From the Mouths of Addicts: A Conversation with Archheretic1

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out!  This week’s post is all about one of our Tappers of the Month for May Archheretic1!

Back on May 4th we announced the TSTO Communities of Topix, Addicts & game voted two winners Archheretic1 and Kays_xo as the Tappers of the Month during our monthly Shout Out!  As part of the Tapper of the Month we interviewed both Archheretic and Kays to get a better feel for why they created their Springfields the way they did and some advice they might have for other Tappers when it comes to design.  First up is our conversation with Arch…

So without further ado let’s see what he had to say! The basics:

Origin ID: Archheretic1
A little more about AH:
Hi I’m Jason from Romeoville, IL. I’ve been playing Tapped Out on iOS since the first Halloween update. My pic is my tribute to Game of Thrones. This is the North Wall made of ice with a House Stark sigil of a Direwolf next to a weirwood tree. Thanks!

Q & A With AH:
Addicts: What are your favorite decorations to use and why?
Archheretic1: I don’t have a favorite but if I had to narrow it down it would be the snowmen family of the Simpsons characters that the family built in the episode when Bart got caught stealing Bonestorm at Try N Save. My absolute most hated decoration would have to be Easter fences. I want to punch the developer whoever created this decoration.
A: How long did it take you to do the 2D design in your town?
AHI’m not sure because I kept making adjustments so I would have to say maybe 2 hours total. The wall took the longest. And I did get the 8500 decorations warning many times throughout this process. Oh well, it was worth it…I think.
A: What was your inspiration for your design?
AHMy wife and I are big Game of Thrones fans and I thought it would be relevant with the show being really popular now to pay homage to it. Valar morghulis
A: What brought you to our silly lil site?
AHI’m always checking your site for new info about the game or explanations of new releases and updates.
A: What keeps you sticking around our silly lil site?
AH: I would have to say the Shout Out feature, obviously.
A: What do you like best about each Addicts Team Member (Alissa, Bunny, Wookiee)?
AHI would have to say it’s comforting to know that other people enjoy the little quirks about this game. I get a lot of hassle from family and friends for playing so it’s nice to see there’s other addicts in the world.
A: What will buy with your donuts?
AHMy daughter’s birthday is actually on Friday so I’m going to buy her something in iTunes. Playing the role of responsible Dad for once.
A: What made you decide to enter into the Shout Out competition?
AHI saw other people in their towns making little designs with their decorations and was inspired to do the same. The game gets a little boring after a while and this whole process brings a whole new level of gameplay to the table.
A: What suggestions would you give to other TSTO Addicts of how to manage/design their towns?
AH Don’t ask me. Ask the other winner, Kays_XO. That user knows how to manage their town amazingly. They should have been the sole winner in this contest. Their town was well thought out, hats off to them.
A: What is your Favorite in game Character? Building? Decoration? …and why?
AHI would have to say the Itchy and Scratchy ticket scratching in the Quik E Mart. I really wish they add more mini games in Tapped Out. It keeps the game from getting too stale.
A: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
AH: Please go to and Like my band page. Metal from Illinois. And please follow me on Twitter, @ArchHeretic1

  1. I didnt get a SINGLE basket between finishing the main easter quest and finding the faberge egg. It popped out two days ago and I’ve got one basket since then. Very weird.

  2. Busybuthappy

I got one basket a day during the quest but have not gotten a single basket since it ended

  3. I like this site almost perfectly for what it is, but there is an astounding amount of pro-hockey-teams-other-than-the-bruins propaganda! It’s almost too much to handle.

  4. does anyone else have a surplus of baskets?

    • OliviaLaTrivia

What?! I’m lucky if I get a basket every other day. I feel EA has been stingy with baskets the last few weeks.

      • I’ve got 10 of each in storage, but mainly because they don’t fill quickly, or I’m having the glitch, everyday I get several neighbors visit and I’ll see 1 or 2 eggs in the basket then suddenly all will be full. Kind of wish afterwards we can keep the excessive they’d make great deco

I agree, before finishing the main quest line I got a basket almost everyday, somedays I got two! But now for some reason I am lucky to get one a day:(
