4th of July has arrived in Springfield! But, with that limited-time label it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. . But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add George Washington & his Cherry Tree to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this President to your Springfield.
Character/Building: George Washington and Ye Olde Cherry Tree
Donut Price: 180 Donuts
Dimensions: 3×3
Bonus: 2.75% bonus to all cash and xp

Pros:
-Premium character, earns 50% more cash and xp on all tasks
-Cherry tree is a nice colorful decoration, with a nice bonus at 2.75%
-Comes with his own questline.
-A couple of funny outdoor tasks
-Completes the 4th of July 2014 Character Set
-It’s George Washington!
Cons:
-At 180 donuts he’s quite the expensive purchase
-Not voiced, aside from a few groans
-After initial questline he has no interaction with any other characters
-A bit of a random character to be dropped in Springfield. Although he fits in better with the show than Abe did.
Final Thought:
I’m a history buff…so this, for me, is a MUST BUY. I absolutely love having Presidents in Springfield and who can say no to America’s first President? Well I guess someone who’s not American….So while I absolutely LOVE this character I realize it may not be for everyone. 180 donuts is a have a hefty price tag so make sure you think it over long and hard before you make the purchase. For me I pull the trigger on it just because I love the idea of the character, but for you it may not be that way. So be sure to weigh the pros and cons of this Founding Father before you make your final decision.
Just remember whatever you decide this is a LIMITED-TIME character and once he’s gone, he’s gone…so be sure to get him before July 16th if you’re thinking about making that purchase!

I’ve got the cherry tree and George Washington is in my inventory but I cant get him out!!!
I had 335 sprinkles. Was going to do Lincoln and George but ultimately went with the barge the tree and liberty Lisa for 7+ multiplier and a premmie. Now I have 21 over all multiplier. Also do George and Lincoln interact at all.
They don’t right now but if you put George’s tree near Lincoln’s cabin, you could set their tasks so they’re both chopping wood at the same time.
I’m not American I’m Aussie but still get Lincoln and washing machine ( Washington whatever his name is!) his tree looks rad and his George Washington!!! Lincoln’s hat is also awesome and never gets old!!!

Though one of my favourite scenes from the show is when George Washington appears in Lisa’s dream, urging her to reveal the truth about the town’s founder. Lisa wakes up yelling.
Lisa: I want to help you, George Washington.
Bart: [walking by her room] “I want to help you… George Washington”? Man, even your dreams are square.
Can somebody help. Since the update it logged me out. I can’t light back in. Its not giving me the option before the game starts. Is going straight into the game. Is there a way to log in, in the game? NEED HELP Please!!
Just wait in the game until the Bart and Milhouse button shows below. From there, tap on Bart and Milhouse again and you will see the pop up info for the neighbor management. Look to the bottom right corner for the option to “Add Origin Friends”. Tap on it. You will now be able to get into the log in screen. Just put in your email and password and you should be back to your game again.

***Sigh*** I think George and Abe would be enough to get me to leave a pure freemium state and buy donuts — If I had real cash available right now… (Of course, I was thinking the same thing about the stonecutter alien and the pyramid during the stonecutter event — too bad cash is such a rare commodity these days!)
Bunny, I have to ask: Do you really want extra cherry trees for the look they give your “A” game, or are you thinking of how they can be placed on the cement “canvas” to get that rare pink color into some of your artwork?

I knew I wanted him for my A town as soon as I saw it available in my B town, lol. Love the cherry tree look & I live just outside Washington, D.C. all the memorials n whatnot, the tidal basin surrounded by cherry trees they are beautiful! Plus I suppose he and Abe can reminisce together 🙂
Only 180 donuts? O ho ho…. It s funny, because i still need 250 donuts for Barny. He has my preference. It is still the same problem: Where will I take a hundreds of donuts what I need? Cash for donuts are better in real life 🙂 (i think).

I wondered the same when I saw it. Lol.
I really really want this, but I feel like it is a rip off for a little tree. I love the idea of the character though, an outdoor 4 hr. Quest would be the only possible improvement I could think of. If by the end of the event I still have some donuts to spare I will more than likely end up buying him.
It is similar to a building/character combo that we see all the time in the game. Just a change up as GW is more known with a Cherry Tree. I found it an interesting alternative. I like the color of the cherry tree and actually would have preferred that I could buy more of them with in game cash for decoration. Lol. His task hunting Jebediah is amusing.
That would make a lot of sense… if they wanted to they could have locked a cash decoration cherry tree behind the donut purchase easily enough… they locked the entire Fleet-a-Pita questline behind buying the cracker factory.
He’s running around with his sword looking for Jebediah as I write this. I figured Abe needed someone his own age to hangout with in the future. Personally I like this cherry tree and rearranged my townhall area to accomadate this as well as the new Lincoln memorial. 🙂

I got him. I’ve been wanting a different looking tree for a while now so I was happy this came along, plus I like the character. I’m not even American haha! But happy Independence Day neighbours (tomorrow)!
He was expensive but I had to spend the donuts as I am a completionist but if i had to get certain things he would be a little to rich for my blood as he doesn’t even come with a building. Why are Lincoln and Rex being released later in the game? I will be without any WIFI when they are released and cannot get them :'(
Just to spread out the event. This will be the 3rd time EA put Lincoln as a Limited Time item in the game.

Honestly, it depends on what YOU want in your game. Every player has their own tastes. I made a list of items I REALLY wanted, then weighed the pros and cons of each to decide what I would let go of my pink sprinklies for. What had tasks, what building is reused or adds to decor, what pays extra bonus, etc… 😉

Yes its a little bit pricey for a decoration/character combo rather than a building/character combo, but it fits with his character. I find it interesting he is hunting Jebediah Springfield, I wonder if that’s a lead in to Springfields founder showing up sometime down the line.

I really like the look of the tree myself. His hunt task makes me giggle.
It may be pricey, but I can’t help the fact that its a CHERRY tree!! I’m sure some are tired of pink since valentines, but its a new decoration & character. I love the way it looks and I love having another prez. Can’t wait to make this addition. 😀

Not many more than I do lol. I would buy a bunch too if I could. They could go in with the lemon/orange/apple trees for an orchard thing or they could go with easter or valentines stuff or even on playgrounds or in parks or with our new daycare. Lol… I’ll shush now 😉
