Friendship Level 9: Unlocking KBBL

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers,

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers doing today?   Winding down the final days of Stonecutters?  Racking up those FP’s by visiting your neighbors?  Just a reminder, remember to help out your fellow neighbors and clear those handshakes!  Are you in need of more Tapping Friends?  Remember you can always find friends on our Add Friends Page (and here for ones who pledge not to vandalize you)…the best (and only way) to submit your Add Me requests on TSTO Addicts!

So with the Level 42 update, EA also gave us the 9th Social Currency Event Prize…KBBL Radio Station!  A new building for your Springfield!  And like Channel 6 and Cletus’s Farm (and Open Air Stage) this building has jobs you can complete to earn more money!  So now my friends let’s break down this 9th…and final for now (at least until EA decides to add more)… Friendship Prize.  Just want to remind you all with this update it’s important to remember to SLOW DOWN.  There’s no rush to get the FP’s, so take your time and enjoy it!  🙂

Anywho…KBBL is unlocked once you’ve unlocked Cool Lisa AND earned an additional 4,500FP…so many of you should be unlocking it sometime in the next few days (depending on how many friends you have) or you should have it already.  So what happens when you unlock this building?  Does it do anything? What are the new Broadcasts?  What about a questline?  Well let’s answer all of your questions by taking a closer look at KBBL Radio now…

KBBL

Once you’ve completed Friendship Level 8 and earned an additional 4,500 FP you’ll unlock KBBL and you’ll see this message popup:

FPLvl9

Once you return to your Springfield you’ll find KBBL in your Inventory. You will have to go into your inventory to unlock it completely.  It will not automatically be in your Springfield.

Some quick facts about KBBL:
-It’s 6×7 in size
-6 Money Earning Broadcasts

Once placed some dialogue and a task will popup in your game:

Good Morning, Springfield!

Homer: Woo Hoo!  The radio station is back.  Now when I’m at work I can listen to Bill and Marty instead of all those annoying warning sirens.
Broadcast Bill and Marty at KBBL– 4hrs, Earns $750, 200xp and Costs $315 to run.

As I said, it’s like Channel 6 or Cletus’s Farm (or even Open Air Stage) and gives you a series of money earning broadcasts you can run.  Here’s a look at those broadcasts:

KBBL Tasks

Now that you’ve completed Level 9 and gotten your last Friendship prize, what’s next?  Well it’s onto Level 10.  What does that mean exactly?  Basically the same thing it meant before only a level higher.  You won’t accumulate more points (no FPs will pop out of buildings when you visit friends, or when you clean spray paint in your town, or when you clear handshakes in your Springfield)  instead EA has come up with a different way to encourage you to keep visiting your friends:

level6

Yes, that says TRIPLE the money.  Which means…you’ll earn $90 per friend interaction when visiting neighbors, or $270/neighbor.  Talk about a good way to earn some extra $$$.  If you have 100 neighbors that’s $27,000/day you can earn JUST from visiting your friends!  Pretty sweet huh?  Before you know it that Escalator to Nowhere will be all yours!

Well that’s in my Friends.  What do YOU think of the KBBL making it to the game?  Have you unlocked it yet?  Did you earn it via FP or did you spend donuts to get it faster?  Were you excited they added it to the game?  Sound off in the comments below…you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Is it possible that when maxing out on FP and XP and one has earned the first bonus box that you cant get any bonus donuts through visiting friends anymore?

  2. Just curious. I’m maxed out on friends points. I know you get more money from visiting friends, but do you get more tickets in krustyland?

  3. am i getting lucky or is this normal…ever since i maxed my friendship level i’ve gotten free donuts!! yes free donuts! its been two days and every time i go through all my friends i get a random donut! is this happening to you as well???

    • When you max out donuts will appear at random when visiting neighbors. Sometimes they pop up quickly and often, other times they’re not as plentiful and you could go a little bit with out finding any. But it’s definitely a sweet bonus! 🙂

  4. I love this one! And you don’t have to buy a premium decoration to get the four hour broadcast… Also sweet.

I re-did my channel 6 area, and it fits well together 🙂

  6. I was excited to finally see KBBL; have been hoping for it since Stampy made an appearance

  7. I’m earning about 120 per tap (360 from each neighbour). Am I doing the math wrong or this is a glorious glitch?

  8. I thought it was just a dumb decoration. It actually sat in my inventory for a couple of days after I got it. Turns out it’s a pretty cool FP prize.

