Level 42 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Level 42 has arrived in Springfield!  And, as usual, with the release of Level 42 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed.  Let’s check it out and see what the new requirements are, so  you can have all the information you’ll need to maintain that 5-Star Springfield!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

The Level 42 update has introduced 2 new buildings (including the new Friendship Prize), 2 new characters, 2 new decorations & all new point amounts required to reach a 5-Star Springfield.

At Level 42 here’s what you’ll need to max out your Conform-O-Meter:

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
42     490      310       282/326
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
25,975/39,620          209     2,046

As you can see, Level 42 has increased most of the requirements.  Indolence and Obedience have increased by 20 points each…that’s not so bad right?  Tree-hugging has jumped up 1,410 points.  Vanity saw a 1,950 point increase while Righteousness went up about 9 points (seems to be the new norm.  If you’re seeing a drop, just add some training walls).  Hey more people in Springfield the harder it is to keep crime off the streets! Consumerism saw no change.   And Socialism saw a 108 point jump…which should be easy to hit with the new Friend Point Prize!

So now let’s take a look at how these new buildings and decorations Level 42 dropped in impact our Conform-o-Meter:

Item Cost Category Points
Itchy & Scratchy Studios $800,000 Obedience 10
KBBL Radio 4,500 FP Obedience 10
Itchy and Scratchy Billboard 40 Donuts Vanity 400
Rocket Car 120 Donuts Vanity 1,200

So there you have it my friends…just how all the new goodies from Level 42 impact our Conform-o-Meters!  What do you think?  Let us know how your meters are doing!  Are you maxed out?  If not what area(s) currently needs a boost?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Ha! Was so waiting for the golden villa and now it’s there! Lovely Deal-update, although I will have to pass. ^^

    Sweetness. Ty. 🙂

🙂 I’m at 5 stars and my bonus from conform-o-meter is around 380% I was wondering if there was a max for your conform bonus?

    • Nope no max. The conform-o-meter only awards a 5% bonus for filling it up, BUT the rest of those bonus numbers come from premium items round your Springfield. So Conform-o-meter bonus maxes out at 5% but with the premium items in your Springfield there is no max. 🙂

  4. What is the minimum number of stars required to get an overall 5 star rating? Does every single measure have to be at 5 or will they “round up” if enough of them are 5? I am at 4 1/2 overall and wondering if it is worth the money and effort to shoot for 5.

    • They all have to be at 5 to max it out. In the grand scheme though, 4.5 really isn’t too bad (I’ve been there forever and never maxed out) and it’s a lot less stressful not to worry about it.

  5. I love the stone cutters event which I think is the best event so far. I have found it hard to give tasks to most of the characters because it’s hard to tell what group i will need for #1’s next assigned task. Is anyone else having this issue? Once I get # 1’s task I assign it then I try to have the other characters on the same time table. Other times I just let them wonder around town if the task only takes an hour or two. I am not sure why this bothers me but was wondering what others had thought. lol

    • Keep Agnes, Quimby, Rod and CBG free and they really cover most of the types. Then send the rest as you please.

      • My answer will differ slightly. As a Freemium player (so far) who only started during the Easter event, I don’t have all of the characters unlocked yet. So my characters have been spending a lot of time doing short tasks lately, thus ensuring they are free for the next #1 task, if needed. In the grand scheme of things, however, you will get more emblems from spying and being spied upon, especially if you frequently check and clear your Springfield. With 100 neighbors, there is a theoretical possibility of getting 1800 emblems per day from visits. (100 neighbors times 3 taps each, cleared ASAP, equals 1500 emblems, and the other 300 come from tapping only stonecutter lodges for the first 60 taps as you visit your neighbors — just be sure to finish all your visits after the first 60 so as to max out cash and FP and to ensure your neighbors get the emblems from your visits.)

Following these guidelines, I have over 33K emblems now and will probably hit 35K tomorrow. Many workdays, I never finish the fourth #1 task or I would have hit 35K emblems a few days ago.

