(this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way! You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)

OmG!! ever since i was forced to take the new update my game has been acting wonky! first it would freeze up for like a minute in game and the return to regular play, now my game crashes rite after the logo screen while the doughnut spins!! getting very frustrated!! cnt get my simspons fix and im so far in the game to jus give up now…. Grr Arg!!
Ugh… this sounds like what I went through earlier this year. Beyond the basic troubleshooting steps, not much else we can do from our end.

If none of that works, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the game as a last effort and then it’d be something to elevate to EA. Hopefully it fixes itself but the info for contacting EA is below. Best of luck!

Is it just me or have they stopped handing out random donuts for visiting friends. About a week ago I completed the Emblem Tasks to get Satan’s Anvil and I am now earning donuts every 3000 Emblems. Thankyou EA. However, before this point I was getting 1 or 2 free donuts a day from visiting my 100 friends. Now I’m getting nothing. Is it because I’m earning donuts from the 3000 Emblems task, is it because of the Level 42 update or is it just me being unlucky. Any ideas, thoughts appreciated.
The donuts only apply when you max out your Friendship Prize level. Once you earn KBBL Radio Station they should start again. They’re also random, sometimes you’ll go a long time with out one & other times they’ll pop up constantly. 🙂

I’m a little late for this but I’m looking for advice on doughnuts. I have not purchased any and have collected 205 doughnuts. I’m trying to decide what to spend them on or if I should wait until the next special event (or even next Halloween) to spend them.
It depends. What do you like? Any characters you have your eye on? Limited-Time is always fun because they may not ever come back, whereas the other characters will be in the game forever so you can get them anytime. The downside is….we don’t know what’s coming. We have an Addicts top 10 list here:

Not so much Sunday evening as Monday morning now. There was no way I could stay up till 1am
UK time to post a comment, especially since I’m on a different shift pattern this week and started work at 5am this morning.
Hope everyone had a good weekend, mine went quite quickly and I had Saturday off for once which meant I could go out drinking for the first time since my birthday last year.
Haven’t really watched any football this weekend, the last game I partially saw was Italy v Costa Rica on Friday night. England are out of the World Cup already, usual performance from them.
What is this “football” that you mentioned? I don’t have it in my game 😉

Is anybody else seeing their games freeze for a few seconds every now and then recently? It also seems that after the level 42 update my games started crashing more frequently again. Damn, it was running so smootly for a few weeks… 🙁
Yes…mine was crashing like crazy yesterday. Might be something up with Origin tho…
The only problem I’ve had recently with freezing is when I’m moving/remodeling, it sometimes takes forever to go in. A couple of times I’ve had to reboot my game to clear it.
Looks like I missed some fun tonight, I had a 4 day weekend (1 more day to go YAY!) & spaced off it was Sunday. It’s always good to see “friendly faces” around 🙂

See my parents would go on vacation, and I would have “get togethers”, the day before they came back I would schedule the cleaning service to come earlier and tell them they called and it was a schedule conflict! LOL. Then they moved out here and now we dont have a cleaning service, so my sister (much younger then me) decided everyone has to stay in the backyard so she can just hose it down. Parents caught on to that and made me pop in during prime times to make sure nothing funky was going on!

I’m only at 34203 emblems …. Just shy of 35000. Somehow it’s already popping up 165/3000 for secret bonus prize. Will I be bumped out of the devil anvil prize? Hard closed app, powered down device. Tried both android and iOS device. HELP!

Did I see somewhere in an earlier post about how the Emblem Donut Bonuses follow a pattern? I thought it was middle / middle / ??? / ???. I guessed middle the first two times and got the three donuts. Anyone else?
So odd question. I got some iTunes gift cards & for some reason I cannot figure out how to use them in my games :/ Google is easy, just select payment options. Apple just auto withdrawals my debit card. No laughing, I’m still a newbie with my iPad lol.
Go into iTunes. Scroll to the buttom and there should be a redeem code button or something like that. Enter your card and it’s now a credit towards your next purchase.
preload them to your iTunes account (via computer) then select that as your main payment option That should allow you to use the GC instead of your Credit Card 🙂
See that’s what’s weird. I can get it to work on iTunes just fine. Buy a couple songs, load to my iPod. Happy listener. Go into my game, and it takes my card, unhappy tapper lol. So I tried the payment option thing in iTunes & all it let’s me do is unchecked my card. Does that auto send it to my available g.c. balance?
It should. I mainly play on Android so I’m struggling to remember. But I believe if you uncheck it it should default to the card.
A strange thing happened just now when all my heart shaped ponds turned into a S shaped dirt roads and I think there were three stacks of chopped wood on it. As I zoomed out it changed back to ponds.
I wonder what was that?

