What a Wookiee Wants: More Krustyland Ideas

What do you call Chewbacca when he has chocolate stuck in his hair?

A Chocolate Chip Wookiee.

Sorry, had to share but does that make me a cheesey poof Wookiee?  Consider that as the world turns lol.  Anywho… I realized it had been a while since I did one of these WAWW posts and figured I’d use some of my extra photos from my latest sojourn to Krustyland in Hollywood to bring out some ideas.

As a theme park enthusiast and annual pass holder to several, Krustyland is one of my favorite parts about TSTO.  I enjoy designing my park but always find myself wanting more for it.  It should come as no surprise that I’ve done several posts with ideas for our game.  (Here’s the last one.)

The queue for The Simpsons Ride is ripe with all manner of things that are great ideas for the game.  Every time I visit, I try to find new things I haven’t discussed before.  So far I think I’ve been successful.  First up, signs.  There’s a ton you can see and here’s two I really liked this time.

Balloon Parade Yard Work Simulator Krustyland

I totally wish the balloons from Springfield could go in Krustyland.  We could all make some cool designs and that CBG poster just looks funny.  I think the designers could have some fun designing a sciency looking building that would house this with tasks for CBG and others.

Next up, the map.  If you’ve read previous posts, you know that a ton of what we have in game comes from the Krustyland map displayed on the ride.  Once you walk through Krusty’s mouth, it’s one of the first things you see.  Here’s what it looks like currently in Hollywood.  P.S. That girl with the awesome mohawk on the bottom right is my beautiful and cool as heck sister.

You can see more of the map and the list of rides on it here in my first WAWW post for Krustyland way back in the day.  I took some more pics of individual things on the map.  First up, what The Screamatorium of Dr. Frightmarestine might look like if it was brought into the game.

Screamatorium Krustyland

I’ve mentioned Captain Dinosaur’s Pirate Rip-Off before, but here’s what that awesome make-fun-of-Pirates of the Carribean-ride looks like on the map.

I also think the Tilt ‘N’ Spew ride looks swell.  Next up is a shot of the Krustyland Hotel and Duff Pavilion on the map but what I really want from this is that beer fountain and even more, the gondola lift attraction on the left which makes me miss the Disneyland Skyway.

Last image from the map is the Sea Captain’s Queasy-Time Lagoon Ride.  I’ve been wanting water in Krustyland since its inception and this would be better than nothing.

Queasy Time Lagoon

The last few images I drew inspiration from come from inside the ride right before you go on the motion simulator.  There’s a lot going on in this portion but I like to watch the TV Monitors for all the silly gags.

Merlin's Medieval Joust Krustyland

No idea what this would look like but it makes me excited thinking about it.  EA recently made never-before-seen stuff so why not this?  Next up something I thought we all could make ourselves. Just make an area with nothing but lines and you’ll probably have succeeded.

Krusty's Theme Park Line Ride Krustyland

This last one is not a ride and probably not NPCs anyone wants but I felt I’d be remiss if I didn’t show the Punk Rock Grapefruit ad.  What exactly is dancing grapefruit experience?

Well, that raps up this edition of What a Wookiee Wants.  I’ll leave you with one last poster of something Krustyland already has.  I just think it’s neat that the name is a little different.

Y’all stay classy.  TTFN… Wookiee out!

  1. Water in Krustyland seems like the biggest omission. I’ve been to a lot of parks and there’s always some kind of fake river/water. Plus the hotel needs a pool (what kind of resort doesn’t have a pool! And a water ride….

My Krustyland is very sad right now…

  2. There are some things i’ld like to cross over to crusty land. The square/rectangle bushes. Many have done mazes in their springfeild and it would look awesome in Kl. I also wish the thanksgiving balloons could go there ( I have one next to krusty burger and one next to itchy and scratchy on the boardwalk) but could look cool in Kl. But I would like them to give us more rides or at least themed decorations ( the duff edges for example where a cool additiob for the duff Pavillion)

  3. Its about time EA spent some quality time on an update for Krustyland its pretty much been static since its been released other than a couple of extra items etc nothing major has happened with it, I’m bored of it now but thats because the developers are pretty much neglecting it so its not fun to play in Krustyland, I’d love to see new quest lines etc on a regular basis

  4. I was just curious I want to redo my kl and now that the bomb option is back, if I click in it to store all my items in krustylland will it also store everything in my normal town or just in kl?

  5. Mmmmmmm beer fountain.

I would like to be able to take more decorations across to KL..thexmas andhalloweeen as well as SAD to build theme areas.

This would at least for me address the space problem in Springfield.

  6. Being a Krustyland lover, I’d settle for anything new. But I’m with you, Wookiee Monster (see what I did there with your cookie joke…lol?), water is needed in our parks. So many cool possibilities and ideas could be had. Also, a train ride with different shapes of tracks would be great fun.

  7. WOW What a fantastic article. It is so refreshing to find a TSTO blogger who loves KL as much as I do. There are some who only berate KL & mock players who take pride in trying to make their KLs attractive. I would love to have some visuals on the KL rides e.g. whenever I send Marge & Homer to ride the Tunnel of Love, how great would it be to see them going around? I would also welcome some flora unique to KL, some water and a “visit next KL neighbour/friend” button as we have for SF. Just as an aside, I am wondering how many KL millionaires there are out there. I recently became one this week 🙂

    • Well thanks! I love my KL, just wish for more to keep building it. My entry is actually a semi-tribute to Disneyland. More visuals would be incredible and I think a bunch of us would like more decorations. As for KL millionaires, I don’t know. I’ve probably spent that much in tickets and have 150K banked.

  8. Phil...add me neighbors lol

This looks and sounds awesome… I’m new to this game and this site.

  9. Tapped out life

The Screamatorium would definently be a cool addiction to my Krustyland. Right now there is only so much you can do with the items you can use. A new wave (even if it’s small) would be very cool!

  10. Great ideas! At this point I’d take anything new for my Krustyland.

  11. I just want a regular water spewing fountain for in game cash, more land and a plethora of new rides and decorations.

  12. I would like it if the elephant was allowed to go over to Krustyland and give rides to the kids

  13. I love the tribute to great theme park lines! 😀 I’ve tried to make some non-sensical lines around my attractions with varying success, but one of my long-term Krustyland goals is take a page from another long-running animated television series (featuring another rotund main character as well as someone that favors red hoodies who dies in every episode) and put in The Line Ride. Just one long, twisty line, going nowhere in particular. This would amuse me greatly.

Besides more attractions, I definitely think Krustyland could stand to see a few more decorations, and like many others wish that more items could be used both here and Springfield.

  14. Universal studios is awesome

  15. Awesome stuff. The Screamatorium of Dr. Frightmarestine is the one I like most, it would be so cool to get it this Halloween! Art work on the posters look really good, I want to see all of them. Hmmmm…..Does that make you a Cheesey Poof Wookiee? Allow me to sit and ponder As The World Turns, these are The Days of Our Lives.

Can’t find the thread where you asked what we thought you sounded like… well, this is what I think you sound like 😉

You know how I feel about KL. I want more! There are so many cool things that could be done there, I want more 3D options is probably tops on my list 🙂

  18. Great post Wookiee. I too am fond of my Krustyland. I am still playing around with it. I would also like to see water and the ability to transfer some of the Easter prizes over like EA did for Valentines Day. Some of the other decorations from Springfield like trees, benches and lounge chairs would be cool too. So many possibilities 🙂

  19. Yes! More Krustyland!
