Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well 4th of July has arrived in Springfield and with it means fireworks and explosions! Of course anything illegal in Springfield means it’s time for Rex Banner to go on the hunt…and interrogate Flanders!
So for those Tappers that played TSTO last year you’ll already have both Rex Banner and All-American Apu in your Springfield’s. Well, EA decided to make use of both of those characters once again. So once you start the main questline (Failure to Launch), and are building Giuseppe’s Workshop, Rex will start a Redux of his quest from last year, Rocket’s Red Glare. Somethings are different, some are the same..but most important it makes EXCELLENT use of the Interrogate Flanders Animation!

If ran from start to finish, without using donuts, it will take you 3 days and 16hrs to complete.
Keep in mind, again, that this is info for those who ALREADY have Rex and All American Apu in their games from last year. If you don’t currently have Rex he’ll be available on July 11th…once he’s released we’ll post if the questline is different than what you see here.

Anyone else notice that not all stonecutters could buy fireworks. I have all the costumes but only Willy and grampa were able to buy fireworks in their costume. The only one I am not sure about is homer as he was on a different task at the time. Any reason for this? I like to keep characters in their costumes and it bugged me that I had to change them back to do this quest!
It is just who ever EA decides is involved in each task.
Everyone except kids could buy fireworks but only Willy and grampa could do it whilst in stonecutter costume, the other stonecutters had to be in normal attire to be sent in the task. Just thought it was strange :-s lol. Love the site btw, keep the info coming!

I don’t question what EA does anymore, I just roll with it. So many silly things. Lol
I’m pretty sure Mr. Burns was able to buy the fireworks in all his costumes, but I will double check the second time the task is prompted.
So, I checked and the following were the only ones able to buy the fireworks in alternate costumes and that is all their possible alternate costumes.
Burns, Willie, Ned, Moe, Homer, Marge, Grampa, and Wolfcastle.
If the diner doesn’t unlock until the 11th, and you need American Apu to finish the quest, will we get the skin as part of the quest? Or still need to purchase it separately? (trying to decide if I should buy it now or wait…)
The skin is separate from the quest and Rex’s quests will start without the skin.
Kearny’s not a kid anyway. He has one of his own, went to school with Otto, and remembers the Bicentennial.
Althrough it could be Otto was held back many years
I have Rex from last year so I’m almost done his questline.
I also managed to get lucky and “quick finish” rex’s paranoid android redux quest which requires Homer to start. Homer was wandering around doing his part of Guiseppe’s “find lost fireworks” quest and I saw it would finish when I got up this morning.
I set Rex to interrogate Ned before I went to bed and when I got up I tapped Homers “thumbs up” first, the dialogue boxes popped up between him and Rex, and Rex got prompted to “interrogate Flanders”. I tapped Rex & Ned — boom! Task complete.
And all because of some awesome people here at TSTOaddicts always giving us a heads up on tasklines. Thanks again!

Both will be premium.
4th updat update problem: I missed out on last years 4th of July giveaways all year lon for it to come out t for it to come out this year. Only to find out that I am having trouble purchasing and Abraha and Abraham Lincoln. If anybody else is experiencing these problems please comment need a fix quick items. show that they show that they are unlocked except for the Nighthawk diner and Abraham Lincoln’s cabin.
They will unlock on the 11th. We threw up the tappin guide now because the questline already started for tappers who had Rex from last year.
Part 3 is repeat of part 2. I thought i had a glitch and came here just to be sure. Lol
Giuseppe is buying fertilizer right now.
I have Rex from last year, though he’s spent more of the past 12 months eating Banana KaBooms than solving crime. He’s currently lurking at Kwik-e-Mart, totally unaware of Giuseppe’s plans.
I love having the Nighthawk diner – it’s strategically placed adjacent to the tv station, police station, hospital and Calmwood. Just a short walk from Town Hall and the Courthouse too!
I have the box of fireworks, and liberty bell too – both were freebie gifts last year. In fact, EA handed out the golden calf and the tiny sushi place (with Blinky as the decoration on the roof) as freebies in the wake of a few past events; it was a great surprise and cool to get out-of-left-field premium gifts!
Do you think they’ll do that again?

Quest are wack it was good last year but i was hopin for something different this is da same things he did last year with less task… i guess tho hopefully they change the task later on my rex been doin these task sincr last year ITS TIME FOR CHANGE lol
i dont have Rex yet because i just start the game from the mid’ Easter event, duh’ i thought it was a shooting game.. wish me luck. 😊
I always thought the Nighthawk Diner was one of the cooler buildngs when I started this game early this year. It has an iconic background outside of the show [Edward Hooper’s original painting, etc.]. I even reserved a place for it… and then I realized that space was becoming an issue. Now it’s a premium and I just got my doughnut count back to where it was before the EAster disaster (~120 doughnuts all gained in-game. I have not spent a single REAL dollar). Now I’m left wondering if I use most of these to get the building or wait for something incredible deal.
I went looking for last years quest line and was surprised to find that the oldest dates on tstoaddicts was 8/14 (or 8/4 can’t remember which)
