Looks like we got ourselves a little in-game update going on…
Milhouse kicks it off…
Looks like this is an episode-tie in my friends. For this Sunday’s Season Finale of The Simpsons! (Yellow Badge of Cowardage).
UPDATE: Ok so it looks like, from the files anyway, they attempted to fix the lagging issue (the file is a “hotfix”. Some are reporting their games are still lagging. On my Tablet, at least, i’m not noticing the lag anymore. BUT I will check out my phone and iPad here shortly.
For those that were locked out, can you get in now? Or are you still getting the spinning donut of death?
Note on Friendship Points: It looks like they’re not working (as in I’m not being awarded any at the moment). BEST thing to do in this situation…is contact EA, using the same methods in the Lag post. The more people that let them know there’s an issue the more they’ll be on it. I will be contacting them myself here shortly…..

As I said above Milhouse kicks it off with some dialogue and then a 6hr task…here are the details for the initial in-game dialogue:

Milhouse starts
Milhouse: *sigh*
Homer: Hey, it’s what’s-his-name….Glasses McBluehair?
Milhouse: No, Mr. Simpson. My name is–
Homer: Wait, don’t tell me! I totally know you — you’re Lisa’s boyfriend, or girlfriend, or something. Uhhh….Martin?
Milhouse: No, close though.
Homer: Okay, think, Homer. Not Nelson, because he’s cool. God, I wish I was Nelson. Okay, gotta focus….close to Martin…Comic Book Guy?
Milhouse: That’s not a good guess at all.
Homer: Principal Skinner? Duffman? Lard Lad? The Kwik-E-Mart?
Milhouse: My last name is Van Houten.
Homer: ….
Are you sure I know you?
Milhouse: *sigh*
Lenny: Hey Homer! Whatcha doin’?
Homer: Just messing with Milhouse to cheer him up. He seemed kind of down.
Carl: Sorry to hear that. What’s up kid? Did future Lisa future divorce future you again?
Milhouse: No, field day is coming up at school and I’ve already go a closet full of last-place trophies in one of those. I don’t know what to do
Lenny: You could rent a storage unit!
Carl: Yea, I bet you could fit a crapload of last-place trophies in one of those.
Lenny: It’s fun solving people’s problems!
Homer: I think Milhouse actually wants to NOT lose.
Lenny: Oh, like win? That’s super-hard.
Carl: I’d seriously give the storage unit some thought.
Homer: Come on, guys – let’s help him win!
Milhouse: Do you guys actually know anything about fitness?
Homer: I know “feel the burn” is a thing. And there’s something called cardio, which is either good or bad. Also electrolytes, maybe?
Carl: Listen to Professor Jack Lalanne over here!
Milhouse: Maybe I should just look up fitness on the internet.
Carl: The inter-what-now?
Milhouse: The internet. It’s where I learned about the civil war, dinosaurs, my parent’s getting divorce, my parents getting back together…the tidal wave approaching Springfield, the assassination of Trotsky–
Homer: They assassinated Trotsky?!
Lenny: There were dinosaurs?!
Milhouse: I’m going to go do an internet search for “rock-hard male bodies”
Carl: Just make sure safe search is on with that one.

Keep Homer available for Part 2 as he kicks it off, then Milhouse does the 4hr task that will result in the pop up to get his new skin. Once placed on, he will start Part 3 for 12hrs.

When I read some of the comments, all I can think is…I commend you guys for keeping your cool when people constantly assume you’re EA tech support. I would have banged my head on the keyboard ages ago.
It’s easy… put giant foam panel on wall for the head banging.
For a change of subject, I got the Macaroni Shed.. I thought at first it was like a Marconi Radio shed, but instead to my surprise, I clicked it and heard and saw it has a horse in it, so I put it by my racetrack.
I don’t know if there are any quests involved for it though.
But I like it and it gives you .75% to Money XP and all jobs.
I still cant even get in to the game and EA has yet to get back to me, im going through withdrawals, maybe its a sign I should stop playing and find something else to kill time.
Deep breaths… maybe watch the show instead for your fix?

Is anyone else having issues visiting? I’m not even sure if I’m getting fp or not since I keep getting kicked out of the game when I try to go from one neighbor to another
There is issue with both. A thread was started in the EA forums from one of our readers. I alerted EA too when I spoke to them earlier. Please use the link in the post below and add your name to the thread. The more voices…the higher the priority.

No FP and super lag for me too. EA knows. But also wanted to mention Dolph has/might have a new 8hr task to like kerney’s video. Granted it says error in the description so its probably a bug. I don’t own kerney so can’t verify.
That is from the dialog for Miss Hoover. You have to like the video they made of her. It won’t unlock until you get to that part in her questline with Cocoa Beanie and her.

