Simple Town Designs: Cletus’ Farm

Hey there Hoppereenos. Just bouncing in for a few simple ideas of things to do with your town to add a lil design element to them. These are all just a basic “idea” pool. What you actually end up putting into your town is completely up to you.

For this Simple Town Design, I wanted to show a few ideas that I have used for Cletus’ Farm as well as my neighbors.

Cletus' Farm

When you think of a farm, a few items come to mind. Harvest, produce, and animals. Among other things. Here is a basic way to create a farm to look like Cletus’ has a few things growing and blooming, other than Brandine.

All you really need to do is decide just WHAT kind of farm you want. For an example, if you want trees, you can use basic trees in the different shades of green. Or if you have the inventory and/or donuts, you can also make a fruit tree farm. (Even those Valentine Day Trees look a bit like apple trees.) Just decide how big of an area you want to cover and how many trees. Then just place them in lil rows leaving a lil space between each one.

When done, place a fence around the area. I used the Boardwalk Fence as it resembles the fence at Cletus’ closely. I face them out away from the trees all the way around so I can put as many as I can inbetween the two sides.

If you want something that may resemble a few fruits and veggies, just use the different hedges and bushes. Using the same concept as the trees, just start forming groups of one kind.

You can give it a lil extra touch by making a “garden box” out of white or wooden picket fences. Again, face them out all the way around to allow you to be able to fill them with as many items as you can right up to the edges.

Here is one that mixes a lil of everything all in one.

Cletus Farm 5

Here is one I did a while back that had a lot of random items tucked into it. Zoomed out, it looked pretty cool.

Here is another mixed farm. (The pumpkin patches work well.)

This is one of my neighbors farms, daisyjail.

If you want a more “floral” looking farm, you can also use this type of design on the farm that I used to add character to Howard’s Flowers if you didn’t get to purchase Howard’s.

So there you have it. Simple Town Design for a farm. What do you think? Do you have a cool farm you want to show off? Feel free to post it to the comments below or our Flickr page. I love to see what YOU do.

Until Next Time…

  1. Hi. Me again. Lost again. Awhile back I asked how to unfriend someone, reason being when I tried to add on a new friend, the pop-up said, “Your Origin Friends list is full. Please use the Unfriend button to remove a friend and try again”. I don’t know where the Unfriend button is. Is there a simple way to do this without all the convoluted moving from post to post? I got lost trying to figure it all out. I have about 60 friends. How many are allowed? Sorry to keep bugging you about this.

  2. Is it possible to have 2 Cletus Farms?

    • It’s a unique item so no however there are people out there with two. The legitness of their games is definitely questionable.

      • Hmmm, I’m not quite sure I would want a neighbor who uses questionable means to play the game. I think I’ll have to consider whether or not I want them as a neighbor, since I’m already maxed & have several requests still :/

  3. Wow 🙂

My first revamp… no doubt will change alot in future…. it’s now twenty past two IN THE morning…. I’m so addicted…. night tappers and bunny xx

  5. Everyone’s designs are so creative! Bunny, thanks for the positive encouragement 🙂 I keep saying this, but the more designs I see, the more I want to do a complete overhaul. Maybe this time I’ll actually do it LOL

  6. I like all the ideas. Just wondering if people want to divulge the theme to their town. I am working on mine. But I have neither the imagination nor architectural talent that all you others do. I won’t revel my theme because my work is embarrassing.

    • Awwww don’t think like that. Everyone is different. Each town is unique in its own way. 🙂

      Thank you kindly 🙂
Don’t ever be embarrassed about your town. Bunny said it right, that every town is unique. It’s a way to show who you are, or just what you like.
I’m OCD a realist and very much addicted to this game lol.
I’ve redesigned everything several times to make things how I want it. This was a little before I had even found these awesome people here at TSTO…which in return I learned some things here as well.
Be creative, spontaneous and always remember that you can tear it down and rebuilding until you’re happy with it. When I was still acquiring land and constantly changing and moving things around, I’m pretty sure my neighbors thought I was crazy 😀
I just hope and pray we get more land as I’m all out, and there’s a lot more I’d like to do.

I really like those design ideas bunny. Wish I had more room.

My area for the farm is compact, but I think it works well.
The run off from the power plant ensures that the crops as well as the residents of Springfield have a nice healthy glow year round. 😉

  8. I used the pumpkin patches from last halloween in mine. In fact, I added all decoractions that felt hillbillie to me like the beat up car, the backwater brewry and the broken washer and dryer https://www.flickr.com/photos/108259961@N02/13720196984/

  9. Wait, I thought for sure that you were ordering us how to design our Springfields!

  10. Those are awesome!
