Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread! (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)

I’ll be MIA for the most part the rest of the week & the weekend. Family time & dr’s, & oh ya… my VET! We came to the conclusion we missed each other I think. There will be ground rules in place this time though. (his response to me was just “ok” LOL. It really sucks when you let a relationship go too fast, or too far. I have truly missed him though, after work today, I was walking to my car & heard a Harley… made me sad & brought tears to my eyes. I decided to text him & tell him I was thinking about him & hoped he was having a good week, he text me back & said he was seriously also thinking of me right then. The rest of the story is yet to be determined… I’m extremely happy, but pooped, right now. The grandkids wore me out tonight after work, and it’s only Wednesday! I hope I make it to Saturday night, I so want to hug him right now!

My first two names were assigned by the system. I tried to change it to Missterry but didn’t use the right procedure. I’d best leave as is and avoid even more confusion. go to exercise class for seniors 3 times a week, have a great time. Old people are lots of laughs! Some of those people are even in their 90s.
I love old people! My ex-mother-in-law, who I still see regularly (she *is* my son’s grandma), just had her 90th b-day last Oct. We play cards (she’s sneaky & likes to mess with us to see if we are paying attention), and she’ll cook meals when we visit, she’s a blast! I love her to death, I wish she’d been this cool when I was married to her son, we might even still have been married LOL

I was just visiting from my IPhone while waiting for my grandson’s class to be let out, first time since I’d gotten “that thingie that’s bigger than what I was using” , and the lag on it was a LOT less than the tablet, but it’s a Droid. I’m definitely not getting a Droid phone, my son just got his from Amazon yesterday, he loves it, he said he liked the droid he had before we got the IPhones a lot better. I’ll stick with my phone, I have never had any problems with it in over a yr & 1/2, and I don’t want to figure out how to use another device. Have I ever mentioned I don’t like change? LOL
I love my Android phones…won’t go to iOS. Just more flexibility with Android

I like that when someone calls or texts me & I can’t ignore it that it doesn’t interrupt my game LOL… darn people, how dare they interrupt me while I’m playing… my son kept messing with me earlier about his new Droid, I think we text each other back & forth at least 20 times LOL. he kept saying his phone was better than mine & see, it was taking so long for me to reply to his texts… I told him I was trying to do 3 things at once 🙂

Its called a tablet. If you can use that on the android system then it is pretty much the samething on a phone. If you understand the tablet you will get the phone too. I think that android is easier to understand then an iPhone. So I just leveled up to 19 yeah!! I love how Willie told me to get a girlfriend.

Ya ya ya, I know Ryan, Freak already informed me of the fact it’s a tablet… LOL I like my phone, have never had any problems with it, and, just like Explorer, I **don’t** like change. It’s a waste of my time to figure out a new device when I already have a perfectly good one I already know how to work 🙂
So get an iPad. Its just like your phone except no voice calls or texts.

Hahahaha… I hope you aren’t getting “butt-hurt” as my son calls it. I don’t know the difference between all these devices, and still get a little flustered at the tablet, for instance, I don’t know how to turn on the confirm spend on the donuts… there’s no “settings” like on my phone. Are you telling me that the IPad is not like a Droid, why hasn’t anyone bothered to tell me this before???? Good grief, inquiring minds need to know this stuff. So, I need to ditch this tablet & buy myself an IPad? I can’t even take screen shots with this thing! I had to take a picture of the screen with my phone the other day just to submit pics LOL!

I LOVE my Android devices gDar. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. It all really depends on what you use it for. iPads are more simplistic…basic…not so much going on. Androids seem to have more capability and options. It all really comes down to what YOU want in a device.

OK, so I found “my apps” on this thing, & it’s set for auto update, & it shows TSTO as being recently updated. Where on earth are the settings for it though? I blew some donuts earlier speeding up stupid crops! Royally PO’d me LOL (well, not really royally) LOL
Your confirm donut spend is within the game if that is what you are looking for.
You go into your menu where you can buy buildings, decorations, etc. Open anyone of your choosing. In the top right corner of the box all those items are in, you will see a lil video camera and an italic “i”.
If you click on the italic i it takes you into your settings screen. There you can see the audio for characters, music, and settings for notifications and confirm donut spend. Make sure confirm is set to ON.
There is also a way to get to it through the donut purchase area. Same concept. Lil i in top right corner.

Oak Creek Canyon, AKA the road 89A North of Sedona that goes to flag that has the crazy switch back that leads up to the outlook.
We used to go camping at Oak Creek Canyon a lot when we were kids. I really miss going up on the rim.
They are calling it the slide fire because it is right by slide rock.
Well that sucks, I always like driving up to Sedona & looking at the scenery along the way. I hope they get it put out soon. At least it didn’t happen when we had those wicked winds last week!
From what it sounds like, they are having high winds and that is making the fire spread faster. I know that when I went up last year there were tons of trees that they had cut just laying on the ground.
I was hoping for a bike ride there in a few weeks. Now we’ll have to figure somewhere else I guess. (Oh, it’s back on with the vet, but there are “rules” being put in place this time.) I really enjoy his company, & miss him 🙁

