Where Did THAT Come From – Rocket Car

Level 42!!!!!!

Anyone else nerding out and thinking about the Hitchhiker’s Guide right now?  I know this level isn’t the ultimate answer to the ultimate question but it’s still a number that easily gets me re-reading my Douglas Adams books.  Anywho… you didn’t visit the site today just to hear how big a geekanerdadorkasaurus I am, did you?  If you did… rock on but I realize some might actually want info on some of the newest and coolest stuff we got.

For this WDTCF, I thought we’d hit something from Level 42 that appears real quick in the Best. Show. Ever.  The Rocket Car.

Rocket Car

This little beauty costs 120 donuts mainly because it also brings a character with tasks (Chester J. Lampwick).  A skoshi expensive for a decoration but it does give a 2% bonus to XP and cash earnings in your town as well as adding that extra touch of awesomeness.

This radical item appeared in Season 7, Episode 18: “The Day the Violence Died”.  Because we’ll talk more about Chester and this episode in a later post, let’s just say Mr. Lampwick has a sudden windfall of a lot of money. He decided one of the best ways to spend it was on a solid gold house and a rocket car.

Rocket Car

Sort of the place you’d hear narrated by Robin Leach, right?  This new car is really cool and even though it only had a couple quick shots in this episode, I dig that EA gave it to us.  Sure we could have gotten a blinged out mansion too but then we’d hear how noone had space for it lol.  I imagine people making race tracks for this or putting it in driveways.  It’s certainly one of those decorations that awakens my inner-child.

Well, hope y’all are enjoying the end of the Stonecutter event and all the Level 42 stuff.  I’m off to read some more about Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent.  So long and thanks for all the fish!

TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. Gil showed up in my town this morning offering to sell me the gold mansion!

  2. Can’t wait to see where people put this in their town

  3. Josephine Kick@$$

Still LMBO @ your self-description “geekanerdadorkasaurus”!

I’m still on the fence about this one, part of me says go for it, and part of me says get the other stuff I’ve been wanting.

  4. A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. 😉

  5. Between the Stonecutter questline donuts, the 3000 emblems donuts, the random neighbor action donuts before and after the new Friendship level and the buying and selling of thousands and thousands of the Stonecutter slides, I was able to get this 100% free! Really happy about that!
I ended up making a gas station with a Kwik E Mart and placing the rocket car like it’s stopped for gas in between pumps. Kwik E Marts in MY Springfield sell rocket fuel, plutonium and disposable self worth!

  6. Not sure where to ask this but, does anyone know if we’ll get donuts again when we visit neighbors after we get the radio station?

  7. Um I experienced this wierd occurrence where I was at a friends place and I was done with all the spying and collected all the stuff. So then I just looked at his place and was tapping on premium characters that I didn’t have to hear what they say, but thenI randomly got 1xp is that not a glitch or is it.

  8. This car has also appeared in probably my most beloved childhood game, The Simpsons: Hit and Run!
It was a drive-able vehicle on Level 1 with Homer! 😛
Did you ever play The Simpsons: Hit and Run Wookie and if so, what did you think of it? 🙂

    • I did play it and it was a fun game. The only one I liked more was The Simpsons Game.

    • I was just thinking that it was on hit and run but I thought it was barts? I loved all those games except I could never remember my code for Road Rage on my game boy fond memories 🙂