Free donuts? I don’t think so. Since the level 42 update came out Wednesday, also the day I reached 35k emblems, I haven’t guessed correctly once. My XP was nearly full prior to the update so I maxed it out that same Wednesday night even before th building was built. Guessed Centre, Left, then finally got 3 donuts in the Right box ($100k). On Thursday, got 3k emblems and guessed Centre then got 3 donuts in the Left box ($150k). On Friday, got 3k more emblems and guessed, Centre, Left, then finally got 3 donuts in the Right box ($300k). Yesterday again, got 3k more emblems and guessed, Centre, Left, then finally got 3 donuts in the Right box ($300k). Today, just got another 3k emblems and guessed Centre then got 3 donuts in the Left box ($150k).
So got 15 “free” donuts, but it’s cost me ONE MILLION DOLLARS! Maybe I should rethink my default sequence of Centre, Left, then Right. LOL!
Where are the post for the Stonecutters Table and the WDTCF Money Pool? Did it come from Scrooge McDuck? lol. Well you guys did get the 10 donuts from Homer at the Stonecutter Table secret out pretty quick so I’ll give you a pass on this one.

One of my neighbors has a character that looks just like Gil in his town. He paces a bit and then drops to his knees pleading and looking worried. Any ideas who it could be? He’s wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and his tie is loosened.
That is exactly what Gil does when he offers a deal. Is he always in that neighbor’s town? If so, they may have a modded game.
I wish I could have a modded game that automatically cleared my friends visits!

No reply button next to the Wookie’s post, so I’m answering here: I’ve only recently noticed Gil in this person’s town and he was in the same area each time. Not sure if that means the town is “modded”, as I don’t know what that means (I’m guessing hacked?).
Yes modded means hacked… 😉
And yes, sometimes Gil does randomly appear. However it’s not always a modded game. Sometimes it’s just a texture glitch in someone’s Springfield (similar to seeing eggs or TP in a Springfield). But no signs of Gil (for real) just yet! 🙂
Having an issue! The sonecutter table never showed up in my inventory…I got the task to do, but no table to use or place…not in inventory and says I got it?

I had oral surgery on Friday, ouch!!!! I am so glad that I have all of you and the game to keep me busy and my mind off the pain. I even finished the initial emblem collection and got all of the prizes including the first ” Thanks so much for the help!

I don’t know bout y’all but I love the new 2 hour tasks that some of the characters have been given. To me the 60 minute tasks were to short but, the 4 hours ones were to long. Glad thy gave us another choice.

Just (hopefully) fixed a leaky pipe in the basement. Not fun. Getting all reved up for tomorrow, I get to use my Christmas present and go for a ride along in a real drag car. 140MPH baby.
Honestly I hope the updates slow down a little bit, I am level 37 and still 4 or 5 levels behind building wise. I need some time to catch up. I will be very sad to see the Stone Cutters event end though, I have been really enjoying this one a lot. I feel very bad for anyone who joins this game and misses the event. Anyone else watching True Blood soon?

Well that was certainly interesting. Need to watch it again to figure out what the heck just happened though.
Has anyone noticed the discrepancy on the emblem count between what it shows as your total emblems earned and the count to the 3000 secret bonus.
I’ve noticed that when you hit the 3000 mark, that the additional emblems are lost. For example, if you’re on 2,999 and you get 20 emblems from the treasure chest, you lose 19 emblems. This could be a serious loss if you have just completed task #4 and earned 400 emblems but only needed a couple to hit the 3000 mark.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Getting a few reports and keepin an eye on it. Halloween saw the same issue with the goo counter. That when you got close to the resets you had to make sure you were in your town to collect or lose all the extras if you were in a neighbors. For now, I would highly suggest alerting EA to the issue. So it is brought to their attention right away.

It ends 7/2…you’re not too far off the pace according to Bunny’s Calendar, so you’re in good shape. Just keep tappin and collecting all you can and you should be good to go! 🙂
