Welcome to another edition of From the Mouths of Addicts, where YOU get to sound off on anything and everything in the world of Tapped Out! This week’s post is all about our second Tapper of the Month for May Kays_xo!
Back on May 4th we announced the TSTO Communities of Topix, Addicts & game voted two winners Archheretic1 and Kays_xo as the Tappers of the Month during our monthly Shout Out! As part of the Tapper of the Month we interviewed both Archheretic and Kays to get a better feel for why they created their Springfields the way they did and some advice they might have for other Tappers when it comes to design. We talked with Arch a few weeks ago, you can see that post here. Now here’s part two of our conversation with our Tappers of the Month Kays_xo…

Hello there addicts! Here is my entry for the town of the month 😀
The simpsons tapped out community (especially on tapped out UK) all know me as Kays_xo. Im from the UK and have been playing tapped out since the squidport event!
Im a daily reader of your blog, and would like to say thank you for all of your hard work that you do to make this game both more enjoyable and easier!

Addicts: What are your favorite decorations to use and why?
Kays_xo: My favourite decorations to use are the hedges, the walls and the flowers. I enjoy using these to try and make my designs appear to be more realistic, whilst also making them pretty :). These decorations are also really good at creating 2D and 3D designs which I enjoy doing. For example, my name written in flowers and 3D designs used around my Buddhist Temple.
A: How long did it take you to decide how to design your town?
K: Well, it took me ages to design my whole town. I have done many full town redesigns but then awhile after I start to think of more interesting designs and decorations that can be incorporated into my designs, so I then place everything back into my inventory and start again. I’m also very fussy with my designs and they have to be perfect for me to be happy! However, I am currently very happy with the design of my town and I’d estimate that the full design took me about 2-3 weeks to fully finish!
A: What was your inspiration for your design?
K: My inspirations for my designs come from how I would like these buildings designed in real life. I’d love to walk round my town and see that every building has had the time and care put into it to make it look beautiful. I’m also a very visual person, so I like everything to look pretty and neat!
A: What brought you to our silly lil site?
K: I think I came across your site trying to search for details about the game (not too sure though, can’t really remember :p). Then once I found your site, I was hooked!
A: What keeps you sticking around our silly lil site?
K: Well… I stick around because you guys are truly amazing! All of you have such great personalities and always make interesting posts that are enjoyable to read! I think you’re the most active Simpsons blog I know about, and always pass out information to us addicts super quick which I love! As long as you keep posting, I’ll always be here!
A: What do you like best about each Addicts Team Member (Alissa, Bunny, Wookiee)?
K: All of you are such great people!Alissa: I like how friendly and kind you are and all of the posts you do!
Bunny: I love your obsession with bunnies and how excited you got over the Easter event (even though the Easter event was pretty terrible, damn EA!)
Wookiee: Well Wookiee’s just Wookie! Always keeps me entertained, especially in Adi’s TSTO streams!
A: What will buy with your donuts?
K: I’m probably going to buy crazy cat lady! But haven’t actually decided yet! So many good things that I could buy! Decisions, decisions, decisions!!
A: What made you decide to enter into the Shout Out competition?
K: I entered because I was proud of the time and hard work that I put into designing my town. I also received lots of lovely feedback from the members of Tapped Out UK about my town, so I thought I’d share it with everyone 🙂
A: What suggestions would you give to other TSTO Addicts of how to manage/design their towns?
K: My suggestions would be when redesigning, try and start from the centre (your landing zone) and then work outwards, as I’ve started from the edges before and then realised my landing zone is off point!When redesigning, I’d say do it bit by bit instead of all in go as otherwise it becomes too overwhelming!Finally, try and make your town unique and think outside of the box – it’s always nice to see a town that has been designed using lots of imaginative ideas!
A: What is your Favorite in game Character? Building? Decoration? …and why?
K: My favourite in game character is Lisa! She’s the cute little goody two shoes and always works hard – so basically just like me! And I think I’d have to say that my favourite building is the Simpsons house as this is the one thing that pops straight into my mind when I think of the show!
A: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
K: Thank you for featuring my town!

Any idea on what and when our next event will be? Just got my sister hooked on the game and a new event would be fun for her!
Was there a 4th of July event last year?
There was a 4th of July mini event last year (a weekend long). That’s most likely the next event. There usually aren’t big events over the summer (unless they do more expansions). After the 4th we probably won’t see anything until Halloween. But hopefully lots of Level updates. Last year we also saw Squidport and Krustyland over the summer 🙂

Kays town is as pretty as she is 🙂 Even tough it is an eyesore I love her Blue Housefarm, it keeps her town tappable for visiting neighboureenos when she’s busy with more important things then Tapping!
That’s a pretty cool town Kray!
I always get inspired by the posts like this and the ones where other people towns are featured. I wish I was braver with my town! Oh, and that I had lot of spare in game cash! That would help!

Haha! Is save for a whole, actually no, I save for ages to buy a building and once I’ve placed it anything else goes on decorations, still can’t quite grasp the concept of 3d but I’ve been giving it a go 🙂
It is addicting. Feel free to use our basic tutorials in the 2D/3D section of the menu. Once you start…it is hard to stop. Lol
Thanks bunny, I’ll have a nose around. If I’ve learnt one thing about decorations lately it’s to store them, not sell them if I change my mind!
I have THOUSANDS of items in storage. Tens of thousands. Lol.
Omg! Considering how much of a hoarder I am in real life I’d expect to have more in my virtual life but I don’t! I’ve been trying to keep my box as empty as possible. I’m a strange being!
Nah…our good friend Em does that too. Has to have it empty. NOTHING inside.
I can’t do that even if I wanted too. I’ve got the barney skin in there from christmas! I think he’ll always be a feature in my storage box!
I was just stuck on that after logging in, Bart’s old “cannot connect to server/Ugh, not this problem again.” Now when I try to login I get that kind of swooshy alert sound, and a screen I’ve never seen before (but I’ve only been playing for five months): Origin unavailable: the Origin network could not be reached at this time. Please try again later.”
Could this possibly be a good sign, that repair/remedy is underway? Fingers crossed.
BTW, that was supposed to be Susan C. Thanks microphone!
Repairs have been coming. A Google play update hit a lil bit ago that fixed my game, but now Bart screen. Status says Origin is online. May just be an influx of people trying to get the update through. Hang in there. Try again later.

Anyone else having a problem logging in. I get to the sign on page then when it tries to load Sf it goes to connection error retry with Bart.
