Basket Glitch

UPDATE FROM BUNNY 4-22-14 3PM EST: 
I was on the phone with EA for a while asking a million questions. They are all on high alert with the Basket issues, egg issues, etc. They have been working round the clock to locate and fix the cause of the issues and to get an update to resolve it out as fast as they can. No word yet on the Updates day of release, just that this is priority there right now as it is impacting so many and preventing game play.

So in short, hang in there…they are working on it. No word as of yet if this will bring a time extension or how they will handle that part of it. I will let you know if I hear anything more on the matter. And of course we will be here to let you know when the update arrives.  

 

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

A few of you are reporting problems with your Easter Baskets…you put them out for friends to leave you eggs and they do…but not long after to start to notice the eggs have disappeared!

If this is happening to you, don’t panic.  This is a KNOWN glitch in the game and EA is currently working on fixing it.  We are suggesting if you’re having problems with your baskets that you post your info on this thread from the EA website:

We also suggest that you contact EA directly to let them know you’re having the issue.  One of our readers inkans is having the same issue and contacted EA.  They left this in the comments:

Alissa – I chatted with EA about the disappearing eggs from the baskets. They are aware of the issue and are working on a fix for it: Thanks for the tip to contact them!

EA:
I checked this information from our end and found that some of the customers have already reported this issue. Our developers are aware of it and are working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience while the issue is being looked into.
Me:
OK, thanks for letting me know. Will the 500 missing eggs be restored at some point?
EA:
Yes, once this issue fixed, you will receive your missing eggs.

So there you have it Tappers…if you’re experiencing the basket glitch let EA know so they can work to restore your game.

UPDATE FROM BUNNY: Seems people are also missing the “Thank You” Screen in their neighbor towns as they tap on through (Freak Glitch.Lol). Another “known” issue that EA has reports on. My suggestion is to contact them. I did not see a thread in the help desk forum as of yet, your are always welcome to start one. The same advisors that help you via chat and email are on the help forum too.

  1. I haven’t received an egg basket from a bunny for weeks. Is anyone else having this problem? Because it’s really slowing down my egg earning.

    I posted on the EA board about the baskets disappearing and was happy to get something back. Not sure if it was the update or because I posted.

    My big frustration now is the lack of baskets from the bunnies you mentioned. I thought maybe I was just being unlucky, but I play every day and haven’t gotten a basket from the bunnies in at least a week. Is th is a “known” issue? Am I better off calling or emailing EA or is posting on their board enough? I also think there is no way I can earn all the prizes with such little time left and no baskets…. 😦

    • The board should be ok. You can try to start a chat or email thread, but most likely they’ll refer you to the message board.
      I completely agree…the baskets are an essential part of running this update properly. When they glitch it’s really difficult to play it correctly.

    Wow, was just pleasantly shocked be EA customer service. Early in the event they had gifted me some eggs and removed my glitchy baskets. Yesterday they sent me a note asking how I felt about the services I received for my issue. I informed them that I was pleased with the service but still was slightly disappointed by the event itself. I indicated that since my issue was handled I had received no baskets from bunnies. I informed them that I didn’t know if this was a glitch or I have just been that unlucky ( I received six glitchy baskets at the start of the event and none since. EA said that they were sorry to hear that and asked me to tell them what I was missing. I informed them that this is hard to equate given all the randomness associated with the event. However. I voiced my concern that at this juncture I didn’t feel I would be able to collect enough eggs to hav enough attempts to ensure winning Shary Bobbins, even though I am a daily player. What happened next surprised the neck out of me I thought at most they would give me a few eggs for my troubles but that did not happen, instead they put Shary Bobbins in my inventory with there apologies for all my troubles during this event!!!!!!

    To make my day better my.next gold box spin offered up Fr. Sean.

  4. Thank you for your kind comments, Wookie and HandsomeHank. Feeling understood helped me to shake my negative attitude. That and last night’ so awesome Lego episode; loved it! Also, I received a blue basket, my non-dominant color, this morning and someone put an egg in it so I know it is working!

    Sorry to hear of your troubles with EA customer service, Hank. I may not have heard back from them, but at least they addressed the problem and didn’t insult me in the process! That is not cool.

  5. I love this site and all that you do here, but I have to vent somewhere, and I know you guys will understand. I love this game, but I am so frustrated by this Easter event! I have been playing faithfully multiple times a day since it started, and I have received the Blocko store, which I love, but other than that it has been an extremely time-consuming process for very little in return. I had the original basket glitch and contacted EA. At some point, I think that cleared up as I think I received my missing eggs. So I put out one new basket and received one egg in that basket and two in one of my original baskets right away, then nothing in either for over a week now. I don’t know whether they are working. Also, I have only received six or seven baskets total since the event started – one in my non-dominant color and five or six in my dominant color all received the first day of the event. Nothing since then! Most of my neighbors no longer have baskets out to contribute to, and many seem to have stopped clearing their towns. This is becoming no fun at all. Today after 40 minutes of tapping added to yesterday’s taps, I was able to open up two blue baskets for fences and a pond. I have enough fences to suck, but not enough to win donuts for sucking. Add to this after faithfully playing the Valentines event every day, I never earned the Tunnel of Love, which I really wanted. But I found it in the Krustyland of many of my neighbors, some of whom don’t play much but got lucky. Happy for them but not so happy for me. At least I won all of the other Valentine’s event items. Now I realize I will not win most of the Easter event items and it is depressing. I really hope this isn’t the permanent direction the company is taking the game because events are no longer fun if you hold up your end of the deal by doing what they ask day after day only to see an event end without earning most of the rewards. Sorry to be a downer, as this is not my usual disposition, but as you can see I’m very frustrated here. Would like to end by thanking you for an awesome site that I thoroughly enjoy reading!

    • Completely understand your frustration and seriously hope EA pays attention to all the comments from tappers during this event. It’s no fun to see people I like going through all sorts of glitches and disappointments. Forget that my own freemium journey has been stinky in the prize department. We’re always here for our favorite tappers and I appreciate you expressing yourself without resorting to profanity. I seriously hope your luck turns.

        Wow I hear your pain! Nice to know I’m not loosing my mind, when I finally heard from EA, after trying to get solution to Easter glitches, the specialist told me there are no problems with Easter event! Implie I need to Learn how to play game.
        I think through whole event have received 4 baskets.
        I too play several times a day and yes very frustrating when neighbors can’t even clear their towns especially during an event. Feel like my hands are tied behind my back!
        Thank you addicts for letting us tappers have a safe & honest place to vent! You must be kindred spirits to put up with the complaining wish EA would listen. I think most of us will be happy (&sad) when event is over. What a shame it could have been so fun!