I just completed Milhouse’s FTW part 1 quest and his fit milhouse skin did not unlock!!!! This plus no friendship points !!! EA we need a fix!
The skin comes after. Part 2. He has to Order Unnecessary Fitness Gadgets. Then you will see the pop up for the Skin.
I was just pushed another update (don’t know of the same re pushed? ) and my FP meter now says 1/1 and Milhouse is now roaming freely as if he was never put in the task. SMH
Try going out and restarting your device to see if it makes a difference. If not, contact EA right away.
I’m not getting any FP rewards at all, even when I click on my towns homes that other people have clicked. I hope this will get fixed soon.

Am having trouble with my game , it’s been 3 days that it doesn’t load … All I get is the donut spinning and I get boot back to the home screen .. I did the turn off phone and back on

There are a lot of issues going on, but each has its own reasons. My best suggestion is to contact EA to see if they can narrow the cause.
Is there more to the questline than that first six hour task? Just curious. Thanks for all y’all do for us, the hopelessly addicted.

Yah, that is the plus to the glitch. It thinks you max so donuts are spitting out still. Lol.

My mr burns’ Money Fight animation doesn’t work smither disappears and then when you click mr burns it says with Smithers twice! I wonder if any other animations are broke???
That is a different one. Keep an eye on it. Make sure it pays out correctly. If issue persists, contact EA in case you have an alternate matter going on.

Why in world is it taking so long for the update to download? I have been waiting for the past 20 minutes for this to update to my phone and my tablet. Whats happening? First I had to remove it from my tablet in order to get the update version. It kept telling me that it was installed, but it wasnt. Come on people I need to get my tapping on. I am going through withdrawls. 🙂 LMAO. LOL
Wow, what a mess after such a nice event. o.O At the moment I am not playing anymore. It’s pain in the butt gettin kicked out of the game so frequently. Can’t tap buildings without crashing, nor send my characters to work. Visiting neighbors? LOL. Hope they are able to fix it soon, will have an eye on your site even more often now. 😉
Hoping to see another update soon as this is definitely frustrating.
So if we don’t get this fixed before Sunday then there is no chance to get the tie-ins… >:(
I would hope that they take that into consideration. If it comes to that, make sure you have an open ticket and request the items you missed to be put into your game. They can do it.
How do I get the tie ins without friendship points
You mean Cool Lisa? She’ll be around for a while, does not have an end time. She’s a Friendship Prize, and has NOTHING to do with the episode tie-in other than she came with that update.
I am being juped out of FP points while visiting friends. But thankyfully I was able to get the two random donuts that came out of tapping while visiting . Werid but I will take it haha!!

My nexus 2013 tablet is acting like it’s on heavy tranquilizers and of course, stuck at Friensdship level 8, FP 9/5000 and nothing happening.
I did notice that before, adding a road or water would take forever to complete after clicking ‘v’ to add or remove water/road and is now faster, but the lagging doesn’t make up for it.
Worst test-before-release ever.

Same issue. Lag and no FPs. Sitting at 2 even with neighbor tapping. Reported yesterday to EA with notification I would receive a response from a specialist in 2 hrs. 24 hrs later and no response. I’ve added my name to the list.
2 hours seems really quick. Most issues take 24 to 72 hours for a response back from EA. Sorry you dealt with that. You can always go back to the help page and add info to your open ticket if needed.
Just got Blocko Store in with a last pink box before the update. Whew.
Let EA know, as cleaning up tags gets me FP but actions in friends’ towns doesn’t. I have the goofball already so it was a new level.

EA doesn’t update their web site very often. I was looking for info about the missing FP and the updates are from October 2013… it still says friends can steal your lemon tree…
They do. You just have to like for the appropriate keywords. Some of our readers here have started a feed. Feel free to join it.

Yah, it looks as though Level 8 is the main one effected.
Yup still lagging and FP are a no go. Tried all troubleshooting steps and no luck. I’ve already contacted EA.

I’m happy about these skins but it does seem like some characters get a lot more attention than others. That’s Lisa and Homer got quite a few now when poor Bart and Marge have only had 1 premium skin each so far I think. I know Marge likes that green dress but I’m sure she could get another skin or 2

Bummer ,,, my game did”nt fix . Still laggin … Its a pain when there is updates for me cause for some strange reson ,,, everytime i update , i have to uninstall EVERYTHING on my phone ,,,, update n then i can reinstall all my other stuff ! Crazy dude : ( I was all excited when i seen there was a update ……. I”m gonna check my friends points now …… I”ve been playing this game for like 10 months ( several times a day ) , n only had like 3 neighbors ..Now since i found this site , Now i am full 🙂 [ Thank U very much ] 🙂 So i”m only on like level 3 or 4 . I just got the elephant ( forgot his name : ( ) ……. Anyway , Really sucks my game is still lagging , gonna keep tryin 🙂
I have to do the same on my GS4 every update now. Uninstall, restart, reinstall if a clear cache/data doesnt work.
Add your lag, and if impacted, FP issues to the forum thread.
