we got letters and broken roller coaster cars to play around with.. guests actually walk under the “A” which is a +.. 4 is obviously bumper cars, but whomever knows what I specifically took inspiration from in image 5 is a cool cat and we should be pals..

Image 6 – thanks for the idea for this one guys, I had a huge blank space in this section for lack of stuff they’ve supplied us to mess around with for our KL.. I thought instead of putting up a “screen”, I’d just make it a stage for Krusty to film his show for when he goes on location, a lá the Mt. Splashmore and Kamp Krusty episodes..

Image 7 – “the dump off your kids on the kiddy ride then go make out with your significant other” section.. self explanatory, thanks EA for allowing us to use the VDay stuff here.. hope it’s a sign of things to come..

*phew* finally a soap box to display maybe my favorite part of my whole Springfield.. could be better *cough, Surly, cough*, dang I could use some Vicks vapor rub.. Bunny, would you like to do the honors? =)

  5. Thank you for sharing my KL.
I love seeing what everyone has done!

  6. Thanks again Bunny.
I do think we should be able to move the KL entrance…

  7. Thanks for showing mine bunny 🙂

  8. Thank you for putting mine up!!! I love seeing everyone else’s as well!!! Tapped Out is my own little zen garden! It’s so neat to see all the variations! Always work/play to be done! :p

  9. Congratulations everyone. These are terrific. 🙂

  10. I’m with you, Bunny. All these KLs were wonderful and have motivated me to step up in Krustyland. Great work everyone!

  11. Really cool designs!

  12. Thanks team for showing my little attempt. I love visiting everyone’s towns. Freak, love the Dark Side of the Moon (one of my most favourite chill albums).

    • I like to see any and all designs. Simple to extreme. So many good ideas in each one.

    • Thanks…I have preferred my floyd to be pink since I first heard it in 1977…was from an unforgettable two week stay with a friend who’s brother had his own secret “field” growing in the woods…my outlook on life took an immense change and my eyes were opened to the world my parents didn’t want me to see…and had my first beer as well…lol…I have a piece of glass in my foot to this day from that week!
Thanks Bunny…now let us see what you’re about to do with your clover bushes!!! 😉

  13. Need to spend some time there but it never captured my imagination

  14. CentralCali559

Thanks for showing me off Bunny!! Seeing other peoples KLs has given me some ideas. I’ve been saving me KL tickets in case EA decides to do a massive KL update but I think I’ll spend them on decorations instead. I have over 500,000 tickets just sitting there.

    • Not a problem. I was hoping that it would help inspire people, like me, to make something put of it. 🙂

      • Bunny, are you inspired? I can’t wait to see what YOU come up with! I smell a post. Or a series of posts on the progression of Bunny’s KL. 😉

        EA, we want more options!

      • Well I spent 70,000 tickets and 1.5 hrs adding decorations to my KL. Lol I’m gonna have to re stitch it from scratch.

  15. Six Flags Over Krusty!

  16. Yay! Thanks for showing me off, Bunny! My theater was inspired by Wookie’s post and is really the thing that made me get my KL act together. I went from never visiting to stopping in all the time. Thanks for the shout out Freak! I see that secret message you threw in there! Willemvandev, your park reminds me of a place I used to go as a kid that’s no longer around. So many trees, I love it. There are so many creative tappers out there, I find inspiration in all of your designs!!

  17. Glad to see some people enjoy it. To be honest they could get rid of it all together and it would probably take me a month or two to notice

  18. Sweet. Thanks for including my Krustyland! First time I’ve been in the Showoff. What a way to cap off an awesome 10 days since I hit FP lvl 6.

In 10 days, I’ve gotten 33 donuts. 5 for St Pattys Day, 5 for my 600th go at Sideshow You, 3 for filling my XP bar, and 20 in visiting 100 friends each day for past 10 days: 1, 2, 4, 2, 2, 1, 3, 3, 0, 2 (even the 0 donuts on 300 friend actions on day 9 doesn’t bring me down).

Not only that, but getting $94 per action for 3000 actions over that span has gotten me over a quarter of a million dollars and am almost at $6 million. Ready for whatever level 39 may bring!

Hope the next 10 days for you are as awesome as the past 10 have been for me!

  19. Me like the stitchings!!! You go lekittynoir!!!…and alpine1m…cheers mate!!!
