So with the “Days of Future Future” Episode Tie-In EA also gave us a 7th Social Currency Event Prize…the Capital City Goofball! So now my friends let’s break down this 7th…and final for now (at least until EA decides to add more)… Friendship Prize. Just want to remind you all with this update it’s important to remember to SLOW DOWN. There’s no rush to get the FP’s, so take your time and enjoy it! 🙂
Anywho…the Goofball is unlocked once you’ve unlocked E.A.R.L AND earned an additional 3,000FP…so many of you should be unlocking it sometime in the next few days (depending on how many friends you have). So what happens when you unlock this mascot? Does it do anything? Or does it just roam your town? Well let’s answer all of your questions by taking a closer look at the Capital City Goofball…
Once you’ve completed Friendship Level 6 and earned an additional 3,000 FP you’ll unlock the Goofball and you’ll see this message popup:
You can also unlock this via Donuts at a rush rate of 6 FP/donut. So for every 6 friend points you need…it’ll cost you 1 donut. So 500 donuts if you need all 3,000FP, 200 donuts if you need 1,200FP and so on.
Once you return to your Springfield you’ll find the Goofball in your Inventory. It’s a new character for your Springfield, and once you add it to your town you’ll see the character unlock message appear:
The Goofball is a Non-Playable Character (NPC) that will roam around your Springfield. He starts his own character set (mascots) and completes the set:
While it is an NPC it does have animation when tapped (he jumps up and acts like…well…a mascot).
Now that you’ve completed Level 7 and gotten your last Friendship prize, what’s next? Well it’s onto Level 8. What does that mean exactly? Basically the same thing it meant before only a level higher. You won’t accumulate more points (no FPs will pop out of buildings when you visit friends, or when you clean spray paint in your town) instead EA has come up with a different way to encourage you to keep visiting your friends:
Yes, that says TRIPLE the money. Which means…you’ll earn $90 per friend interaction when visiting neighbors, or $270/neighbor. Talk about a good way to earn some extra $$$. If you have 100 neighbors that’s $27,000/day you can earn JUST from visiting your friends! Pretty sweet huh? Before you know it that World’s Largest Zirconia will be all yours!

I’ve been getting 107$ per action since I got to level 8. And I was getting 100$ when I was maxed out at level 7. (Before they brought in CCG). Am I the only one?
You know I haven’t actually calculated it, but I will take a look at it now and see what I’m getting.
The goofball is a fun addition but I am looking forward to earning a free donut or three. Is anyone else finding deleted friends showing up in their town? Don’t mind too much since it means extra money but it can be challenging to keep my brown houses open for my 100 friends (plus the extra visitors). I’ve rebooted several times and have decided if I have to have a glitch at least it has a positive impact. Just wondering?

I’m glad another prize has been added and look forward to seeing his/her rotundness roaming around my town – my projection is possibly by tomorrow evening, but no later than Sunday night. It’s yet another character that will give me fond memories of watching the show religiously which I don’t get to do these days (no TV made whatsherbutt go something something quite some time ago…).
I’m also VERY much looking forward to reaching friend level 8 simply because I was making a lot of money for a few days before the latest update hit, along with the odd donut or 3…I know I’ll have a couple of buildings that’ll be prompted in the not-too-distant future so I need the money! 😀
My Friendship points are not showing on the point bar. Any suggestions on how I can get them to show up? I rebooted, signed out, put the game in the cloud… No luck!
Could be a glitch again. If you have a vandalism/spray paint on your buildings…do you still see the lil mini FP bar up at the top center when you collect on them?
If not, you may need to contact EA if all other troubleshooting has failed

Woohoo!!! Less than 800 to go!!! Now if EA will stop kicking me out…why let us have 99 friends but bump you out after 96? Not complaining…got the den to myself, son gone to his mom’s, got to hug my daughter(highlight of my day)…microwave burritos and a pan of brownies for tonight…you other people with real lives just shut up!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

What other mascots could they add in the future?
Just off the top of my head… Burly, Cigi, Mama Celeste, Duff McShark, Spiderpig and Springy.
Anybody else not seeing the Capital City Goofball in their town once he’s unlocked? I just unlocked him and it shows that “all prizes are unlocked” but I can’t find him anywhere. I did notice that he’s greyed out in the character section though. I logged out and then back in but he’s still MIA. Wasn’t sure if this is a known glitch??
Did you double check your inventory? (The Lil brown cardboard box) You need to actually place him in your game first. 😛
Capital City Goofball will be a sweet addition to our Springfields. I should have him by tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Now they just need to bring a new costume for Homer; the Dancin’ Homer costume! They could add a task for Dancin’ Homer that involves the Capital City Goofball.
