Hey there Hoppereenos. An in game update hit, and sadly… so did the usual hiccups/glitches. So I am here to help all I can with the issues.
First off pretty much ANY time you get a glitch in your game, the go to is the basic troubleshooting steps. I outline them in my post HERE. Feel free to use it at anytime.
So here is the main report/issue I am seeing. The newer players that did not have the chance to get the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop and Maude during Halloween now have it with the new tie-in update. So just how do you get them? Well first off, you need to complete the first part of Homer’s questline to unlock the ability to buy the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop for 25 donuts. (FRAKKIN SWEET COST!!) See the new update for the new/corrected price now…150 donuts here.
Once the purchase is made, you should be able to go to your inventory/storage area (that cute lil cardboard box on the bottom left corner of your screen when you go into the menus). Once in there just scroll through and you should see the TWO items listed completely separate in your inventory. Then it is just a matter of placing them into your game.
It is somewhere around this point that it seems one or both go missing. So I would say to try those basic troubleshooting steps to see if it helps bring them back into the game. If all else fails, contact EA so you get a report on file and they are alerted to a possible wide spread issue as well as helping you resolve it as fast as they can.
UPDATE:
Just hopping back in for a quick lil blurb, for those of you that ONLY received the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop in the past and now just have Maude to purchase for 90 donuts instead, I would suggest to contact EA. I say this due to they respond to the players and make changes varying on our comments back to them. If enough players reach out to them, maybe they will make a change in our favor. Worth a try anyway, right? 🙂

Hi: Can’t find where I posted it yesterday, but I mentioned that I had purchased the Gypsy shop so long ago (early, around Christmas, when I was first introduced to the game). Yesterday, Maude appeared and the conversation with Homer took place. It cost me nothing to acquire her. Today, she warned to pick up Homer’s grave that was placed in my inventory, but must be picked up by Saturday. This didn’t cost me anything either. Am I the only one having this experience?
If you already had Maude from Halloween 2013, the dialog just continued right along. No worries.
As far as the graves, they are part of the episode tie-in. As for her dialog, with any tie in Episode there is an expiration date…so you do need to get all the graves collected by midnight on Saturday or you won’t be able to get anymore after that.
I feel that this is the price ALL returning content should be (if they become premium) anyone agree with me? I mean the Howards Flowers (70) and Phineas Q. Butterfats (80) were highly overpriced for a practically free item you received the year before, ridiculus! (of course i bouht them both I have an obsession of owning all limited time builds! XD)
I agree. I thought 25 donuts was low but then I thought maybe EA is giving players a break because it was free at Halloween. We’ll see if they change it back after many Tappers complain!
In my game Maude and the Gypsy building combo costs 150 donuts! Is this a glitch, or the 25 donuts price was the glitch?

Yah…that caught their “oops” really quick on that. We were shocked it was only 25. A great price for a combo. Best ever yet. The files confirmed it. Now…files updated and new price reflected. Some people got a steal of a deal. Sorry

It may be worth a try to contact EA on this one. See if there is something they can do. Like take the shop out of your game so you can get both at the discounted cost? Worst they can say is no, right? 🙂

My problem was simply that I didn’t expect her to be a separate item in my inventory. Once I figured that out she activated without a problems.
It is ok, a lot of people didn’t. I am just glad it is working as it should. 🙂