(My own biggest disappointment comes from not finishing all of the parchment tasks — many of them require characters I just haven’t gotten to yet — and not having enough donuts to speed them all up. ***sigh***)

  6. Ya. I’m experiencing the same thing; Before Stonecutters I was thinking about buying 62 more Kwik-E-Marts because I was stuck at 4 1/2 stars on my meter even tho I had the Cops doing 4 hour stints. Now, I’ve been @ 5 stars since Stonecutters. Well. Yeah!!

  7. Since level 42 dropped has anyone else had problems with tree-hugging decorations? I figured that it must be a glitch related to the increase in the tree-hugging rating, but I cannot store any bushes, trees, etc. When I click on the icon to store it, it gives me the “sorry, hoarder, you can’t store this item” message. I’m not too worried about it, so I haven’t reported it to EA. I figured that its probably related to something else that would get a hotfix sooner or later. Just curious if I’m alone. 🙂

    • Some of the decorations have been made unstorable because of issues with folks losing decorations when placed in storage. We hope it will be fixed soon.

      • Thanks for the reply – and it looks like now the ‘nuclear’ option has been added, that should solve any decoration problems. 😉

  8. I am happy they didn’t raise the consumerism level because I just can’t get past 4 stars. I am trying to avoid just putting Kwik e marts every where, and trying to stick to playing as a freemium player so I don’t have a ton of donuts to work with. I bought the movie theater and the pet shop and still only at 4 stars. 🙁

    • The money pool will give you a little boost as well. Consumerism is one of the hardest to max out, especially if you’re not a premium player. What level are you currently on? And how long have you been playing?

      • I am on level 42 and have been playing since last October. I have the money pool already (one of my favorite outside tasks I love watching burns swim. Lol) I currently have 78 donuts ( I bought a golden scratcher or 2 that hit the jackpot.) I am hoping I will get a few extra donuts with this event so I can buy a premium building or 2 to help out. Thanks Alissa!

  9. Something weird happened to me, in level 41 I had to build two additional Gulps and two markets to gain five stars…now in lvl 42 I could sell three gulps and one market and retain the star lvl…what the hell !?! =p

    • That is odd…wonder if there was a glitch at level 41 that impacted it.

      • Maybe… I noticed it cause everytime the game lvl gets higher, my consumerism and gluttony decreases by half a star, this time it stayed the same, so I tried to store Gulps and KMs to see what would happen. I already have a lot of those hidden behind games big buildings cause I don’t like having lots of the same building. Hope I don’t have to replace them soon. Lol

  10. Hi Alissa. Like many people, Consumerism is the only rating I can’t get to 5 stars (stuck at 4). I know that building multiple Kwik-E-Marts is the easiest way to improve the rating, but I simply don’t want them in my town (it’s not right I tells ya!).

So, my question is, how do I know how many points I currently have out the required total of 282 (at level 42), and therefore how many more buildings/points I need for 5 stars?

I have a feeling you are going to tell me I need to go around the town and count every building known to increase Consumerism by 10 points, but I thought I’d see if you or anyone else knows a better way?

  11. A little off topic but you think they’ll add some sort of “clear the town” or “nuke” option so I can redesign my town in a less tedious manner? I’d love to take another crack as designing my town… but hundreds of trees and my park would be mind numbingly annoying to add to inventory.

    • They had it in the game when Stonecutters launched. However, there were issues with items disappearing from inventory so they disabled it (hopefully for now). We’re hoping it comes back soon!

  12. I have been stuck at 3 stars for a while now. My Socialism and Righteousness scores are maxed out. Obedience is close (3.5). Gluttony and Vanity are at 3. Indolence and Consumerism are at 2 and Tree-hugging is at 1. My biggest issue is that I still have so many building quests backed up that I do not have the extra cash to “waste” decorating. Hopefully they slow up adding new levels so I have some time to catch up. Easter killed me.

  13. Where do you find kbbl radio? Can’t find it in my inventory anywhere.
