4th of July has arrived in Springfield! And what’s the 4th of July with out a little Rockets Red Glare? Giuseppe has been introduced into the game…the Firework King! So now that we have an all new event to keep our tapping fingers busy, you know what that means right? Time for an all new Turbo Tappin’!
As I mentioned in the rundown post, Homer and Apu get things started prompting you to build Giuseppe’s Workshop. So let’s get to Tappin’ shall we?

If run from start to finish, with out using donuts, it should take you 3days and 17hrs to complete.

Hi, have been away this past week and haven’t really kept track but I think my quest is stuck on Lisa starting. Is there any way of re-triggering as the usual inventory trick doesn’t work?
What step are you stuck on?
Part 7 is glitched for me. Giuseppe’s action is locked (“requires: Quest) despite the game telling me that it’s a requirement. Have tried accessing it both through his character and the actual quest “Do It” button.
Have put Giuseppe in my inventory for an hour, closed out of the game and even reset my iPad. No luck. My only other idea is to wait until Homer’s finished his part and try again.
Any other advice as to how to get this rolling? Many thanks!
Outside of uninstall/reinstall the game or contact EA…looks like you already are trying the basics. (Store building character came with. Wait for other characters to become free and try again.)
See what happens after Homer is done. Before you send him again, store the Cooling Towers/restart device/replace them. Then send him on his way and see what happens (If it doesn’t trigger anyway when you replace the Towers.)
Hi, I think I have the same problem at the “Failure to Launch Pt.7” with the task “Make Giuseppe Confront Mr. Burns”, it’s locked.

Try Bunny’s advice and let us know. It may ultimately have to be fixed by EA.
It’d be awesome if like every 7 days you play you get 7 Donuts on the 7th Day as the only way to get the Free Donuts other than the secrets is by Leveling up.
Did anybody else notice that on the “make republicans hold a rally” task that you could send Kodos (who posed as Bob Dole in Treehouse of Horror VII) but not Kang (who posed as Bill Clinton)?
That throwback joke made the whole quest line worth it for me. Such detail!! Much love, EA!!

What happens when you finish the line of quests??? Any donuts? Any new quests? Any ANYTHING?!?
The main quest ends without anything but there are two donuts earned on the second to last quest in it.
Having a problem with failure to launch part 6. It’s asking for cooling towers which I already have. But it wont let homer do his job safely… any ideas??
Try storing all the 3 plant parts and then replace them to see if the option comes back.

Before homers does his job task he talks about “it’s Ceylon’s turn now”
Who is Ceylon?
I haven’t read this bit of dialogue but I can tell you Sri Lanka used to be called that. Also a computer programming language deeply influenced by Java.
I giggled at this. I almost wonder if they meant the Cylons…Like from Battlestar Galactica, but somehow it was spell corrected to Ceylon. Which may also work as a geek coding option used. Lol.
POP!! After about 12 hours of getting that message, now it’s working properly.
Hi all! I’m up to Part 4 of Failure to Launch but when I try to send republicans to the rally, I’m brought to the build menu for the Community Center, which is something I’ve never bought. Could that be correct–that the rally is at a site bought by donuts?

I only had 4 of the listed republicans (level 14) but Ned can go too, so that gave me the 5.
Flanders is also a republican but is not on that list if you have Flanders homer Cletus burns and krusty you will be fine

I really wish EA would add a cancel option for player tasks. Sometimes, I’m tapping so fast and doing say 4 hour tasks for everyone and I get to one that has a 6 hour task so I hit, then the next pops up with the 8 hour task on the top and I accidentally push it. D’oh! Oh how I wish I could cancel before they actually start their task…
If the character came with a building (like Milhouse came with his home) if you want to put a stop to the task right away, just place that building they came with into storage and it will pull them out of the task. Some can’t be stored, but many can.

After reading the entire dialogue it’s debatable whether or not to post it. Very controversial….worse than when Herman came to Springfield.
Especially just now still its very funny and we can’t censor ourselves because of a bunch of……people who have strongly held views….
What’s wrong with my views? I like looking out the windows at the beach and shoreline. It is a great view. 😉
Just got into the quest line and wow, you weren’t kidding. EA’s writers have all the subtlety of a box of hammers (and saying it’s worse than the Herman questline is saying an awful lot)

Is the Rex Banner quest line the same from last year? I got him last year and there was a task for him today but the quests seem to be the exact same to my disappointment.

i like the American Flag also ( even though im canadian ) , u can put it behind some building and it looks very natural, the one i got last year i have behind my town hall, maybe ill get one for the library this yeah and the high school, and any government building…or is it a unique item i forget……

It may be greedy but I really hope they bundle Washington and Lincoln together, I want them both but don’t have enough donuts for either one. I would actually consider going premium if I could buy both for like 200 donuts…are you listening EA?
no item like last year only 2 dough nuts , that is kinda lame if u ask me ( unless your not telling us something yet ). last year it was the box of fire works which is like what 2.00% bonus exp,
and one other thing….is the “Sit on it and rotate ” a permanent item or just for the 4th holiday ?

You can wait to update via the market, just keep in mind your are on “borrowed time” and your game can force the update at any moment.
So, did I miss out on much by not getting the final parchment task completed? (I’m at level 29, no herman)
Just the Ark. It is a cool looking decoration, but doesn’t do anything as far as tasks wise.
You can start the 4th stuff without updating to the Stonecutter removal. It’ll all still be going when you finally HAVE to update.
