How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening? How was your weekend? Do anything fun? Anyone else having AWESOME weather this weekend? (A pleasant change from all that cold and snow here on the east coast!)
Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No it’s not time to pick the cheetos out of Wookie’s fur (although we probably should get to that soon!) Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread! (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.
So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread. The Simpsons are all new tonight AND we had an episode tie-in update hit our games, what will happen in the new episode? How will the tie-in items come into play? Will there be a reason for all of Homer’s graves? Watch them along with us and find out! We had rumors of a little Easter update that might be hopping into our games this week! (see what I did there 😉 ) What do YOU think it might contain? Do you think we’ll be able to contain Bunny’s excitement over the update? The Yankees and RedSox are ESPN’s Sunday Night game of the week…will you be checking it out?

I started watching Breaking Bad on Friday! Really great show I’m on the 4th episode. Anyone else seen it?

C’mon Easter update. I’d love to have new flowers for landscaping! Any new decorations to liven up the town.

Single colors would be great. I’m sure we would see some really awesome designs from fellow Tappers. I wish the cool brown house would make another appearance too. I’ve only been a tapper since January 2014 and would really like to have it in my Springfield.

Does anyone else wish that both buildings and decorations could move on a 270 degree rotation? It’s REALLY annoying that they can’t (Grrrrrr!)

I’d settle for a 180…there’s no frikkn degree symbol…we’re only getting 45 and 90 degree pivots as it is…at least close to those numbers…

That drives me crazy! Sometimes it highlights some random decoration that is now where near the item I tapped. With those little teeny flowers and shrubs I sometimes have to tap 10 times before it finally picks the right item.
Ugh! Even a stylus isn’t helping my taps select the correct item. I am taking forever to redecorate my town. I’m sick, so I’m going slower anyway. Don’t try to cough and tap.
Hope you get better in time for the big Easter egg…thingy…your is looking great imodat!!! I gotta figure out something to do with a couple of dumpsters… 😉

omg YES! that’s prob the most frustrating thing to me, and why I don’t often move things around. I was wondering about the stylus, Imodat. I guess that’s my answer, a no!
I have to use a stylus cause I can’t see through my finger…does anybody else’s stylus wear out??? When new it “glides” against the screen, but now it’s like high-traction…it grips the screen and leaves a trail…(joke setup right there) 🙂

ODL yes, I hate when you tap on something and it chooses another thing, then you tap again… and on & on. I have found it saves time if I know I’m going to be moving the wrong item chosen, (fence, hedge), that if I put it into storage, then use it when I need it.
Could at least let me rotate my parking spaces.

I can’t reply to your post with Homers drivers license showing ‘any 12 1953 as his D.O.B.. However, I found where it says Homer was born May 10 1955. Season 2, Episode 2. It’s on Homers insurance form from when he got the minoxidil.
Speaking of which, how sweet a task would that be, “Homer applies minoxidil”, at the end of the task he has a full set of hair.

Yeah… I guess I’m one of the Driver’s License is finite proof kinda guys. I’ve seen March too. Typical Homer not knowing the right month or day. I wish it was the 16th but that’s just my ego lol. In 16 days after Stampy maxing out FP lvl 5, I got 32 donuts and only had 2 days with 0 donuts (day 9 and day 12).
In 7 days after E.A.R.L. Maxing out FP lvl 6, I got 12 donuts and only had 1 day with 0 donuts (day 5 of 7, or day 21 if you include previous 16).
But now, I got Capital City Goofball 45 actions into yesterday’s visits and maxed out FP level 7. I had 255 actions yesterday and just now completed my full 300 actions for the day and for the first time ever have gotten back-to-back goose eggs 🙁
I know Freakenstein managed to get some free donuts yesterday visiting neighbours (in addition to the 3 he got for completing level 39 again). How about the rest of you? Is anybody else getting free donuts post-Goofball? Any of you sharing my Gil luck? Or are you guys like Kent Brockman winning the lottery?

Like you, I have also noticed a drop in the number of free doughnuts since getting Capital City Goofball. I got one yesterday, but completed nearly 1,000 actions before I got it (boo hoo!)
I guess with the impending event that’s due, EA want us gamers to buy them, and therefore don’t want to give too many of them away…hmmm…..
I dunno about that. For me, since the very first event I have yet to earn a single donut from visiting neighbors after I’ve collected all of the prizes. I think it’s completely random and runs in streaks 🙂
Alissa, that makes me feel better, I’m not the only one with no luck finding donuts. This will be the last time I whine about it, promise!

True, I’ve scored 44 free donuts visiting neighbour’s since completing FP level 5 on March 12th. Over the same past month, I also got 5 for Side Show You’s 600th visit, 5 for St Patricks Day, 9 for three completions of the level 38 XP bar, 2 for leveling up to level 39, and an additional 3 for completing level 39 XP bar. I’ve gone from 75 donuts on March 12th to 143 by April 12th and have enough to buy my first premium building if I want.
But to paraphrase Homer: In TSTO, first you get the donuts, then you get the power, then you get the premium women!
Which is why the back-to-back goose eggs is disappointing.

