Easter has arrived in Springfield! And with the Easter event finally comes one of the most requested characters in TSTO history….Eleanor Abernathy…better known as the Crazy Cat Lady. While many of the Easter items are limited-time, the Crazy Cat Lady is not. However, she is a new premium addition & is one of the few characters with a temporary task to earn eggs.
Now,I’m sure you’re asking ‘Should I Spend Donuts on This?’ Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this lunatic to YOUR Springfield!
Building: Crazy Cat Lady’s House
Character: Eleanor Abernathy aka Crazy Cat Lady
Donut Price: 180 donuts
Dimensions: 7×4
Payout: $500,45xp Every 24hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Indolence +10
Pros:
-Comes with a quest line
-Premium character earns 50% more on all cash and xp than a freemium character
-One of the few characters that has a task that earns Easter Eggs (throw Bunnies, earns 70 eggs (dominant color), every 24hrs)
-Another female character for Springfield
-Another house, different look, to add to your residential section of Springfield
-Hilarious outside tasks, including throwing Bunnies!
Cons:
-Pricey. 180 donuts is on par with other character/building combos and certainly not the highest (Disco Stu and Duffman are among those that are higher), but still 180 donuts is pricey for a character/house combo.
-No character interaction after initial questline is complete
-Only two tasks are visible (outside)
-Not voiced.
Final Thought:
Personally, if you have the donuts to spend, I say go for it. CCL is one of the most requested characters in TSTO history and she’s FINALLY here! Not only that but she does have an extra task that will earn you more eggs during the Easter Event!
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you CCL was a purchase I made right away, and she’s been throwing bunnies in my town ever since! However, this is NOT a Limited-Time Item so take your time with your thought process (although the egg earning task IS Limited-Time). Eleanor will still be there in a few weeks. So if you’re on the fence or worried about saving up your donuts relax..there’s no rush to get her.

My co-worker had a neighbour with a cat named Cock-a-doodle-do. Every morning the neighbour would go out on her front porch and call the cat. I thought my co-worker was joking until they needed a ride to work early one morning and I heard it for myself.
My best friend’s kids named their dog “Timber” for a similar reason…they thought it was funny to be calling out “Timberrr” to call the dog in.
They actually have three outdoor tasks, you forgot to list my personal favorite – bowl with a cat. (Perhaps it was added later)
That task became available with the Tap Ball Event so some people don’t have it.
I’m not sure I would want to live in a Springfield where the Crazy Cat Lady didn’t bowl a cat.
Anyone notice that this page says CCL is 180 donuts but on the premium guide page where you can click on the image it says it’s 150 donuts?
They may have lowered her price…
How can this particular character not be voiced?!? Her incoherent babbling is one of the most distinctive, funny things about her (besides the cats, of course)! I’ve been pining after her for a while, but now I’m not quite as sure how badly I want her (though she still might be worth it for the visuals…).
Unfortunately none of Tress MacNeille’s characters are voiced. Must be some sort of contract thing.

Yes, she’s awesome! But I’d wait at this point. Halloween is just around the corner and you don’t know if there’s something there you’ll want with limited-time to get. Crazy Cat Lady will still be around after Halloween 🙂
First thing I bought when Easter update launched. Although I’m more of a dog person…….who doesn’t love a crazy, mumbling, cat throwing Lady. Lol

She’s great! I had to give in and purchase some donuts for her. Totally worth it! And her quest line was funny too.
So I went with the Cat Lady. Loved her from the moment since she was in the episode with Lisa’s answer to Bart’s People all those years ago (1998).

I was more excited of having another house for the “poor” section of town. Bought her specifically so I could redesign my residential areas , and earning extra eggs is a huge bonus 🙂

Any of you ever known a “cat lady”? Well, I’ve done apartment maintenance for…about 22 years…seen it all…but one lady had …I’ll stop there…sooo…I got the Puppy Store!!!
There is a lady who lives at the end of my street, and apart from having LOTS of cats, I don’t think I am aloud to tell you anything else she does.

We had a women down the street from us called the cat women. House in total shambles everything was overgrown and cats Everywhere! When we were kids we would run past her house because we were afraid. One day she was just sitting on her porch stark naked, and she looked a lot like the Crazy Cat Lady in the game. I’d love to have you as a neighbor if you have some room. I need to clear out a couple of neighbors that don’t playa too often.
I described what I found in my catlady’s apartment but someone edited the gory part out…it was bad…

I bought her right at the start of the event. I have a little stock pile of donuts for any new premium characters that come along. Since I regret not getting Brandine I did not want to miss out on CCL. Besides the extra bunnies seemed to make her worth it.
Yep I got her right away. I don’t spend donuts often, but Crazy Cat Lady is great and purrfect for me. I didn’t realize she was going to be here long term but I still don’t regret it as she has been throwing bunnies and earning eggs since day 2 of the event.
I also got her the second I saw her. I actually spend donuts on anything that can’t be won for free. However I particularly like Eleanor, her house and her CATS 😉