Hi Donna, sorry to butt in, I might be able to shed some light for you. From reading this, and other post, I think the confusion lies in the name game…….allow me to explain. The name you use when you play TSTO is DHaman…..this is what freaknstein8, granmamaDar, and your daughter see when you visit their towns and they look at their friends list. This name can’t be changed from within the game, but can be changed if you have Origins Desktop Manager downloaded on to your computer. The name you once had on this blog site…FUNDTREEHOUSE….is the name WordPress gave you when you opened an account (with them). WordPress is the blog hosting site used by the TSTOaddicts staff to create this blog we all enjoy. Your current name..missterry…is, as you know….the name you changed it too. Remember, the name you use here, when you post comments, has NOTHING, to do with your TSTO game name. I hope this helped a little.👍

How did you know Stacey is my daughter? She’s the guilty one who got me addicted! I’ve been trying to add you and runic to my friends list but have been making multiple attempts ’cause of error messages such as “no match found” or Origin Friends list is full”. I have<90. Glad I could help clear the fog.😊 I only know about your daughter because you mentioned in an earlier post that she still see’s your original name on her games friends list. The name I choose to use when I post….Cybersilly…..is not the name I use in my TSTO game. That name is cybersilly684. Sometimes, when you use the in game search…..it does not work well. That’s why I use the ORIGIN Desktop Manager. It works great, and gives you way more options. Once again, glad I could help.👍🎉
Mentioning Stacey was a long time ago. Good memory. It seems the multiple device users encounter more problems – either that or I’m stodgy and refuse to get up to date. I play on only one device – my ipad mini. Hey! I’m taking credit for my adaptability…. I’m 82 years old. Most of my senior friends are afraid to touch a computer – the dummies. 🙂
The reason you get the “full” message is because I am usually at the friend limit, which is 100 friends. The Origin in-game program is a little unstable at times. That’s why you get error messages. I stopped using it for this reason.

The reason you are getting kicked out of bill fish on’s town when you visit is because their game has a problem on the EA side, not in their device they use to play. And not only are they locked out of their own town, but all their friends are locked out too. I have two friends on my friends list that I can’t visit (with the same problem). It seems to be effecting about 2% to 3% of the gamer community right now. Just avoid visiting them for now until EA fixes the problem.😉

Lol to clarify…Alissa fell asleep while tapping towns with her phone in her hand and woke up with a dead cell phone battery at 4 this morning.
TFF (too furry funny). Sorry to laugh, but I’ll admit I’ve woken up before with my phone laying in front of me & my reading glasses still on, having left some of my neighbors hanging for visits 🙂
It’s a recurring nightly thing for me lately lol. That’s what happens when you leave tapping for late at night. But in my case it was actually lying in bed, usually ends up being the end for me. Can stay up all night if needed as long as I’m not in bed lol…but over the weekend I hurt my back doing a TON of yard work & Spring Cleaning inside the house (old injury from a bad car accident I got in when I was a Freshman in College..where a tractor trailer decided it’d be a good idea to run me and my little Ford Focus over) so laying down was the best place for me. Of course it also was the best place to fall asleep lol
Ouch, I can relate, I’m having my 3rd epidural of steroids in my back Thursday afternoon. The TENS unit they prescribed for me to use at work is great when I don’t pull out the leads. I still haven’t figured out how to tape those stupid wires up so they stay together & I am still functional LOL Don’t make the mistake I did & keep letting it go, you are young & can help correct it before it gets to the point I’m at (they wanted to do surgery, I had choice words for them short of saying KMA lol).
I promise I’ll click on more ads so you don’t have to work so hard, ok? 😉

Sundays are an added bonus on my check, so I work as many as I can. And usually when the party is getting started here, I’m hitting “crunch time” but at least I can still get all the laughs when I get home lol. You guys always crack me up.
Sundays are the same for me, time & a half, so I work them so I can work less hours during the week & have time for more fun things 🙂
I get the feeling when our new contract comes up next year that’s one thing we’ll lose. First they dropped it to fifty cents an hour, but I was grandfathered in, then a few contracts after that, they took the bonus away altogether & I was grandfathered in again, but only 20% (or is it 30%? guess it doesn’t matter), of the shifts can be picked by us old-timers. Fortunately there’s only a couple people with more seniority than I have, & we choose our own shifts from what is available. I can pretty much pick my own schedule, so if they give it up, I will take the weekend & Mondays off. Why work one of the busiest days of the week when it’s no benefit to me. I’m also taking the week of Thanksgiving off, no more turkey/tennis elbow for me LOL. Don’t know why I didn’t do it in the past :/
Our contract hasn’t changed the Sunday pays yet *crosses fingers* but they did switch our schedules over to being computer written (which BTW is an absolute horror!) I am one of few ppl in the store that are full time, so I had an option at being “unavailable” one day a week. I picked Friday. Friday and Saturday are the worst days there, and we can’t pick a weekend day. But if anyone ever hears the words “eschedule” – find a new job lol. Ever since it took over I am always understaffed and left with untrained ppl @ night. If I didn’t have almost 10yrs in there, I would probably look elsewhere.
Fortunately ONE of the things our contract has kept for us is seniority & select-a-sched. If I had to work nights after almost 28 yrs, I’d be PO’d.