  9. Got 6 donuts visiting friends today!! So keep on visiting after you get KBBL you just might get half a dozen of these scrumptious treats

    • Dang thanks for that! I’ve been wondering if that was still going.
I probably have 10 days since getting kbbl visiting 50-60ish friends without 1 doughnut yet..

  10. Just before the unlock pic it says
“Once you’ve completed Friendship Level 8 and earned an additional 4,500 FP you’ll unlock Cool Lisa and you’ll see this message popup:”
    Shouldn’t that say 3000FP, level 9 and KBBL 😉

  11. It says just before the unlock pic
“You’ll unlock cool Lisa and see this unlock screen”
    Shouldn’t it be KBBL 😉

  12. KBBL is going to give me something stupid! Did I win?! Oh wait, I already got Stampy.

  13. Half way there.Got 2400! Yay! 🙂

  14. I have an observation and not sure where to post it. I am level 42 and have maximum “friends”. I have visited every single one of them every single day, even after the 60 emblem limit kicks in.

My complaint??? I have 22,000 emblems compared to most who have approaching 40,000. And I finally figured out why! My name beings with the letter “T”. Most people begin their visits from the beginning of the alphabet until they reach their 60 emblem limit and then they stop, far far from the end of the alphabetical list! Consequently, I don’t receive a lot of visitors due to this emblem cap.

I do have some loyal friends who visit me every day regardless and I thank them heartily. But, I think EA needs to rethink this for the next event. Thanks for letting me vent 🙂

    • Anytime 🙂 And sorry you’re so low in emblems. Are you completing Number 1’s tasks daily?

      • I noticed that this could be a problem and started rotatating where I start each day. I also begin with the neighbors who have the lowest emblem count.

    • I alternate how I go through my friends by starting in Other Springfield and either tapping the left or right arrow. I figure that keeps things as fair as possible for those on either side of the alphabet.

    • I don’t think it matters how you visit your friends, just so long as you’re doing it. Every spy action gives them emblems. I visit every single one of my friends daily and the majority do the same for me. People who are only going to their max 60 are not only doing a disservice to their friends but to themselves…I mean, I still want to get my money, XP, FP (when applicable), and donuts (when FP is maxed)… you would think everyone would feel the same about that. :\

    • That is one thing I liked better about easter. I wish they had done the same thing where the first ones you visited gave you the most, but every click gave you at least one to keep the incentive going. I did notice lots more visitors once this new FP level hit. I’ve visited everyone every day, but not everyone does that.

  15. I unlocked KBBL the other day! I think it is a cool building, it fits in great in my ” Entertainment Area/ Industrial Area”. Hope that EA will put some of the broadcasters in our towns as characters!!! Well, Thanks again for the informative post!! And KEEP making the world a happier place 1 tap at a time!!

  16. Really like my radio station, all classic country..now I have something to listen to while I am Tap-Tap-Tapping all Day long! The extra income will come in handy to help pay off the Sea-Land mortgage. Great site thanks for all of your help, you make this game fun to play. 🙂

  17. This might be my fav FP prize yet. It will also look great next to Channel 6 in my warehouse district.

  18. The KBBL Radio Station rocks. It is a great money maker. However, I have a question. When the KBBL was released I was on the verge of getting Cool Lisa. Right when I hit 5,000 FB, Lisa briefly popped up, but so did the KBBL Radio Station. When I went to go look for Cool Lisa in my inventory, it wasn’t there, but KBBL was. I tried all the suggestions in the Glitches section of this sight, but to no avail. Plus, now my game sometimes doesn’t save my progress. It is as if it can’t save the past 5 or ten minutes I have been tapping. I have contacted EA. Has this happened to anyone else?

  19. Only problem I have with it is that I can see no visible sign that there is anything being broadcast. Where channel 6 has the moving satellite dish there is nothing on the radio station – it could do with some sort of animation. Other than that this is an awesome addition, especially for a free FP prize.

    • It’s a nice addition to my Springfield, but I also wish that it would give an indication that a broadcast is occurring. The tower has a nice animation (The call letters light up in sequence), but it is only being activated by friend visits, not by broadcasts. I hope EA will fix this when they release a post-stonecutter-event update.