I did get free donuts from 1 particular neighbor 2 days in a row since maxing out. Thought that was weird.
Since unlock Goofball two nights ago ….. I’ve been on the hunt for donuts ….. Must say I’m a little bummed out ? Ziltch, Nodda, big fat goose egg. Anyone else have any luck??

I’m in the same boat as you Mazda. Was actually writing my post along the same lines (one right above this) while yours was probably awaiting moderation. I keep wishing for something round with a hole in the middle, and instead of donuts, I get 0. 0 is technically not round, it’s oval. Not fair.
At least I’m not alone in the back-to-back goose eggs club though. But just being in the club is not important. What really matters is my title. I think I’ll make myself… vice president. No, wait! Junior vice president!
That Lord Of The Flies episode was another awesome one that is often in my Top Ten episodes list. Forget the kids on the island in the main story, the secondary Homer story was awesome too.

I was another tsto fansite and it showed a conversation with a user and an EA rep. that said the Easter update will come on Wednsday I hope it comes tomorrow and not Wednsday!
We are all friends with that site but can’t confirm what was said. I certainly hope it’s true. Jebus knows Bunny will be even more excited when it’s an actuality. That same convo mentioned WD was still a possibility. We shall all know for sure soon, right?
True true when i saw it was easter and not whacking day i was mad bc my best played last year when whacking was going on i started play during christmas liked that and i was hooked then read that whacking day might still come cant wait (and the new episode was awesome btw love the future type episodes in shows)
Sadly…it is impossible to confirm what a “rep” says as actual data. The reps are actually NOT supposed to tell when an event is happening. Big no no.
I know something BIG is coming. Just keep your eyes peeled. Even if a set date was offered up to us, I still wouldn’t go by it. There are too many possibilities that it still can get moved. Especially if there are any issues with the event. Like if a glitch or bug is noticed when they test it, they will pull the release until it is fixed.
There is a lot of activity right now in the files. I see a lot of specific files being targeted that I am noticing with specific items, but I do not want to get everyone’s hopes up…so until I see that nice huge chunk of code drop in the server with a set release date and end date…I will wait and watch and keep my paws crossed. 😉
I just read some snippets of tonight’s episode (on a different TSTOpage) and almost sad I missed it. I said almost… I was having a decadent bowl of ramen *AAARRRRLLLGHHH!!!*

There are so many things from tonight’s episode, even last weeks, that id love to see in the game! The developers could do way more episode tie ins or just character/buildings/decorations in general that would be way cool!

Brother, there’s so many of us who feel your pain. My first ex abandoned my daughter and my two marriages didn’t end well at all. My kids are amazing though so I concentrate on that.

The CremoBot debuted in Tonight’s episode, so there’s no WDTCF on it (since it came from tonight’s episode). Bunny will have a full recap on the episode a little later tonight.
As far as in game, if it does anything…it basically just as minor animation to it. You can check out the should I buy post here to find out more. 🙂
I spent a nice Sunday afternoon watching the four Mona Simpson episodes: Mother Simpson (7), My Mother the Carjacker (15), Mona Leaves-A (19), and How I Wet Your Mother (23). Now I really want her in my game. I’m wondering why the demand for Sideshow Bob is bigger than the demand for Mona, because they’ve both been the focus of some of the best episodes of the show.

If I’m not mistaken, Homer Simpson’s birthday is also May 10th, either in an episode or on my trading cards. I recall this because May 10th is my moms birthday and she can’t stand The Simpsons or the fact that I’ve watched every new episode every Sunday night for the past 19 years (I was not allowed to watch it before that as I was “too young” for such “mature” content) and she hates that my room in her house is a shrine to Wayne Gretzky, The Simpsons and Batman. But to her credit, she hasn’t throw out any of my things even though I don’t live there 🙂
IMDB say May 12th. If I’ve ever known it, I’ve forgotten. My mom tried to censor my viewing as well but I still caught more episodes than she knew. Funny thing is she watches with me now, laughs AND plays the game. Your shrine sounds good. Mine was punk rock, Simpsons and Star Wars but she put it all in storage lol.

Firstly, (I will probably get lynched after this) up until three weeks ago I had never seen The Simpsons on TV but have been playing for 10 months now! Will I get to experience whacking day? I wanted to ask Bunny & Co which is your least favourite character in tapped out?
Bunny and Co? I know who your fave is lol. I’m a fluffy cotton tail fan too so no worries. No worries on not seeing the show. Kinda jealous because there is so much amazingness you get to see for the first time ever. As for least fave… that’s a hard one. In TSTO, not the biggest fan of Shauna. Glad I got her but her risque behavior leaves much to be desired.
I don’t like Shauna’s tasks. Lisa needs a “teach Shauna self respect” task someday & no abusing ducks! 🙂
