AGAIN…LOTS N LOTS OF SPOILERS AHEAD!!! READ MORE WITH CAUTION!!!
Reminder, I have all of the answers listed in my Sacred Parchment Calendar, so if you want the actual task you will need to go there. The entire 24 will be listed on the days they open. The clues are very specific to the characters, their tasks, and your knowledge of the Simpsons. Think even of last names or things that have to do with them alone. I am having a lot of fun with them myself.
Now for today’s New Puzzle
Parchment Puzzle #16 (June 18th):
A Bull Whip. “Flaming”.
There you go. To not spoil them completely (even though they are pretty obvious) you still need to go to the Sacred Parchment Calendar to get the tasks that complete these. Gotta keep some of it a lil mysterious still. Lol. Keep in mind you do NOT have to finish these in order and they are NOT timed. So you have til end of the event to complete them however you see fit.
Update from Alissa: Some of you are commenting you’ve got an ERROR for Smithers. This is a common glitch, so don’t panic when you see it. Check out this great post from Bunny about how to fix it: http://tstoaddicts.com/2014/06/12/glitch-smithers-error/ 🙂
As you can see on each one, it tells you the Game Play Level you need to have done in order to see and/or complete the task. Not sure where you are in Game Play Level? Check our Walkthroughs. If you don’t want to try and complete levels or even do the task at hand, you can also opt for the donut pay out to bypass it.

I don’t have Smithers
If he’s missing, try storing Burns’ Manor and the replacing it. Otherwise, you just have to wait until you get him in the quests.

Was I the only person to find that clue to be slightly offensive and derogatory? I’m willing to give EA the benefit of the doubt but come on now, calling anybody a “flaming moe” is just not cool.
Flaming Moe is a drink. Flaming has been stated in the TV Series itself in reference. It is similar to what you see in the series dialog that flow into the game. My LGBTQ friends actually are giggling and love the reference. It is all in a matter of how you view it. If you personally think of and use it in a damaging and hurtful way, then you will view it as such. If you view it as a loving or silly way, then you view it as that instead.
It’s intention was not a hurtful one. 😉
I’m aware that the flaming moe is a drink (made with cough syrup if memory serves). Referencing it (no matter how “lovingly”) to smithers just because he is a gay character is derogatory. There’s no getting around that.

I think Bunny addressed this in her comment already. It’s all in how you perceive it. Some find it offense, others don’t. That’s the way it goes with everything in life. It’s only derogatory if that’s how you perceive it and allow it to be. But I don’t want to get into a flame war here. You found it offensive and derogatory & that’s your right, however many, many others did not. But if The Simpsons (and by extension EA) stopped doing stuff because it offends people there wouldn’t be a show to base this game off of. 🙂
The first one that had me stumped – somehow I was completely stuck on Moe but couldn’t think of a task of his that applied. Thanks for the help!

I’m so jealous of all of you. I’m still waiting on an update to fix bugs that won’t allow me to access my game. It’s been two weeks now and I am missing out on all the goodies this update brought. I hope I am compensated for the lost time and money I put into the game.
Stay in constant touch with EA. Keep emailing them you are down. Make sure they compensate you for the time loss.
I had to make a completely new profile. I was on EA like a fly on poop, but they never fixed it nor compensated me :(. My old profile went down 3 months ago.
Did you try contacting Origin through the options instead to see if they could help more?

Ever since the Town Census update I haven’t been able to find Smithers. When I look him up on the census, where it normally says “waiting for something to do” it just says “ERROR” and if I click on GO TO it brings me to Mr. Burns.
Anyone else have a problem like this? I haven’t really cared about missing him until this latest Parchment Puzzel

My Smothers says Error so I can’t send him off to do anything. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it??

To find Smith ERS goto to the reactor and put it into shortage , smithers will reappear,
I have the game installed on two devices and on both Smithers appears on the menu as *error* and takes me to Burns when tapped. Help

I’m embarrassed to say this is the first one I just couldn’t get. I’m blaming that it was early in the morning 😉
I was convinced there must be some drunk lion tamer or dominatrix walking about in my springfield that I forgot about!
lol EA’s really making us use a lot of tasks we wouldn’t often use….although I think this particular one is a favorite of many players lol 😉

Keep working to unlocking him. You can always go back and accomplish this task later in the event. So for now just keep playing through the actual game/levels and you’ll get there 🙂
